   David nods and scribbles his order on the cup. After a moment, the Sharpie pauses in his grip and one of his dark eyebrows raises. “What’s your name?”

   “My name?” Patrick asks, pointing at himself. Why is the cute barista asking him for his name?

   The corner of David’s — the barista’s — mouth tucks into the side of his mouth, a half-smile that makes his eyes crinkle at the corners, that would take Patrick’s breath away if he let his gaze linger there. “Yeah. For your order.”
