Work Text:

Chaoscribe was a simple soul really. All he aspired to do was make the person he was in love with happy. That didn't change with Inverter. He felt awful when Nathaniel's sketchbook ended up falling into the fountain. Chaoscribe knew how horrible it felt to have all your work be trashed without any ability to salvage it. Bullies were dreadful and the last thing he wanted was to become the very thing he despised.

Nathaniel got akumatized into Inverter from the incident, and luckily agreed to forgive him after he was saved by the heroes. Their relationship blossomed and he ended up falling in love with the artist, but he was too scared to say anything as Marc. But now, as Chaoscribe, he could finally reveal his true feelings.

A person had been akumatized that day, going around turning people back into their villainous forms. Or at least, that's how the news saw it. Chaoscribe was very offended by that interpretation. There was nothing wrong with him trying to romance his crushes! He never hurt them!

Last time, he didn't actually get Adrien to fall in love with him, but now Inverter was right there, hiding in an alley! This was Chaoscribe's opportunity to properly charm the boy he loved! He made flowers and their petals float down from the sky, surrounding Inverter with objects that matched his beauty. The atmosphere was changed to one brimming with romance with a simple sentence scribbled on his tablet.

Inverter jumped from the sudden appearance of the items, before gently holding out a hand to let one flutter softly into his hand. He leaned back against the wall, smiling at the pretty blossom. Chaoscribe walked around the corner with a proud smile. "Do you like it?"

Inverter stumbled back in shock, glider instantly flying between the two like a barrier. He took a moment to comprehend who it was, before glaring and dropping the flower from his hand, "Oh. It's you."

Chaoscribe withered underneath Inverter's standoffish stare. Since Inverter was formed off feelings of distaste for Marc, it made sense why he acted like this, but it still hurt. "You looked like you were enjoying the flowers."

Inverter blushed, crossing his arms and looking away from him, "It wasn't because I knew it was from you. Flowers are just pretty on their own."

"Pretty like you," Chaoscribe murmured absentmindedly, staring at him with adoring eyes, "I could make you more if you wanted!"

Somehow, Inverter became more flustered, ducking his head down to hide his face below his veil, "I don't need anything from you! Just leave me alone."

Chaoscribe sighed, "Alright, but before I go, take this." He tapped a few buttons on his screen, printing out a sheet of paper. The akuma took it out, handing it over with a smile before turning out of the alley.

Inverter watched him go, making sure he wasn't there before staring down at the paper in his hands, reading over the text with a small huff. He relaxed as he read through it, letting his veil hide the dumb smile and bright blush appearing on his face at the compliments scattered throughout the words. Chaoscribe beamed from where he was peeking from the street, sighing happily as he watched Inverter melt over his writing. It always felt good to know that your crush enjoyed your work, especially with it being a love poem.

He looked forward to showering Inverter in even more affection. Chaoscribe would write love letters and poems until his hand fell off if he got to see that soft smile even one more time.
