Summary
For a moment he sees nothing amidst the other cars, and he starts to convince himself he's just being paranoid; and then something moves in the long shadows the shitty streetlights cast. He holds his breath despite himself at the reflective flash of eyes he catches, and then an over-large dog slinks out not far behind his car. It stops, in the dim light and misty rain, ears turned forwards and holds itself with an unnatural stillness, long, thin muzzle and even longer legs.
