Work Text:
Miguel Rivera remained currently in a state of emotional turmoil. His emotions were all over the place. In addition, a friend with who he'd had good rapport had unexpectedly, without warning, ended up blocking him.
He didn't understand why, though. They hadn't had any fights! They always got along well! Heck! They spoke to each other a few days beforehand. So this came out of nowhere. All he knew was he sent them a message and found they had blocked him. No warning or reason at all. He contacted another friend to ask his now ex-friend why they did it. All they said was that it was complicated and personal. This didn't relieve Miguel at all.
On the contrary, it made him feel even worse. Finally, so he didn't have a solid reason for being down a friend, he spent the night before crying himself to sleep.
He wouldn't see the family therapist till Wednesday. So it'd be a few more days until he could truly work through his emotional pain. Instead, he was consumed by confusion, heartbreak, and a massive fear of losing more friends for no reason.
His family assured him they'd never hurt him again. Doing their best to help him by saying a real friend wouldn't have done that. But, even though they spoke kind words, he still wasn't in the right state of mind to pay them any mind.
Either way? He'd be lost in an emotional storm for a few days. Heartbreak doesn't heal overnight. It's also hard to achieve closure without any reason why this happened in the first place.
Hopefully, talking to his therapist will help him through this. But, until then, let his heartbreak take its own course and time to heal. That's all he could do in the meantime.
