New Year, New Memories

Summary:

Sequel to : You Deserve Love, Peter Parker!

Otto and the spidey bros spend the New Years with each other. While Peter 1 & 3 are enjoying the company and sights, Peter 2 is unknowingly struggling with adjusting to his adjusted future. Will New Years weekend be remembered as a fail or a beautiful memory?

Dad Ock and baby spider bros to da rescue !!

Notes:

Heck yeah, I finally got this going!! Woo woo!

While this still will have many cute brotherly bonds between the 3 Peter’s, it will focus on Peter 2’s mental health and Otto’s relationship he grew with the grown man. Their relationship might still be in the awkward relationship because this Older Peter 2 didn’t grow up with Otto and doesn’t have any memories of it while Otto does. So yes, I’m taking advantage of Peter 2 feeling embarrassed/ shock when Otto does parental gestures of any sorts. The two youngest Peter’s are just simply in awe and get some love from papa/ grandpa ock :))❤️

Hope you enjoy! This chapter was hard for me because I didn’t know at first were to start, but I got something! Hope you enjoy the bro bro moments and papa ock like promised :3

And Plus, New Years Celebration has started :D

Another Note just to clarify: Peter 2 is 40 :))

Chapter Text

"Woah sir, your house is so cool!"

"Is that merely because of the pool I have in the back?"

"No, why would that be the only indicator?" Andrew Peter whistled as he backed up the littlest Peter. "Maybe I like your guys’ houses better in this universe than mine.”

Otto gave out a hearty laugh at the dear boy’s remark. Giving a little house tour to the three Peter’s, after setting up little get together was more entertaining than he imagined. Not only did he want to get to spend time more with the Peters, he thought it would be best to spend New Years weekend with someone who’s always he’s considered family.

Ever since he’s returned back to his universe and correct year, Otto made sure that he corrected his mistakes and made his almost resurrection worth something, worth all the trouble tiny Peter has gone through to turn his life around.

God bless, Peter. All Peters, actually.

He of course, owned up for his crimes, bailed out by Norman with much needed therapy/ physical therapy, promising the public and his remaining family and colleagues he would do everything in his power to still make the world a better place.

“I need to remember to keep you boys away from the lab, Harry Larry and Flo didn’t appreciate the extra weight of carrying you troublesome spiders.” Said names of the actuators whirred in delight despite Ottos claims.

“We so need to go back there, my inner scientist needs it,” Otto heard Peter 3 mumble to both of the other Peter’s, all 3 of them nodding in agreement until they saw Otto looking at them with a raised brow.

“Uhhh….”

“We are so not planning to sneak in there late on, Doc.”

His Peter, just waved sheepishly.

Otto merely fought the urge to look mad when he let out a warm chuckle, fondly looking at all of the Parkers. They all looked so adorably guilty, it looked like a trio of troublesome kittens.

“Hm, well boys, remember that you’re guests here so you’re always welcome to the fridge, any utilities needed and you already know your stuff is in the guests room.” Otto had his arms take in the supply of food that the Peter’s brought in earlier to the kitchen where it was going to be prepared.

"Feel free to look around if you wish so. Make yourselves at home! My dear boy, can you help me in the kitchen?”

Otto chuckled at the bashful expression Peter 2 gave, once the living room was clear, Peter 1 & 3 looked at each other with a knowing grin.

“I’m getting dad vibes-

“Same! Phew, thought I was the only one who thought that.” Andrew sighed in relief, thinking he read the lines way too deep. “Anyways, Petey. Doc never gave us a full tour of this quite majestic living room. Shall we?”

And as so, the youngest Peter’s resumed their own mini tour around the house. It wasn’t a mansion by any means, but a really good house that they wouldn’t mind staying at rather than their crusty apartment.

It had a few antiques here and there, but what could you expect from almost a now grandpa doc ock?

Well okay, he wasn’t a grandpa, he actually looked really good for his age. He really rocked the gray streaked hair look!

What caught their eyes were a few big book shelves tucked neatly in the middle of the room. Upon closer inspection, there were many books, poetry, English literature( who knew Doc was a fan of English literature) and array of framed pictures.

Peter picked one up of a young Otto with a beautiful girl with golden brown hair. Her and Otto were standing in front of a library, laughing as the books they we’re carrying were toppling over.

“Wow, everything looks so retro.” Andrew commented as he looked at the picture as well.

There were more pictures of the girl and Otto, whether it was a them dancing out in the streets, in front of a burger joint, or what appeared to be a cheap apartment with science equipment in it.

Dressed in wedding attire-

“Beautiful woman, wasn’t she?”

Peter and Andrew looked up to see Otto approach closer, his arms whirling a little, their claws closing slowly. Otto reached out on the picture Peter was holding and pointed to the mystery woman to the boys with a trembling finger.

“She was my wife, Rosie. We met on the college footsteps, she was into literature, as, you can see by the all the books of T.S Elliot,” Otto grabbed one of them and looked it at fondly, handing it to Andrew Peter. “While I of course, science. She couldn’t understand it while I couldn’t understand her wonderful appreciation of writing, but we managed.”

Peter and Peter 3 simply looked at Otto with big brown eyes, already feeling like they know where this story was going.

“Sometimes, boys, you get a little too invested in your work and you outright forget what made that work so important.” Otto gently pointed a finger at Andrew Peter, his voice a little gruff. “Never, never forget why being human is important. You make mistakes, you lose the people you love when your not careful. I…wasn’t careful.”

The Peters didn’t any more context clues to know that Rosie must have died a horrific way. That Otto wasn’t nearly just sprouting grandpa  advice for love, but for experience.

The older scientist wiped his eyes as his arms whirred sadly, looking guilty they noticed.

“Now now, shhh.” Otto comforted his arms, they perked in response. “I’m sorry boys, I didn’t mean to bring the mood down.”

The youngest Peter, approached him with sudden outstretched arms. His brown doe eyes were big and endearing.

“Can…can I hug you sir?”

Otto nodded with slight quivering lips before embracing the young boy in his arms, before feeling another set of familiar but unfamiliar arms around him. The hug felt comforting and supportive. Usually, the man never dwelled onto his missing a for his wife, but photo albums can stir up fresh grief.

Andrew kept rubbing the docs arms, and even started petting the little actuators.

Otto reddened at his reaction. “Oh, I don’t even know what came over me. Maybe before dinner wasn’t the right time to-

“No, no.” Peter mumbled into Ottos sweater that smelled like clean cotton and slight hints of metal. “Thank you for telling us about Mrs. Rosie. I’m sorry about your loss.”

”Y-yeah, Doc. I’m sorry too. She sounded lovely. I would have loved to meet her.” Andrews fluffy hair kept tickling the docs nose since the boy kept figeting, Otto deciding to pull them in into a bigger bear hug…octopus hug?

Anyways, main story. Big hug.

Peter Parker, for the boy(s)who’s always been so compassionate and kind.

“She would have adopted all 3 of you on the spot,” Otto shook his head laughing as he set the photo down as well. Andrew watched as Otto delicately start dusting the delicate frames on all the bookshelves. Flo was helping dust one part of the shelf, until the duster swiped a picture too hard and headed to the ground.

THWIP!

”Careful there lil lady ,” Andrew took the webbing off of the framed photo before gasping, eyes widening as he examined the photo.

”What? What is it?” Peter asked as he tried to evaluate his brothers stunned expression.

“No freakin way!”

”What?!” Peter asked again, looking at Otto with a worried expression as Otto peered to the photo, a large smile gathering his features which confused the boy.

“WHAT??!” Peter tried to look but Andrew playfully pushed him away.

Andrew looked at Otto who was only looking at the picture very fondly, “Otto, please tell me this is who I think it is.”

Ottos grin widened.

“Hey! Let me see!” Peter jumped onto the ceiling and peered from up there.

“No way…”

“It can’t be…”

”Oh, but you are both correct.” Otto gently grabbed the picture and gestured to the boys to the couch, all of them sitting  they examined the old picture. The picture had a younger Otto with a college aged Peter 2 in a graduation gown!

Ottos arms held lots of medals, awards, and even 2 sashes sat on Ottos neck when Peter was wearing about 3 himself! The picture was a bit blurry- but the genuine happiness the two had was clear as day.

“This was him after he received his bachelors in Science and a minor in Photography. Plenty of academic awards whilist keeping the world safe. I was- and so proud of him.” Otto looked back at the kitchen where Peter 2 was absentmindedly preparing dinner- not aware of the current conversation.

“Doc, you are lying. This has to be photoshop.”

“Im afraid there was no shops or photos in the production of this very, authentic photo dear boy.”

Peter inspected Peter 2’s younger self shown in the photo. His eyes still hold grief, but they were brighter, a little more optimistic…

“He was about a few years older than you, little Peter. I would say around, 24?

“Wow, that is close to my age! And not to mention he kinda looks like me!” Peter cheered, smiling widely as Otto and Andrew laughed. “What, just without the blue eyes and the combover and I could look like him!”

Otto snorted, a brilliant idea popping into his mind.

“Well, these aren’t the only pictures in my possession…I may have one that may show major resemblance to you and older Peter.”

The excited shaking of heads was the only answer he needed.

***

“HAHA WHAT??!?! AND I THOUGHT MY EMO PHASE WAS BAD! LOOK AT HIS BANGS!!”

The smell of warm food filled the air as it’s been a solid half an hour since the photo-album tour started. Otto and the two Peter’s were having a blast as they specifically went through the one that was named, “Peter Parker” and many others.

Peter smiled, never regretting his decision of healing the villians. (Even if Otto was really never one since he was controlled) If they didn’t heal them, Otto wouldn’t have had this second chance in life and have this level of closeness he’s clearly obtained with his older counterpart.

Along with that, there was many other photo albums that contained different people. Peter was sure he saw almost all Ottos colleges from  school, his family and lots of others that contained himself and his dear ex wife Rosie. Despite the losses Peter went through, Peter was happy that he gave a dying man his life back.

As Peter kept looking through other photo albums,  his eyes automatically drew his attention to one section of the photos displayed.

Baby pictures.

The baby had a bowl cut, brown to almost blonde hair. Eyes were ocean blue, and this baby had the cutest smile he’s ever seen.

However, Peter’s breath hitched. There was only baby pictures and nothing else. No toddler or young kid

Oh no, what if Otto had a baby too with Rosie and…and…

“Sir?”

“Oh Peter, formalities aren’t required. What’s-

Peter waited for a saddened expression or maybe even a grieved one, instead, he received a wide grin and a stifled chuckle.

“Who’s umm- baby is this?” He’s pretty sure they weren’t Ottos baby pictures. “Is it one of your family members?”

Otto chuckled as he sat down on the floor, fondly looking at the set of photos.

“You don’t recognize your eldest brother?”

“WHAT?’!”

Andrew pounced over from the couch to take a look; an array of photos nearly melting both Peter’s.

The pictures consisted of a 2 year old Pete, diaper clad and on a high chair eating spaghetti messily. The blue eyes were beaming of so much light, innocence and no burden, the Peter’s held a gasp from the sudden revelations.

And there was so many of them- Peter sleeping in a crib to Peter walking for the first time, Peter playing with a little science kit and even Peter in a bathtub.

It was..so domestic.

”Hey guys! Sorry I took kind of long- I guess I got May’s meatloaf cooking skills-

a sound of pot or pan dripping grabbed the attention and directed it to a bamboozled Peter 2. His eyes were wide and his position was stiff. He raised a oven mitt gloved finger and pointed towards them.

"Why- why is that here?" Tobey Peter croaked, walking forward to see the photos that shouldn’t be out here- "Where did you guys get that?"

"You gave it to me while back Peter." Otto responded nonchalantly, patting the two younger Peter’s shoulders. “I think it’s only right to show your little brothers.”

Pete almost choked. "I- gave it to you?!”

“Who cares?! Look how cute you were!!” Andrew stood to tower a bit over Peter 2 and lightly pinched his now reddened cheeks. “Not that you are not cute now, it’s just- awww.”

“Yeah!! What Peter 3 said!!”

"Thanks? I guess..." Peter hid his face with his hands. This could not be happening right now. “Otto!” He whined.

"Can I not have pictures of my dearest boy around my house?" Otto shook his head fondly as he stood up with the help of his actuators. Otto placed a small kiss on Peter 2’s now creased forehead, ruffling his hair.

"You're growing up past this old man! I have to keep memorabilia somewhere."

Andrew and Peter just stood there, smiling at the very domestic exchange with a little smirk.

“Hmm, you know what? I think we should take advantage at the fact that there’s a lot of snow.” His actuators picked up Andrew and Peter by nape of their shirts and led them to a big closet in the living room, where lots of weather supplies and snow jackets were in.

“How about while Peter and I finish setting up dinner, you boys go play. We will go meet you as soon as we are done. We can have some hot cocoa later as a little treat.”

Andrew and Peter beamed like little kids and stuffed themselves in the closet, ruffling and searching for snow clothing that fit them. As soon as they were ready, all scarfed up and cozy (No Peters, your suits doesn’t count as snow wear) They bursted outside and began to play, their laughter was faint as Otto closed the door.

“Sit, my boy. I think it’s time we have a little chat of the elephant in the room.” He said kindly, patting the cushion next to him as Peter 2 finally slumped down, hurt puppy eyes looking directly at Otto.

“I bet May gave it to you, right?” Peter said in a small voice, propping his knees up to rest his head. “I don’t remember any of that. I’m sorry- I- I barely remember anything..”

“Like I said earlier dear boy, it will come back eventually as you continue to do things and explore the new changes in this timeline.”

“But Doc, I’ve been here for a month. I’ve only had one or two memories and that’s it.” Peter looked up to look at Otto, sad tired eyes that Otto wasn’t so used to since this was Peter who didn’t have anyone to rely on, but the same Peter.

Otto watched as Peter began to tap his knee with his right hand with a bit of speed- Otto already knowing that Peter was going to start panicking.

Otto gently scooted over on the couch and softly cupped Peter 2’s face, rubbing the sides of his tired cheeks and moving his hair out of his face. Peter’s face twitched from touch that he wasn’t used to and quivered.

Otto sighed softly in sympathy. He brought the sad spider’s head into his chest, now cupping the back of his head with one large handwhile he rubbed soothing circles on the younger man’s back. The actuators just stood protectively over the two and kept somewhat watch to the boys outside.

“I feel like I’ve lived two different lives Doc, I feel like I’m disappointing MJ and Harry because that wasn’t me they spent their lives with.” He muffled into doc’s coat. “I’m not even used to Harry being here or Mr.Osborn. It’s scary- sometimes I’ll flashback and wonder if it happened or not.”

“I’m just- so tired. My nerves go crazy so much and- I’m not used to knowing everything I’ve done. What if my memories never come back? I don’t- I don’t even know what to do if I-

“Peter, I promise you they will.”

Peter gripped pulled himself in tighter- feeling his throat go thick at another revelation. This seems so familiar yet…alien.

“I’m scared. I’m sorry I don’t trust your prediction yet.”

“It’s quite alright.” Otto, already knowing why since Peter wasn’t used to having Otto around, only answered by planting a small kiss on his head and rubbing his back a bit more. He planted his head onto Peter 2’s as Peter shakily held on, Ottos heart breaking as he noticed Peter kept looking outside where his brothers were. Peter stayed tense as kept watch to make sure no one saw him like this.

“Want to go outside? Maybe we can jog a memory or two there, Peter. You were always the best snowman builder that somwhow you managed to keep cool when the snow melted.”

Peter perked up, looking up at Otto with big blue doe eyes.

“Really?” He asked in shock.

”Would you believe me if I said that you and I teamed up against the Osborns and beat them in a snowball duel?”

The memory weirdly made Peter feel fond and hysterical at the same time.

“I trust you on that, Doc. Many say my aim was impeccable in my early years.” Peter felt himself lift as Otto stood up, running a comforting hand on Peter’s shoulder.

“Hmm. Then I think we should show your little brothers what we are capable of.” Otto couldn’t fight the smile when his Peter smiled giddily and raced towards the closet of snow supplies as well.
