Life was good. Now that was just a lie all in on itself, Freddy knew that, he 'felt' it. It hadn't even been a full day before he was replaced, Bonnie that is, Bonnie was not here anymore. There are no more rabbits inside the pizza plex. The large bear animatronic sat still in his room, curtains draw as he sat in the dimly lit box of a room that would usually be very bright and cheerful. There was no point in being cheerful right now. He's an animal animatronic, he shouldn't be feeling like this, yet, why did it hurt so much? With a saddened huff, sounding close to an audible sigh, Freddy glanced down at his hands? Paws? either way, there clutched in his hands was Bonnies signature red bowtie, scuffed up and torn along the edges. It was only yesterday he saw bonnie practicing on his red guitar, bowtie neatly resting upon his upper chest. A knock sounded at his main bedroom door, breaking out of his thoughts Freddy stood from the stool near his dresser, shuffling over to the main door as it hissed open revealing Chica on the other side.
"Freddy! I thought I would find you here." She piped up with a small smile, not as bright as her smiles usually where.
"Chica? Did you need something?" The blue eyed bear asked, not sure why the bird animatronic was here in he first place looking for him, they had no rehearsals scheduled until next week for their new opening.
"I was sent to get you, we have a new band member already! You gotta come meet him!" The young bird explained with a giggle, always excited for new things, new people and especially when meeting and interacting with kids. It was a shock to Freddy to hear that the pizza plex had already replaced the iconic purple bunny guitarist with some 'stranger' so fast without any notice. Freddy didn't appreciate nor enjoy that what's so ever.
"I see, I will join you all shortly." Was all Freddy replied with, jaw clenching a little as he turned his back to the shorter guitarist, making his way back into his room. Moving over to his dresser, he hid the old red bowtie away out of site along side an older photo oh himself and Bonnie. Grimacing he shut the drawer with a little more force than necessary, come on now, just smile and be happy.
Finally having made it to the shared rehearsal room backstage, Freddy spotted Sundrop, Roxanne, Chica, Venessa and well, the new guy? An alligator by the looks of it, he looked rough, big and mean. Chica was the first to spot him, waving him over excitedly as the others also glanced over to the tall bear animatronic making his hesitant way over.
"Freddy! This is Montgomery! Or Monty for short! Isn't he cool?" She introduced the lead singer to their new base player, said new band member turned to face him, pushing his star shaped sunglasses up to better look Freddy up and down.
"Nice to meet you er, Montgomery." Freddy soon spoke up, voice unsure and filled with uncertainty at first as he held his hand out to shake hands with the other in a polite mannered way. This is who they where replacing his best friend with? This brute? Freddy wasn't impressed nor pleased in the slightest, this wasn't the same, why did Bonnie have to go? Why?
"Monty, call me Monty mate. It's uh, yeah, nice to meet you to." The alligator animatronic replied half hazardly as he shook Freddy's hand sluggishly in a lazy and uncaring manner. His people skills weren't the best just yet by the sounds of it, maybe they'd bring bonnie back. The tension was to thick in the air Roxanne was sure she could cut it with a knife, even Chica seemed nervous watching to two band members making first impressions of each other.
"Alright if we are all done with the His and Hellos, you should all be getting back to your rooms, rehearsal has been rescheduled for this Thursday, that's a day away." Venessa, the security guard announced, ushering for the animatronics to get a move on, already starting to turn the rehearsal room lights off.
"Hey Freddy, before you go." Venessa called out as the rest of the group headed out of the large room. Confused, Freddy stopped in his tracks, turning to face the shorter human before him.
"Could you show Monty here to his room? I've got to turn the rest of these lights off and all." She asked with a tired yawn, rubbing at her face in an exhausted manner. Glancing out of the room from where he stood in the open doorway, he watched Chica and Roxanne chatting with the gattor briefly before splitting off, leaving the new member of the crew standing their looking very much lost and confused. Heaving a sigh Freddy gave her a look before nodding.
"Of course Miss Venessa, have a good evening." He wished the security guard a good night before leaving the room, making his way over to the new guitarist. Clearing his throat, the singer looked the other over, he was nothing like Bonnie, this was horrible.
"Let me take you to your new room." Freddy offered, motioning off in the directions of the room locations. Monty seemed to chuckle, flicking his sunglasses back down over his eyes mockingly. (It seemed that way)
"Thanks er, Freddy was it? Yeah thanks. This place is huge." The alligator pointed out openly, causing the bear animatronic to roll his eyes as he led the new member to his rooms location, all the while showing him how to navigate the large building.
The two soon arrived at the green painted room, Freddy opened the door with a press of a Freddy shaped icon button, the door hissing open as it did. Looking side Freddy's eyes widened, a little gasp leaving him as he saw the newly decorated room, when had they changed all of this? What did they do with Bonnies things? Confused Freddy took a step back clenching his jaw.
"Hey, mate, Freddy you good? You seem spooked. Cat got your tongue or something?" Monty asked just as confused about Freddy's behaviour, continuing to watch the bear back up. Freddy heard 'mate' and a few cluster of words Bonnie always use to say, his brain becoming confused and jumbled.
"It's nothing Bonnie, just, not use to seeing this room in green." Freddy replied unaware of what he had called Monty, so taken back by the sudden change in decorations, colour and well, character.
"Monty, my names Monty not Bonnie? I thought you where great memory wise, or so that's what Roxanne and Chica where telling me." Monty corrected the lead singer, scoffing a little in annoyance at the small slip up, Monty had no idea who this Bonnie guy was anyway, no one had mentioned another band member to him? Blinking Freddy looked to the green alligator animatronic like he had just slapped him right then and there, now realising his mistake.
"I uh, my apologise Monty, I'm just. Sorry, I hope you rest well." Freddy apologised, tripping over his words, mumbling that last part just loud enough for Monty to hear before hurrying off, his head swirling with emotions and thoughts. How did he mess that up so badly? He remined him of Bonnie, no, Bonnie was not like Monty. Bonnie was a sweetheart, funny and his best friend, yes, not Monty. Making it back to his room, the door slid shut and locked behind him. With a trembling hand the bear animatronic stumbled over to his dresser, noting his low battery starting to take effect on his entire body and system. Grabbing for the old polaroid photo of himself and Bonnie in their favourite dinner a few floors up, the animatronic slid down the wall with a loud thunk, clutching the picture close. Weather he liked it or not, he was being forced to move on, the show must go on after all, he couldn't dwell on the past forever even though he wanted to.
The lights in his room soon shut off, plunging him in darkness as the buildings power diverted over to the animatronics charging bays. Before he could even think about the bouncing purple bunny any longer, he stood up to put the picture away, not before pressing a small kiss to it. With sluggish movements, Freddy stumbled over to his charging bay, allowing his mind to go blank, his systems fully shutting down going into recharge mode. He knew it would never be true but, he couldn't help but wish Bonnie would burst threw his rooms door to greet him, hug him even. That seemed to good to be true.
