Work Text:

Ponk and Sam walked with the half Sheep(?) half-human down the wooden path into the ruins of the country that was destroyed not too long ago.

They didn't talk about much. Just a few things here and there but not enough to make a stable conversation.

"Oh, by the way, have you two seen my son? I haven't seen him in a little bit and was wondering if you two knew anything." Puffy said, stopping at Tommy's old house, leaning against the dirt wall.

"Your son?" Ponk asked, a little confused.

"Dream is in jail, Puffy. I thought you knew this." The warden spoke having just finished his shift at said jail only a little bit ago.

"Oh, not him. I know he's gone..." A silence fell over the three. Ponk and Sam averted their gaze to the floor, Puffy looked at her feet before huffing and looking back up at the two. They retreated their eyes back to her. Puffy cleared her throat and spoke again. "I mean my son, Foolish. Have you two not met him yet?"

Sam shook his head, "No, never heard of him."

"Me either," Ponk agreed.

Puffy went to say something before the attention of the three was brought to the sky. The once sunny blue sky and fluffy white clouds had turned a blueish black and the clouds gathered together. At the looks of it, it should have started to pour down rain and start thundering right then and there but neither happened.

"Well, speak of the devil. Here he comes now." Puffy said with a happy look on her face.

"Your son can control the weather?" Sam asked, concerned.

"Oh no, he can control thunder, he's half Totem of undying and half Shark. He's lives in the desert he named L'sandberg. " Puffy explained. "Also, he's an Ex-God!" She added on.

"Excuse me?!" Sam said with an even more concerned tone. "He sounds like a unique character." Ponk said, trying to ignore the fear of lightning coiling up inside him.

"I promise you guys, he's an amazing person! He isn't as scary as he sounds." Puffy calmed the twos nerves.

Small sets of footsteps came running towards the three of them. "Grandpa! Grandpa!" The two yelled coming closer.

The two ran up to Puffy, who had kneeled to scoop the two up as they ran into her arms. "Ah, how's my favorite grand kiddos been, huh?" She asked, standing up again and hugging the two.

Finley (Foolish's cannon Daughter) turned her head to see the two strangers standing a few feet away from them. "Woah!" She said looking at Sam. She's never seen someone who looked as cute as the half creeper warden.

She had golden skin and long dark hair, her eyes glowed a light green, she wore a light grey onesie that had a cut on the lower back that a small shark tail poked out of.

Foolish Jr.'s (Foolish's cannon son) eyes, on the other hand, landed on Ponk. His mouth was open in the shape of an o as he had never known anyone to have only one arm.

He had the same golden skin, green eyes, and the same onesie but instead of a shark tail he had a slit on the hod of his onesie that showed a small dorsal fin and he had small very light golden wings extending from his back.

"Sam, Ponk, these are my grandkids, Foolish Jr. And Finley." She motioned to the little ones in her arms. "They're Foolish's kids."

Finley wiggled her way down out of her grandfather's arms while Foolish Jr. Used his wings to push up and away from her.

They both ran to the person who caught their eye.

Sam bent down to the tiny girl who took the opportunity to grab both sides of his face, which caught him off guard. She put on the biggest small even while giggling. "Fluffy!!" She squealed, rubbing her tiny baby hands over the fur on his face. Sam chuckled a bit, "Mhmm! Very Fluffy!" He said smiling at the amused little girl.

Jr. Waddled right up to Ponk, tucking his wings behind himself. He reached out one hand, grabbing it towards Ponk's wrapped nub. "Can touch?" He asked, innocently. Ponk smiled under his mask. "Yeah, go for it, little man." Ponk bent down a bit for the little boy to reach. Jr. Gentle grabbed it with one of his tiny hands, not wanting to hurt him. After realizing this didn't cause the other pain he grabbed what was left of the other limb with both hands and his eyes lit up. He jumped up and down changing "Cool! Cool!". " yup! So, cool!" Ponk replied, smiling even more now.

They once again heard footsteps approaching but there was now only one pair and they were much heavier. The kids recognize them. They both looked at each other giggling and ran over to their granddad once again but this time they hid behind her.

Their tiny arms, obviously, sticking out from behind her legs but no one said anything.

"Father!" A, very tall, man walked over to the five of them. His smile turned into a look of confusion than a mischievous look. He smirked.

"Say, dad. Have you seen Jr. And Fin?" He crossed his arms, winking. "I just can't seem to find them anywhere!" He put his hands on his hips.

"Now that you mention it, I haven't!" Puffy repeated his tone of voice. "Hmmm," He slowly walked over to her, trying not to alert the kids that they had been found. "I wonder where they could... BE!" He jumped behind her and pulled the two of them up and close to himself, using his arms to tickle the two.

As the other four laughed and yelled. Both Sam and Ponk couldn't help but stare at the tall man. Most of his body was the same golden color as his kids but he had light and darker shades of it on his face added some details on his face, with was, to the two, extremely attractive. He had both a large shark tail and dorsal fin but no wings. His eyes glowed very brightly, a darker green than the other two's eyes. He wore a short poncho that had a hood, it was a blueish grey. The poncho was just short enough to show just the right amount of his arms and torso to tell he was very fit. He had a pair of dark blue swimming trunks on, showing his long legs.

Puffy caught their attention, bringing the lovers back to reality. "Sam, Ponk, this is my son, Foolish." She said picking the kids up again.

Foolish reached both of his arms out, one for either of them. "It's very nice to meet you two!" Foolish said, smiling widely at the two. "Uh, yeah, very nice to meet you too." Sam shook the taller hand.

"Mhmm, yeah," Ponk let out, still mesmerized by the other "nice to meetcha, foosh." He realized what he had said as soon as it left his mouth. "Foolish! Sorry," He quickly shook his hand before pulling it away and scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.

Foolish stood there for a second before laughing at the other's mistake "It's completely fine," Foolish paused "Pink." He added.

Sam snickered at this but before Ponk could say anything the Ex-God turned to his father. "Hey, dad, would you mind I left the kids with you for a bit? I have some work to do at L'sandberg and don't have time to watch them during the day."

"Of course, you can leave them with me anytime." She answered. The kids had fallen asleep in her arms.

"Well, it's getting late. I and Ponk should really be getting home. It was nice meeting you, Foolish." Sam told. "Mhmm, nice meeting you, foosh!" Ponk added, the two started walking away.

"Nice meeting you too, Sam and Pink!" Foolish yelled out to the two as they walked away.

Sam and Ponk lay on their shared bed, both on their backs staring at the ceiling.

"So," Sam broke the silence "I'm guessing you felt it too?" Ponk shook his head yes, "yup."

"We're both," Ponk started.

"In love with him." Sam finished.

Ponk turned over onto his side, facing Sam. "That's insane though, right? We just met him and know nothing about him."

Sam sighed and turned his head to Ponk "You really think I've ever been one to believe in love at first sight?"

"No, I just," Ponk fell back onto the bed. "I don't know." He sighed.

Sam laid back with him and wrapped his arms around him. "I don't either, lets just give it some time, ok?" Sam kissed the top of Ponks head.

Ponk shook his head, agreeing and they fell asleep together. Both thinking about the guy they had met earlier that day.
