Chapter Text
Earthland was so bright. To think the lion of the sun, the very constellation that helped give it warmth, was suffering under its rays. The longer he stayed in the human realm the more he noticed how strange and different the lighting really was. In the stars he was bathed in a constant well toned light; With stars and lamps shining from every possible angle there was no shadow nor harsh unpredictable glares. Despite once proudly wielding Regulus, the Leader of the Zodiacs couldn’t even handle a bit of Earthland light.
His eyes wavered in and out of a blurry state as he walked, Ethernano of the atmosphere attacking his pupils every living second. Despite not having a clear direction in mind, his feet moved towards a particular town instinctively. But it was hard to concentrate on the path ahead as the very air itself attacked his senses and his eyes were first to succumb to its power.
The spirit winced one eye in a blazing pain and the other followed seconds after. He shut them tight and reached out to stabilize his body on a nearby fence on the dirt road he was traveling on, the other hand clutching his face tight as the migraine overtook him. Closing his eyes tight, the buzzing in his head began to subside and he shakingly stood back up. It was not as long nor as painful as attacks prior and he was at least grateful for that. Leo slowly opened his eyes, blinking them to refocus.
Continuing down the street as if nothing occurred he found himself in a small town. Looking down the street Leo noticed a helpful looking vendor. Digging through his pocket he jangled the coins that Master Bob had gifted to him. They were meant for housing but if he was really travelling towards that Guild he would make more in time, for however long that time was anyway. Besides, he couldn't do work if he couldn’t see. Taking out a small portion, the banished spirit squinted at the shop and went inside.
Walking out, Leo adjusted his newly purchased sunglasses. Looking around his eyes began to cool, protected from the toxic magical particles under the lenses. Despite not wanting to recognize it, the world also became shrouded in a blue glow; It was a familiar hue that comforted the lion as he continued his purposeless journey far from home.
