Alex and Morgan had been friends for quite a while, Morgan counts their first time meeting when Alex needed a henchman and Morgan took the job, but Alex doesn’t remember that meeting no Alex counts when Morgan managed to teleport him out of the eternity zone less the 10 minutes after being placed there, an awkward meeting as Morgan can’t teleport clothing but a special one as it would be the start of their companionship.
Alex is a high level villain considered so power it would take a team of s tier hero’s to take him out, Morgan on the other hand has not fully come to understand the way their powers can be used for higher evil and is considered a D level villain only achieving a D and not an F do to the crappy apartment complex they own.
Now on one summer day about 2 months after Morgan started staying at Alex’s because Alex has a sweet evil lair and not a apartment Morgan had a bright idea for their next heist.
“Hear me out, it’s a ray gun that will transform people into the animal their most like” Morgan says as they tighten a screw on the handle
“ why don’t you just make a ray that would kill them” Alex says sitting at the desk watching Morgan work. “ well no offense killing them just makes it less fun, the game of cat and mouse would be over, also another person would take their place,” Morgan holds the gun up “now this would slow them down for at least a week” Alex raises an eye brow, “ how do you know it will work?”
“Yeah about that, you know that person you had come over to fix the leaky sink, well needless to say if you see a lizard walking around please bring them to me”
“God damn it, I’m never gonna get that sink fixed” alex rubs his hand accords his face.
“ well at least it works, I’m gonna head to the bank to see if I can lure out some hero’s to test it on, you wanna come with, we can stop by Panera and get some bagel’s”
Alex squints his eyes “ you’re lucky I like bagels”
After about 40 mins and a baker dozen of bagels later Morgan gets out of the car.
“Ok I’m gonna head into the bank, you can stay out here if you want, it will probably only take 10 mins tops”
Just as Morgan said that though a sonic boom was heard over head,
“Shit!” Morgan says looking up to see a S tier hero, “well that’s not what I want,” the s tier hero lands feet away from the car, Alex in the passenger side unbuckles their seat belt while letting out a sigh.
“ we caught you on our scanners, get out of the vehicle with you hands up and nothing else will happen” the hero says slowly approaching the car. Alex rolls their eyes and opens the car door raising their hands up.
Morgan slowly backs away hoping they hadnt been noticed, their back hits something. “ going some where?” Morgan looked up to see another hero, “ depends you gonna stop me?” Morgan responded, “ if your working with Alex then yes I will be stopping you” the hero says putting a hand on Morgan shoulder, Morgan points the ray down towards the hero’s foot just subtly enough the hero doesn’t notice.
“ hey quick question if you were to describe yourself as an animal what animal would it be?”
“ what? I don’t know a tiger maybe”
“God I hope not,” morgan squeezed the trigger firing it right on the foot and watched as the hero changed before their eyes into a badger. “ man that’s definitely not better, morgan says dropping the once hero now badger down before it might attack their face. Morgan turned around to see Alex in the air throwing fists with the hero they where dealing with, “ ok, I can help just got to hit them from a considerable distance it will be fine,” morgan to aim and fired missing by quite a bit, “ ok let’s try again,” this time firing but missing as they moved out of the way. Morgan let out a sigh, and retook aim watching the figure move, this time he pulled the trigger twice hoping one would hit.
It did but to morgan dismay not just the hero was hit. “ oh no” he watched as what appeared to be a canary and a cat fell towards the ground. The canary quickly caught itself and flew down toward the cat, but the gravity was sending the cat down faster. Morgan raced to catch the animal just barley getting their in time before it was a splat cat, “ are you Alex by any chance?” The cat rolled its eyes and nodded its little head, “ then we gotta go before more hero’s show up and take me out and make you lose one of your now 9 lives.”
