Chapter Text
"The Parkers? Peter Parker for Peter Parker?” The doctor scoffed under her breath. “Wow, and I thought I was not creative when naming my kids…”
"Hey, hey, how is he Dr. Gomez?” Tobey immediately stood up with little Peter trailing him, following the nurse who was leading them to the room they’ve been anticipating for..anxiously.
To make things simple, Peter 3 needed his wisdom teeth removed. He fully grown them at age 25, and never got the chance to remove them. It’s always been , Spider-Man that, helping Aunt May pay the bills. No time for Peter Parker stuff.
Even if that included his health.
But now, at age 29, it’s really been bothering him to the point where he couldnt even eat mash potatoes, the movement of his teeth/ gums rubbing against the food nearly sent him into biting his tongue till it bled.
Of course, he was gonna tough it out until it got to the point where he would yank them off themselves, until a certain older self figured it out.
“Peter, really? 4 years?”
”What? I could go more if I want to! They’re really not bothering me…I probably just have cavities. Yeah.”
His two counterparts just raised their brows, little Peter pushing over a plate of donuts they were having as a treat after they finished eating in Peter 2’s apartment.
“What? Is this a challenge? It’s just a donut.” Andrew Peter took a bite of the chocolatey goodness, and as soon as the gluten hit his gums and clashing wisdom teeth he nearly cursed and choked.
“I’ll make an appointment in your universe, you need to get those chompers out of you bud.” Peter 2 was already jotting down some notes about Andrews condition.
”Peter 2, but-
“I got my wisdom teeth out and everything was okay!” Little Peter chimed, grabbing the donut that Andrew dropped on the table and ate it.
“Really? Nothing…weird happened?”
“No! Well…” Little Peter tapped his chin as he remembered his procedure that happened a couple years ago. “Happy said that I went really crazy after I got the anesthesia, oh, I remember he told me that I accidentally dropped a puddle of blood on his carpet and I began to cry..so much.”
Andrew Peter frowned.
“Then he said that I crawled all over his apartment until Ned had to nudge me down with a broom. It was so embarrassing, Michelle caught it on video! She probably erased it though-
Peter 3 simply groaned and banged his head on the table, missing the quiet snort coming from Peter 2.
So here they were now, anxious to see how their brother was holding up.
"Procedure went great! However, his stomach didn’t take the anesthesia well at first, poor thing. He’s alright now, but just letting you know in case there’s a problem in the next week or so while he’s in bed rest. Clarissa, the nurse who’s with him, will sort out the details.”
Before Dr. Gomez opened the door, she put a quiet finger to her lips. “Also, what I’m assuming is correlating together, he needed extra doses of anesthesia because the regular dose wasn’t enough. So, he might be a little loopier than usual, okay?”
Peter 1 & 2 visibly gulped.
The doctor softened her gaze. “I wouldnt worry, the way he was talking about you two, I’m sure you guys will have it under control. You guys will be okay, I’ll go over some stuff to look out for and he should be back to his normal self in no time, okay?”
It wasn’t that Tobey and Peter doubted themselves…okay they were slightly. But, they knew how uncomfortable Andrew was gonna feel under anesthesia and how someone was gonna take care of him. It broke their hearts to hear him ramble on how he would be handful and that he can take care of himself because he’s been doing it for years.
So, maybe they were a bit scared of seeing Andrews vulnerable side and a bit scared on how well they would be to take care of him.
But, despite their crippling fears of screwing up, they were gonna take care of their brother no matter what. Belong alone while your hurting, and let alone needing to be taken care of sucks. They weren’t gonna let Peter 3 go through this alone despite his protests.
Even if he was gonna embarrass himself with the anesthetic, the brothers don’t mind.
“Lead the way, Doc.” Tobey Peter gently put a hand on little Peter’s shoulder and gave it a small squeeze. Everything’s okay.
The doctor opened the door slowly, revealing a regular room you’d find in your local doctor office. The walls were dimly a baby blue with a few nice paintings and guest chairs.
Upon the surgical chair, laid Peter 3.
His tousled brown hair moved around as he shifted his head around, the Peter’s noticing that Andrew Peter’s eyelids were blinking heavily and non- energetic, which was quite alien to see since he was the one who bounced around alot the most.
They also noticed his very swollen cheeks, accompanied by cotton stuffed to the brim in his mouth, painfully pointing out what a baby face he has, even as an adult. As Peter 3 yawned, the brothers watched fondly as he tried to sit himself up.
“Woahhhh, Petey and Peter! Hiii.” Andrew giggled drowsily as his head softly slacking back to the pillow and turning to the nurse, who the brothers assumed was Clarissa, sat next to him as she was checking over him. “They’re my brothers.” He whispered loudly.
Clarissa patted his hand as she giggled. “Oh are they? You guys look so much alike! Nice to meet you both!”
Tobey and Peter chuckled nervously. “Yeah…we get that a lot, actually. And thank you!” Tobey went up to shake her hand as well as Peter. “But he’s okay now, right?”
“Your brother did so well during the procedure, practically an angel.”
Dr. Gomez brought over her clip board and started examining Andrews mouth. “Are you having any tummy problems sweetheart?
Andrew blinked sleepily as he closed his mouth and shook his head slowly, like a toddler trying to comprehend something. “Nah, my tummy isss fine. But my mouth feels funny. Like…like…I’m…it feels funny. I feel funny.”
“Don’t worry Pete, that’s normal. That feeling will go away soon. That’s what happened with me.” Little Peter grabbed a chair and moved it closer to his older brother. “It’s gonna be okay.”
Tobey didn’t miss the way Dr. Gomez and Clarissa cooed at the sight and smiled fondly. Gomez gestured Clarissa to grab her clipboard and followed her to the door. “Yes, like your brother said, that’s common sweetheart. It’s alright.”
“M’ okay?”
“Yeah, you are,” Clarissa smiled sadly. “Alright, let’s step outside and talk about what needs to be done post procedure…”
Peter 3 immediately frowned and made grabby hands towards Tobey, everything seemingly still fuzzy and wondering why his brother was going away. Little Peter quickly caught this and put his small hand around Andrew’s larger one.
“Hey dude, why don’t you tell me how removing your teeth went? Peter’s just gonna talk to Dr. Gomez and Clarissa, he’ll be back.”
At Andrews excited nod and blubbering, Tobey sent a grateful smile as he headed out the door with the doctor and nurse.
“- Then…I woke up!”
“Woah.”
Andrew shook Peter’s hand excitedly as his other hand dug messily into his sweater pockets. “Petey. I have a supwise!”
Peter couldn’t hold back a giggle at the way Peter 3 spoke, he knew it was the cotton stuffed in his mouth but, it was still hilarious hearing him speak. “Oh? And what might that be? An alien?” He asked feeling playful.
“Noooooo, guess again.”
”Uhh…A dinosaur?”
”Noooo! Tha’ can’t fit in my pocket!” Andrew was laughing hysterically, swaying around with Peter’s hand on the bed. “You’re funnyyy. But no no no. Better.”
Andrew immediately handed over 4 cracked colored rocks to little Peter, Peter making a surprised sound.
“Ooh, I didn’t know you had a rock collection!”
Andrew shook his head slowly. “No, Petey. I don’t have a rock collection.”
”Uh okay, so what is it?”
“Those are my teef.”
Peter stiffened. “Your wisdom teeth? These are the ones they took out of your mouth?!” He tried not to grimace at the patches of blood that leaked a bit on his hands.
“Duhhh, wha’ else?” Andrew narrowed his eyes, watching Peter’s expressions as he examined his teeth. “They’re so cool, huh? I have cool wisdom teef?”
“Oh yeah, totally.” Peter lifted the teeth, trying not to feel grossed out that literal broken chards in the palm of his hands. “They have cool colors and have blood. Totally cool in my book, man.”
Clarissa and Tobey opened the door and walked back inside the room, Tobey now carrying a long list, a few packages, and a few other items Peter couldnt properly see.
“Alright, I think we got everything we need. Oh what’s in your hand Petey?”
“My teef! He has my teef! ” Andrew giggled. “Petey says they are awesome.” The grimace Peter had made the adults chuckle.
Tobey bent down as Andrew looked expectingly at him, practically bouncing. “They’re awesome right?”
Tobey smiled fondly as he put a hand onto Andrew Peter’s head, ruffling his fluffy hair. “Oh yeah, those are some pretty impressive chompers. Why don’t we put one in a small baggie to take home so we can have it for memories?” Clarissa agreed to the idea and looked for a small bag.
“Thank you Clarissaaaa,” Andrew turned his head to find Clarissa waving back, the smile on Andrews face dropped as soon as a puddle of blood and spit drooled from his mouth and onto the front of his red hoodie. Andrew just simply gaped.
Peters eyes simply widened as he watched Tobey grabbed a stack of tissues from his own pocket, gently cleaning up the hoodie and wiping Andrews face. “I’m assuming there will be more tissues involved with this.” He quipped.
Clarissa let out a laugh. “Yeah, apart from what I mentioned earlier from the flushing procedure and the medication, he’ll experience a lot of bleeding because of the extraction. His gauze will help with containing most of it.”
“Alright, I’ll take note. Thank you so much for everything, Clarissa.” Tobey said with a nervous smile, looking back at his little selves. ” We would be completely lost.”
“It’s sweet seeing how much you guys care for each other. You’re a sweet big brother and you’re a sweet little one.” Clarissa booped little Peter’s nose, causing him to scrunch it. “Of course, if guys have any questions, feel free to call back!”
Tobey and Peter waved goodbye her as they exited the surgeon place, helping Andrew walk, all propping him on their shoulders as they continued their journey through the parking lot.
“Wait! I can help you to your car!”
“Nah, that’s okay! We got this! Thank you so much Mrs. Clarissa!
Peter 1 waved goodbye, the nurse smiling fondly as the brothers waddled away.
