Chapter Text
Living in New York sucks, especially with superheroes running around all day.
You were hoping to just stop in, deposit your paycheck, and go pick up some dinner. But of course, something always gets in the way.
This time, the thing that got in the way was the car that was launched into the bank as you was talking to the attendant.
You put your hands up to shield your head from the flying glass, turning around after hearing the distinct clicking of your favorite supervillain as he collected money from the bank attendants.
You crouched down onto the broken tile floors, too distracted by watching as the villain's tall figure present himself inside the bank to notice the glass cuts all over your hands and arms. He was just so.. hot for some reason, and the way he presented himself left you awestruck.
You let out a soft cry as you was soon brought back to reality by the stinging of your newfound wounds. You clamped your hand over your mouth immediately, watching as his gaze snapped to you. He was hot, but he was still incredibly intimidating.
Doc Ock was held up by his bottom two actuators, while the top two whirred and chirpped into his ears. He had a conflicted look on his face as the articulars hovered the supervillain over you.
"I don't have much time before Spiderman gets here. Come with me."
Did Doc Ock really just ask you to come with him? Why would he care about simple civilians?
Before you could even come up with an answer, one of his top actuators wrapped around your waist, hauling you up to the doctor's level. And before you could process the feeling of cold metal wrapped around your body, you were launched upwards and carried across the rooftops behind your biggest idol. The wind was too loud to make conversation with him, so you decided to enjoy the city from above.
As quickly as you were picked up, you were set down and thrust into what looked like an abandoned warehouse.
"Sit. Let me patch up your arms." Doc Ock flicked on the warehouse lights with an actuator, using another to push you into a worn out couch. He was out of the room before you even had time to thank him.
When the lights flickered on, the warehouse looked much better from the inside. It was very neat and clean, except for the section that seemed to be his workspace. various tools and spare pieces of metal littered the ground around his desk.
The Doctor re-entered the room and brought you back to reality, watching his commanding presence draw near. He reached for one of my hands, his actuator gently pulling glass pieces from your soft skin.
"why..why did you save me? You're supposed to be a supervillain." you stared at him doe-eyed, frozen in place. "I may be a criminal, but I never really try to get civilians involved. The paramedics here suck anyways." He raised an eyebrow, looking at me over his goggles.
You felt a blush creep up your neck and flush onto your cheeks, forcing myself to look away. "Well, thank you, Doc Ock. I'm glad you saved me."
"You don't need to call me that, its such a rude name." The doctor huffed, bandaging up your arm.
"But that's your official name, according to the papers." You laughed softly, watching as the doctor tensed up.
He simply rolled his eyes."Those papers never get anything right! I get that I'm a villian, but come on, you know?Just call me Otto, alright dear?"
Listening to his first name and being called a petname right after just made your heart flutter with joy. You tried to swallow your nervousness, doing my best to keep your composure as you nodded. "Right. Well, thank you Otto. I really do appreciate it."
Otto looked over at me curiously as he moved to your other side, letting the actuators clean up your other arm. "You don't seem scared of me at all, are you sure you aren't wounded somewhere else?" He chucked softly, watching your reaction as he ran his hands through his hair.
"O-oh, no I'm totally fine! It's just that I've been kind of a fan of yours for awhile now. " You mumbled softly, distracted by his large hands tussling his hair around.
"Oh? A fan hmm? Didn't you just say i was a supervillain? I'm not a good influence." Otto smirked, watching as you blush and grasp at something to say. Before you can even find the words, he stands up once more.
"Now, would you like something to eat? It's around dinner time now." You nodded and weakly stood up, but a cold articulator pressed against your back before you could stumble over. The actuator wrapped around you once more, pushing you back onto the couch. Otto's back was turned, seemingly having a hushed argument with his metal friends. They moved around dramatically, snapping open and closed as they talked to him.
Cmon, let her stay! She obviously won't sell you out. She's pretty cute too if you ask me..
Otto shook his head and turned back around to face me, watching as the one actuator not arguing with him was cuddling you on his couch. You gave him an innocent smile and he sighed nervously.
"Well it doesn't look like you have enough energy to walk right now. Why don't you sleep some? Here, I'll let you sleep in my bed. Otto lifted you back up with the mechanical arms, carrying you away from his makeshift living room and into his bedroom.
"Are you sure though? I dont want to intrude on your life or anything." Honestly, You didn't really care about that, You were actually really excited to be there! You just didn't want to overstep, he was still pretty intimidating after all.
"Ah, dont even worry about it, dear. I may be a villian, but I can still be a gentleman when I need to." The doctor winked as the actuator placed you onto his surprisingly comfortable bed, the covers being pulled over you before you could protest too much.
It's almost like the bed was made to make you instantly sleepy, because you fell asleep almost as soon as you were placed down. You hadn't been treated this nicely for as long as you could remember, and the fact that it was your "celebrity" crush made it that much better. The last thing you heard was the man's footsteps get softer as he closed the door, leaving you be for now.
That night, your dreams were filled with Otto taking care of you over and over again. You decided you were going to do anything you could to convince him to let you stay with him a little longer.
