He hadn’t realized he was so transparent. Probably all the staring, idiot. He has tried not to, really he has. His eyes keep wandering back without so much as a by-your-leave from the rest of him.
Gerry touches his face, and any possibility of speech splashes off into the ocean. “D’you know you’re blushing?”
“I—I um, do that, sometimes?” Perfect. Incredibly smooth.
