It's a trick of the light, that Vaas looks almost sweet.
That's all it is.
The moon lends its softness, makes everything more than it is.
And the energy Vaas exudes fills the room like electricity.
His hands brush against Jason's in the half-dark and send little shocks up his arms.
His eyes flash with the promise of danger. Under the silver gaze of the moon, Jason only feels the excitement of soaring above the clouds and not knowing what lies beneath.
Vaas smiles, says his name.
Soft, almost sweet.
But it's a trick of the light and nothing more.
