This is a work of fiction from a fan. I'm not taking credit for any Legacies, The Originals, or The Vampire Diaries ideas. Julia Plec has my respect for this amazing world she put together.
But as all things go... I thought I'd like to spin off from what the show dictates and show what I personally think should have happened. It's honestly just for fun (not trying to step on anyone's toes here)

1. Why is the son of Klaus named Cameron?
○ Easy, because he's named after Camille O'Connell. But how, you ask, she died after he was born? Simply, I imagined after losing such an important person Klaus would deem to rename his firstborn son after her...in her honor :')
(Klaus and Caroline for the win tho)
2. What about Hope being an only child and the plot centering around that?
○ Another good question. A lot of the plot can be worked around. Hayley had two in her womb instead of one. And when Cameron was born everything that happened to Hope either also happened to him or he was an innocent bystander. ie. When Hope got possessed by the hollow he wasn't but he was there for it. Also, any power grabs throughout the show obviously could have happened to him as well because he's just as potent and powerful as his sister and honestly anything that doesn't make sense is behind me...my story starts from season 5x1 and onwards
3. Why does Cameron exist?
○ I was waiting for this one. You see...I think Klaus should have had a son. Not saying Hope sucks and I'm against feminism or anything. Just...it seemed like it fit more because of his father (Mikeal) and the younger brother that he adored but lost, Henrik. Anyway, I understand Hope is pretty influential to the show and I wanted to keep her because a lot of cool shit could have happened to her and helped her becomes the badass that she just isn't in Legacies (my personal opinion, no hate). I think having a brother will allow for some back and forth development, between choosing to honor the bloodthirsty Mikealson Legacy or changing it. Especially when it comes to having a family because everyone expects the female to want to have kids smh
4. How much of this will be like the show?
○ As I've stated before, this fanfic starts from seasons 5 of the originals and I'm mostly working from the end of the Originals to establish a place for Cameron and a few select characters to fit in to the storyline. However gradually it will branch off in my idea of how I would have liked Legacies to be like.
5. How will the POV system work?
○ As I introduce more characters there will be more POVS but since it is Hope and Cameron's story they will be the main focus like 75% of the time.
6. Will some of the OG characters show up? ○ The biggest YES! I think Legacies lacked introducing old characters to the show (not that I don't still watch it to fill the void of TVD) and I want to make a place for them here in my fanfic. I'd honestly love to see how the other Mikaelson's react to adult hope or how Elena and Damon are dealing as humans with Alaric's school just around the corner. Does Matt Donovan have kids?? What is Jeremey doing?? Obviously it's not about them anymore but a check-in would be nice I think lol

○ Any opinions for what you'd like to see in my fic are welcome~ We all have our imagines for ships, characters that could have been, and unnecessary/necessary plotlines. We can't make it canon but we can fanfic our little hearts out. I'll do my best
