WELCOME LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... to the brand new reality dating show, the love experiment! Be sure to tune in every week to feel your hearts flutter as 4 pairings undergo a series of challenges and competitions. The winning pair will get free luxury vacation in a location of their choice, as well as an additional cash prize! They will have the opportunity to be featured in our second season, where we conduct additional 'tests' to see if they are truly a match, or not!
forward: in which hosts shin yuna and huening kai create a reality dating show staring 8 contestants in their early twenties. love experts have selected 4 diverse pairings and will put the laws of attraction to the test as the couples try out challenges and activities; all, to see if they will fall in love at the end. audience voting is crucial, as it is one of the determining factors of who will ultimately win the competition!
without further ado! let's meet our contestants...
PAIRING ONE: THE CELEBRITY EX-ES former co-actors, classmates, and lovers, choi lia and choi soobin

dazzling actress, and korea's it-girl, choi lia has been in the acting industry for 7 years! daughter of korea's favorite ballad singer, choi jayoon, she made her first TV appearance when she was only 9-years-old, on choi jayoon's variety show. she's most famous for her 2019 drama "what he doesn't know" with co-star choi soobin, and her iconic line in choi jayoon's 2012 variety show.

one of korea's hot rookie actors, choi soobin is gaining a lot of public attention for his impressive talent and potential, surprising versatility, charisma, and shining visuals. most recently, he's shocked fans with his amazing football skills in his sports drama, "football prince" this year, playing the college hearth-throb lee jaehyun, alongside rookie actress, kim bomi.

PAIRING TWO: OPPOSITES ATTRACT? opposites and strangers, choi yeonjun and hwang yeji

a fresh, young beauty, hwang yeji is currently in her 3rd year of undergraduate school, studying education in hopes of someday becoming a teacher. a small town girl raised by her grandmother, she works hard to pay for college on her own, and is working at cafe delight this summer.

CHOI YEONJUN | 22
choi yeonjun is the son of the ceo of the multi-million corporation choi corp. yeonjun has just finished undergraduate college studying finance, and has been interning since. he's a dedicated and ambitious young man; once he sets his mind to something, he always achieves it!

CHOI YEONJUN: Hi! Tt's me, Choi Yeonjun! I came on this show to take a little break from my intensive work, blow off a little steam. Who knows, maybe i'll win some extra cash while i'm at it?
PAIRING THREE: THE DANCERS dancers and music-lovers, shin ryujin and choi beomgyu
SHIN RYUJIN | 20
she may not be the oldest contestant, but she's surely the most competitive one! full of charisma and style, shin ryujin has been dancing since she could walk. she started off being a backup dancer for kpop groups, and then became involved in some of korea's most famous dance groups, choreographed kpop dances, and starred in variety shows.
cut to a clip of her being a dance mentor of a kpop survival show. ryujin critiques a team, as they make a lot of mistakes.
SHIN RYUJIN: (sternly) Why are you smiling?... Is there something funny on my face? Huh?
CHOI BEOMGYU | 20
one of korea's most beloved maknaes out of any kpop group, choi beomgyu debuted as a member of the kpop group, moonstone, in 2015 as the main dancer, visual, and maknae. he may be young, but he is certainly among the list of kpop's best dancers. throughout his celebrity life, he'd always been a mood-maker and fresh source of energy.
cut to his dance break in moonstone's newest song: "can you feel by heart"
cut to a clip of moonstone's members, giving words of encouragement to choi beomgyu: first, individually, then all together.

PAIRING FOUR: THE COLLEGE CLASSMATES swimming prodigy and skilled journalist, lee chaeryeong and kang taehyun
LEE CHAERYEONG | 20
lee chaeryeong is on the road to becoming a professional swimmer. her excellent work ethic, technique, and passion makes her the goddess of swimming at her university. in addition to being a skilled athlete, she has the visuals of a princess, and has a strong affinity for kindness and community — making her a role model for many young swimmers.
cut to chaeryeong winning first place for breaststroke at her most recent competition, a wide smile plastered on her face, as kang taehyun snaps a picture of this moment.
HER MOTHER: (proudly) That's her! That's my daughter everyone!
KANG TAEHYUN | 19
he's a journalist and photographer at the same university as chaeryeong, and has had several interactions with the swim-team, while writing sports coverage for the school's newspaper. taehyun and chaeryeong had been friends before, attending the same high school and college. he's passionate about capturing stories and sharing them through writing and visuals.
cut to kang taehyun, working on his computer in the library.
KANG TAEHYUN: (coughing nervously) Haha. This is funny; usually i'm the one conducting the interviews... Well i'm kang taehyun. I'm excited to be here!

SHIN YUNA: I'm Shin Yuna! I may be only 17 years old, but I'm an expert on the science and laws of true love!
HUENING KAI: That's right, Yuna! Hi viewers, my name is Huening Kai — Yuna and I will make sure you have the best viewing experience possible.
YUNA: So... Kai. How did you think of the contestants? Which pairing is your favorite?
KAI: Not to seem biased or anything. I am a huge fan of 'Moonstone'
breaks into a song, and sings "can you feel my heart beating for you!" — a part of moonstone's song — doing the iconic heart gesture choreography
KAI: But the Beomgyu and Ryujin pairing has my heart!
YUNA: You are so right! Ryujin seems like an ultra competitive girl who appears cold on the outside. Meanwhile, Beomgyu is an overall cheerful boy who may be able to melt her cold surface. It's love science at it's finest! But, I have to say... Isn't there something so refreshing about the Chaeryeong and Taehyun pairing, though?
KAI: That's true! They're one of the two non-celebrity couples on this list. How cute is it that they've already been friends... I can already sense things will get interesting between the two of them... What about the other non-celebrity couple? I definitely have my eye on Yeonjun and Yeji!
YUNA: You read my mind! They both have very different career paths. He's extremely rich, while Yeji works tirelessly at the coffee shop to support her grandmother and pay for college. But let's not forget Choi Soobin and Choi Lia! Oh my god, their chemistry was unmatched in "What He Doesn't Know!" They even dated while filming the show, but then they broke up. Aren't you curious of what went down between them?
KAI: You bet I am! Also, did you know that they went to acting school together in Seoul? Talk about school sweathearts!
YUNA: Ahhh!!! This is too much for my heart! I can't bear the excitement...
