    Three words force their way to the surface. Here and now they feel almost absurd, a demand she has no right to make of someone who's lost as much as Vi - not least when it's partly down to Caitlyn. But they’ve both lost, and right now, both of them need this.
    So Caitlyn quashes whatever pride she has left, and makes the words a plea: "Love me, Vi."
    And Vi - coarse, fierce ruffian Vi – she does.
