1 Month Before the Wedding . . .
When Jimmy came into the room, Scott was pacing.
His arms were crossing and there was crumpled up paper everywhere.
Scott himself, looked like a mess. His hair was unkempt and his wings looked disheveled
"Petal? Is everything okay?" Jimmy asked, closing the door behind him and walking further into the room. Scott paused his pacing for a moment to look at his fiancee, before continuing his stressed state.
"Yeah its fine, everything's fine" Scott gave a shaky smile.
"Scott, i've known you long enough to know that your not fine." Jimmy moved closer and took Scott's hands in his and gave a reassuring smile "If something is bothering you, you can tell me"
"It's just- You know how we're getting married?"
"Yeah?" Jimmy tilted his head in confusion.
"And that we have to invite our families?" Scott gave a nervous smile and Jimmy took a moment to process what Scott was trying to say.
"Yeah?" Jimmy said once again. Scott blinked at him.
"Ahem, our families, specifically my family" Jimmy stared at him for a while before he got it.
"Oh! Petal are you nervous about inviting your family to our wedding?"
"Maybe" Scott sighed, and gestured to the large amount of crumpled up paper around his desk. "I'm not sure how i'm supposed to invite them, or how they're gonna react. I haven't seen them in a while..."
"Hey. It'll be okay, if they've got issues then they're gonna have to go through me!" Jimmy declared proudly. Scott laughed.
"Sure Sunflower"
Ten Days Before the Wedding . . .
"Your Majesty. Reports from the Cod-father have claimed that there have been a large amount of crows harassing him recently, and he is requesting advice on what to do"
"Jimmy's being harassed by crows?"
"It appears so your majesty"
"Thank you Sir Strawberry, I will send a response to the cod-father soon"
"Jimmy. Being harassed. By a murder of crows."
"That's what the letters say."
"Oh Aeor... I should've known this would happen"
"Is everything okay Lord Smajor?"
"Yes, yes. Just... Tell Jimmy to throw seeds at them or something"
"Of course, right away Lord Smajor"
Five Days Before The Wedding . . .
"Uhm, Scott?"
"Yes Katherine?"
"Why is there a pit of water where one of the seats should be?"
"Oh that, you don't need to worry about it"
"Uhhh. Okay?"
The Day Of The Wedding . . .
"Are you alright Petal?" Jimmy asked. Scott was wringing his hands and his posture was tense.
"Yeah yeah, it's just. My family should be coming soon and... yeah..." Scott explained and Jimmy held his hand.
"It's gonna be alright, they can't be that bad" Jimmy tried to reassure him. Scott took a deep breath as the doors to the church opened, and the first few guests flooded in. Two of the first being Lizzie and Joel.
"Can't believe the small damaged egg is finally getting married" Lizzie sighed, giving her brother a pat on the shoulder.
"I wasn't that small. Damaged maybe, but small? No." Jimmy pouted, making Joel and Lizzie laugh. Joel put an arm around Jimmy's shoulder.
"This reminds me of me and Lizzie's wedding. Wasn't that amazing?" Joel smiled.
"We got married in a weird blood-cult church and Joey tried to profess his love for the demon" Lizzie deadpanned.
"Yeah I think it was pretty amazing" Joel grinned, making Lizzie face-palm.
"How are we feeling guys?" Katherine asked as she walked up to the four.
"Great!" Jimmy gave a thumbs up.
"Scared" Scott said, holding Jimmy's hand tighter.
"Aw why?"
"Scott's scared for when his family shows up" Jimmy answered for him, and Scott groaned.
"I'm sure they can't be that bad" Katherine smiled, Scott shook his head.
"You don't know my family, this is going to be really awkward..." Scott whined, Jimmy laughed.
"Oh i'm sure it'll be fine" Joel reassured.
"Uh-huh, totally" Scott sarcastically grumbled.
"CAW!" The sound of a crow could be heard as a few flew in through an open window.
"Huh?" Lizzie and Katherine said at the same time.
"Oh no it's happening" Scott groaned and he put his head in his hands.
"What? What's happening?" Jimmy asked. Joel was about to add something before the doors slammed open forcefully.
There was the silhouette of a tall man in standing in the doorway. He had wings that were at least ten feet long. All eyes turned to him, and some even pulled out their swords. Some people shrank back in fear as the man rushed forward. Katherine, Jimmy, Lizzie and Joel jumped out of his way, and he stopped in front of Scott.
"Little starborne is getting married!" The man smiled as he crushed Scott in a hug.
"Hi Dad..." Scott gave a shaky smile.
"Prime! It's been so long! How have you been?" The man asked as he let Scott down.
"Alright I guess. Running an empire is a bit difficult and stuff"
"Hold on, this is your dad?" Jimmy piped up as the man turned his head to look at him.
"Oh you must be the cod-father. Lovely to meet you, My name is Philza, but you can call me Phil." Phil shook Jimmy's hand as Scott nervously smiled.
"Nice to meet you! You can call me Jimmy. This is my sister Lizzie, her husband Joel and our friend Katherine, she's officiating the wedding"
"It's amazing to meet all of you. I can't believe that Scott's getting married" Phil smiled as he began to talk to Katherine about the officiating. Jimmy shuffled over to where Scott was standing.
"This doesn't seem that bad now does it?" Jimmy took Scott's hand again.
"This is just my dad, the rest of my family is still coming. Who knows how they're gonna react" Scott explained, looking over to Phil where he was admiring the church
"Oh Scott your mother is going to be so excited when she gets here" Phil exclaimed.
"I know..." Scott sighed as a gasp was heard from behind him.
"Scott this place is amazing!" A girl with pink hair, almost just like lizzie's, exclaimed as she popped up out of the water. She looked like a fish hybrid, sort of like Lizzie, but pink.
"Woah!" Joel said as the girl turned to them, smiling.
"Oh! Hello there!"
"This is my sister Niki" Scott said as he went over to the girl and gave her a small hug. She dipped under the water and resurfaced, waving to the others as she did.
"We've got matching hair!" Lizzie said in excitement, joyfully walking over to Niki in her little hole of water. "I'm Lizzie!"
"Nice to meet you Lizzie!" Niki smiled at her. "Jack should be here soon" She said. Jimmy and Joel walked over to join the others.
"I'm Jimmy! Scott's soon-to-be husband" Jimmy introduced himself, shaking Niki's hand. Niki narrowed her eyes at him. She dipped into the water and resubmerged.
"Huh. Nice to meet you too I guess" Niki said. Joel and Lizzie laughed at that.
"I have arri- AH!" Another voice chimed in from the doorway. He was partially on fire and there were blaze rods floating around him. He groaned from the floor as another boy laughed at him. "What the hell man!?"
"Don't be so grumbly Jack Mani-fall!" The younger boy continued to laugh at him. He had wings, similar to Phil's
"You literally pushed me!"
"No I didn't"
"Yes. You did!"
"My brothers, Jack, the blazeborne, and Tommy, the avian" Scott groaned as the two bickered
"Haven't got a clue what your talking about, it's that bald head of yours, affecting your brain I tell you" Tommy stated.
"What the fu- Scott! Niki! Back me up here!" The blaze looked towards the two other siblings and Niki laughed while Scott sighed.
"Hello to you too Jack, Tommy" Scott said as Niki duck under the water to laugh some more.
"Hello Scott!" Tommy bounded away from Jack where he was grumbling as Phil helped him up off the floor.. "Soooo... Where is this so called 'Cod-Man' or whatever it was"
"Cod-father actually, and that would be me" Jimmy waved. Tommy turned to him, and looked him up and down.
"Scott's getting married... To you?" Tommy narrowed his eyes.
"Uhh, yes?" Jimmy tilted his head in confusion. Scott put his head in hands as Jack came to sit next to Niki.
"Scott. You really picked this guy?" Tommy looked to Scott for confirmation before he went back to judging Jimmy
"Yes Tommy. I did"
"But why? This guy isn't even a 1 out of 10. He's all the way in the fucking negatives." Tommy exclaimed.
"Now now Tommy. Don't be rude" Phil said, putting a hand over Tommy's mouth.
"I mean he's got a point!" Jimmy jumped at a voice that was basically right by his ear. He looked around, but didn't see any new faces.
"Who said that?" Jimmy asked. Scott's family laughed at him, while Scott just sighed.
"On your shoulder Jimmy" Scott pointed to Jimmy's right. Jimmy almost shrieked at the sight of a very small man sitting on his shoulder.
"Oh- Uh hi?" Jimmy waved at the small man.
"Hello!" He said, poking Jimmy's cheek.
"My brother Sneeg" Scott reached out his hand for Sneeg to jump on, taking him away from Jimmy's shoulder.
"Hey Scott! I love the way you've built the place!" Sneeg whispered in Scott's ear. "I don't think Cod-guy can build like this"
"I heard that!" Jimmy whined.
"I'm just saying man, you don't look like the kinda guy to be the best at building" Sneeg shrugged.
"I mean, he isn't entirely wrong" Lizzie patted her brother on the back.
"Lizzie!"
"Sneeg's right, you don't give off the good-builder vibes" A new voice chimed in from behind Phil. Jimmy looked around that general area but there were no new faces.
"What was that?" Jimmy asked.
"That was me" Jimmy jumped as he heard the same voice but from behind him. When he swivelled his head to look around, there was still no one there.
"What-"
"Wilbur, stop teasing the cod-father" Phil sighed.
This time, Jimmy actually shrieked as a brown-haired man materialised in front of him.
"Wilbur, why must you do this..." Scott groaned as Wilbur floated over to him and pat him on the back.
"C'mon Scott, you know I can't resist freaking people out. Especially people like him"
"Hey! whats that supposed to mean?" Jimmy asked as Lizzie put a hand on his shoulder.
"Hush Cod-Guy. The important people are talking" Wilbur brushed him off and Jimmy sputtered in the background
"Wilbur, please stop" Scott sighed. Wilbur laughed.
"Uhm, has anyone seen my crown?" Joel piped up from the back.
"Joel please don't tell me you lost your crown" Lizzie frowned.
"I didn't lose it! I had it on my head like a second ago!"
"Uhm, I'm missing a bracelet" Katherine said, pointed to her bare wrist.
"Oh Prime... Fundy!" Scott called out, Joel shrieked as something jumped over his head.
"Hi Scott" A fox hybrid, wearing Joel's crown and Katherine's bracelet.
"Hey wait a minute-" Joel started.
"Fundy, give them back" Scott crossed his arms.
"I haven't got a clue what your talking about"
"Wait- Thats my crown!"
"Fundy." Phil glared, Fundy groaned and threw the crown back at Joel, hitting him in the face. Then took of Katherine's bracelet and gave it to her.
"This little thief is my brother Fundy" Scott sighed again.
"Wow, you have a lot of siblings"
"See Ranboo! It's not strange to wear slime to an important event!" Jimmy jumped again and turned around to see a shorter guy, except he was entirely made out of slime.
"Why do guys keep sneaking up on me?!" Jimmy whined, Joel gave him a pat on the back.
"Charlie, just because this peasant is wearing slime does not mean I am going to" An enderian, who was wearing regal clothing, somewhat similar to Scott's.
"Hi Ranboo, Hi Charlie, Hi Tubbo" Scott waved, Ranboo waved back but didn't take his eyes off of Jimmy. It was kinda making him uncomfortable.
"So this is the Cod-Father" A new face popped into his field of vision. He had bee wings on his back and large goggles sat atop his head.
"Uhm, Yes. Hi?" Jimmy waved, the enderian was still staring at him.
"Huh. Weird. What kind of origin are you? You've got slime on you, but you also have gills. But your breathing above water. Yet your skin is not made of Slime" The boy poked his face and touched some of the slime on his head.
"Tubbo, stop touching the peasant. Its disgusting" Ranboo said.
"Uhm, for the record. I'm not a peasant, I'm the ruler of the swamp empire." Jimmy mentioned. Ranboo stared at him in horror.
"Swamp?! Scott! Are you really gonna marry this guy?" He turned to Jimmy's fiancee.
"Yes, Ranboo. I am"
"But why? Couldn't you have at least married someone... cleaner?" Ranboo took a step back from Jimmy, even though he wasn't that close to begin with.
"Now now Ranboo, I think it's lovely thats Scott's getting married to him" A female voice, more ethereal sounding and her voice practically echoed along the walls. Stood in the doorway was a tall woman, wearing a large black hat with a black veil that covered her face. She was adorned in jewellery and had a lot of crows following behind her.
"My mother, The Goddess Of Death." Scott smiled.
"Please, call me Kristin" She waved as she went to stand next to Phil
"Hang on! Your mother is The Goddess of Death?!" Jimmy yelled.
"What?!" Pix shouted in the background.
"Wow. I was not expecting that" Katherine whispered, earning a nod from Lizzie.
"Oh Little Starborne this place is beautiful! And your getting married, never would I thought I'd see the day" She laughed as Scott went over to hug her.
"Uhm, quick question. Why do they call you 'little starborne'?" Joel asked, Scott groaned and Kristin chuckled.
"Well, look at this" Kristin ran a hand through Scott's hair and his hair began to glow. Before their very eyes, the hair that was once cyan was now purple, and looked like a galaxy floating around in his hair.
"Woah..." Everyone gaped as Scott held his head in his hands. Jimmy walked over to pet Scotts haired, and smiled as Scott leaned into the touch. Although he was grumbling about it.
"Can we please get on with the wedding, I want to go home-"
"Home! We should take the Cod-father to Origins and show him around!" Kristin suggested, Ranboo disagreed verbally. The others didn't say anything but you could tell that they were thinking it.
"Can we please move on..." Scott frowned as his dad gave him a pat on the back.
"Alright little starborne, but don't expect us to leave so soon! There's so much to catch up on!" He smiled and Scott groaned.
2 Months After the Wedding . . .
"Wait a minute."
"Is everything alright Jimmy?"
"Your dad is the Crow-Father right?"
"Yeah?"
"Is he the reason all those crows were attacking me?!"
"..."
"I thought he liked me!"
"Oh sunflower..."
