Peter knew that when he became Spider-Man one of the most important- arguably the most important- thing was to keep his identity a secret. He'd done a good job of it, the only people besides Tony, Happy, Pepper and Rhodey who knew were May, Ned and MJ who figured it out as she's very observant, so Peter considers this a success. He had considered revealing his identity at some point during adulthood, but somethings just don't go to plan.
Peter tweeted on what he thought was his private account that only Ned, MJ, May and Tony follow. He tweeted himself recreating the "it's Wednesday my Dudes" vine as Ned told him he had to do it. What Peter didn't realise was that he forgot to switch from the official Spider-Man account to his private, so everyone could see him without the Spider-Man mask.
Peter sent the tweet and within seconds he was bombarded with notifications.
"Oh shit!" Peter exclaimed as he realised his mistake. Instantly he phoned Tony, not knowing what else to do.
"H-hey Mr Stark." Peter stuttered into the phone.
"What did you do now kid? I thought we'd gotten over the whole calling me 'Mr Stark' thing. It was dad the other day," Tony teased, smiling to himself when he recalled Peter calling him 'dad'.
"Well you know how I have this whole secret identity, and I had no plans of revealing my identity any time soon. Well... I may have, sort of, accidently posted a video of myself recreating a vine on the official Spider-Man twitter account and I'm not wearing the mask." Peter blurted out and was met with silence on the other end. After a few, rather tense moments of silence for Peter, Tony began laughing- which was not the response Peter expected from Tony.
"Only you Pete, only you." Tony chucked. "Look, it's too late to delete the tweet so maybe, I don't know answer some questions that anyone wants to know, just try not to give too much away about yourself kid." Tony added.
"Okay, thanks Tony." Peter replied.
"No problem Pete, I'm on my way now to come pick you up. See you in about an hour." Tony said before hanging up.
Peter groaned, he couldn't believe how he had just revealed his identity, over a vine of all things. He supposes that's just his Parker luck coming back to haunt him.
