A desperate grab for the ledge was all for nothing, and he continued falling closer to the crashing waves that were nearly a black as the night.
The darkness clawed at him, and he closed his eyes as he awaited for his body to slam into the inky black.
A swift wind.
Flapping, as if a bird with huge wings was flying.
Cracking his eyelids open, an imposing figure flew toward him, snatching him right before what would have been his death.
No.
This was supposed to be his death, his funeral.
He was supposed to die, not be saved.
All of this was wrong. He tried to wriggle his way out of the other's grasp, but it was too no avail.
