ALTERNATE ENDING 1
The machine broke, killing Clyde and injuring some of those present. There was no hope anymore, they couldn't travel back in time.
"Kenny..." Stan's whisper caught Cartman and Kyle's attention.
"I guess, no travel to the past for anyone" Cartman didn't even bother to disguise his happiness, he turned to look at his family with a smile and they ran to surround him in a hug.
"Kenny..." Stan looked at the wrecked machine with tear filled eyes, he had lost all hope. Kyle walked over to him and put a hand on top of his shoulder, trying to comfort him.
"I learned something today" he paused for a second to smile at the memories of himself as a child repeating that phrase so many times "the life we have now is solely our fault, we choose our path with our actions. We can't blame anything or anyone for how we ended up, we can't go back to the past and not accept that we did it wrong, now it's too late and we'll just have to move on with it, just as it is" Stan turned to look at him, he had some tears in his eyes, he nodded awkwardly tried to smile.
They had to live with their mistakes.
ALTERNATIVE ENDING 2
They watched as the line of people thinned out and people left with smiles on their faces. That hadn't happened in their future, they had definitely changed things but why were they still there? Shouldn't they have disappeared or something?
"Maybe, umm" Kyle mused out loud "I remember reading in a book that realities are infinite, maybe we alter this reality but ours still exists."
"What the hell?" Cartman whispered.
Stan looked at Kyle for a moment and then shrugged again watching the people leave happy after tasting his father's marijuana. At least a version of him would be happy.
"If you knew that what the hell didn't you say so before?" Cartman was ready to confront Kyle "I didn't want to travel back in time so I wouldn't lose my family and now I'm going to lose them anyway, damn it Kyle!"
"I didn't..." Kyle couldn't finish because Cartman punched him in the face. Soon the two began to brawl in between insults.
Stan pulled a flask out of his pocket and watched them punch each other. At least Kenny's wish would come true and they'd still be together.... Maybe.
ALTERNATE ENDING 3
"He's here" Kyle informed him rolling his eyes, he frowned not understanding who he was referring to until he followed Kyle's gaze and saw them, he smiled.
"Hey, Cartman's!" he walked towards them with Kyle at his side, he was glad to see them.
There stood the one who had been one of his childhood friends along with his wife and children. The children greeted Kenny with shouts of 'Uncle Kinny'.
His friend, who had always had something against the Jews, had ended up becoming part of the religion. Kyle still didn't accept it but Stan thought it was kind of funny, he rather liked that Cartman.
"Hey, Stan! " Cartman's kids came over to talk to Kyle's kids and his wife went after them.
Stan watched his four friends with a smile, he was happy to preserve their friendship despite the years and the distance.
ALTERNATE ENDING 4
"He's here" Kyle informed him rolling his eyes, Stan frowned, how was that possible? He was....
Cartman was standing next to Kenny, who seemed to be taunting him, behind them was a prison guard, who did not take his eyes off Cartman.
"I talked to the prison warden and they let him out for the day" Kenny explained to them when they reached them. Sure, who wouldn't do Kenny a favor?
"Just a half hour" clarified the prison guard. Cartman rolled his eyes, he was handcuffed hand and foot (Stan noticed some satisfaction in that from Kyle).
"It still seems incredible to me that, despite all the shit you've done, you went to prison just for evading taxes" commented Kyle. Stan still remembered how happy the latter had been when he heard the news.
"That's the way of the world, dear Khal, you can fuck anyone but the IRS."
The whole room laughed, damn blood sucking state, I guess....
ALTERNATE ENDING 5
"Look at this, Kenny, what a waste" Cartman called to his friend as he walked into the alley.
In front of them were Stan and Kyle, who appeared to have gotten high off Stan's father's new batch of marijuana. Both were asleep leaning against the dumpster, there was basic vomit and, what judging by the smell and color, terrible diarrhea.
"Oh, poor Cartman, he didn't do anything worthwhile with his life and now he's homeless" muttered the stoned Kyle in his sleep. After hearing that, Cartman was not at all sorry for being the cause of them being stoned, fuck Kyle, he was so obsessed with Cartman (mom says this is what happens to pretty boys, he reminded himself).
"At least they're friends again" Kenny shrugged, noting how Kyle's head was resting on Stan's lap (it would have been a cute scene to watch except Stan had puked all over Kyle).
"Yeah, at least..." that had been the plan, after seeing all the adults so happy with Randy's marijuana they weighed that it would serve to solve the problems between those two. "Let's go Kenny, let's leave this pair of assholes to their own thing" they walked out of the alley as they heard Stan say something like 'sure I want to hear about the new lawnmower offerings, Alexa'.
They didn't have time to make much headway before a piano fell silent on top of Kenny and killed him.
"Damn it, Kenny!"
