Gojou woke up gasping, grabbing his chest right above his heart. He looks over at a sleeping Getou and pats his arm quickly.
“Suguru.” Gojou whispered harshly, nudging him.
The soft groan from Getou showed that he was awake. He moved slowly under the covers to face Gojou.
“-ru this better be important.” Getou said sleep still affects the way he talks.
“Promise me you will never break up with me on christmas eve.”
Getou’s eyes started to close again his hand reaching out to grasped Gojou’s shirt.
“I promise mmmm.” His words got all muffled as he jammed his face into Gojou’s chest with plans of falling back asleep.
“Suguru promise me.” Gojou whined, shaking his shoulders.
Getou lifted his head slightly off, “Promise, no break up on christmas eve, ok?”
Gojou let out a sigh of relief and settled back down into bed, “Ok.”
It was silent for a little bit longer before Gojou was hitting Getou again and trying to wake him up.
“Also you won’t force me to make a hard decision and kill you in order to protect others.”
Getou sighed. “I promise that I won’t–Gojou.”
Getou finally registered the words it seemed and he sat up looking at his boyfriend.
“Why the hell are you asking me to promise this?”
Getou’s brain was still trying to wake up and make sense of his ridiculous boyfriend.
Gojou blinked a couple of times, his bright blue eyes shining in the dark, “I had a bad dream. You broke up with me in front of a KFC and later I had to kill you to protect my students.”
They sat in silence, Getou digesting what Gojou just said before throwing his head back to laugh, “You a teacher!”
“Hey!” Gojou hit him with a pillow, “What’s that supposed to mean? I would make a great teacher.”
Getou grabbed the pillow he was hit with and placed it under his head getting comfortable again.
“I’m sure you would.” He told Gojou but there was definitely sarcasm in that tone.
“Anyway, will you just promise? I don’t know if I can go back to sleep while still thinking about it. Which means you won’t be getting any sleep.”
Gojou crossed his arms and looked away, he was tired and anxious about his nightmare. Getou’s arms slowly slid around him and a hand pinched his chin,Getou knows this is his favorite move, forcing him to turn his head.
“I promise that I won't force you to kill me to save your students.” He whispered against Gojou’s lips before placing a soft kiss on them.
“Now will you go to sleep?” Getou asked as he pulled away.
“Could I get one more good night kiss?” Gojou asked, eyes wide, “To keep the nightmares away?”
It was odd to see Gojou so vulnerable and Getou knew he was one of the only ones to see him like this. Of course he leaned forward again to kiss his one and only before manhandling him down onto the bed. Getou wrapped Gojou’s arms around him so that he was the little spoon. Gojou nuzzled into his neck dropping butterfly kisses on his skin.
“I love you.” Gojou mouthed into his skin.
Getou squeezed the hands hugging him tight, “Love you too.”
