Allies are a difficult thing, while they may support you on your mission it does not mean they are friends. True friends will stick with you and be there to support you, allies may break apart due to personal motives. Marinette needed friends more than anything but she could settle for allies. She just needed someone to be in her corner.
Luka was a solid choice for both. He stuck by her side ever since meeting her. It was nice having someone be her support instead being the support for others. He just understood her so much better than basically anyone. So, Marinette had one person in her corner but for what needed to be done that wouldn’t be enough.
The next person she had in mind would not be entirely innocent. She knew it would be cruel and he would have his own personal motives but what choice did she really have? Felix is a cold person with a vendetta and yet that’s what she needed. She needed someone who wouldn’t mind being cold and would be up for the task of taking them down by any means. Someone who would remind her of what they’ve done and not allow her to become soft if they ever got the chance of getting through to her.
Both of these options are those that can really help Marinette. Luka could help keep her grounded and Felix can help her rise.
As nice as that is she would need someone who was wronged as well. Kagami was wronged by Adrien as well.
He lied to her as well. Worked that silver tongue of his and strung her along. Marinette honestly thought they would have gotten along quite well it it wasn’t for Adrien being in the way of things.
Now it was a matter of getting them to join her crusade. For Luka it would be a matter of keeping his sister spared for the most part. Felix it would be letting him loose to feast on them. And for Kagami it would be letting her gain what she had lost.
Marinette knew what to do and it was time for her to act. When the dust settles Paris won’t know what had hit them. Adrien won’t know what had hit him.
