“And everyone is so old,” Tubbo complains. Somehow, without them knowing about it, Tubbo’s managed to swipe a waffle and is chewing on it happily. Sapnap stifles a laugh. “Well, not everyone, I guess- the kid in our room is our age, I think. He might be younger.”
Wilbur perks up. “Does he ice skate?”
“Yeah, he does. He’s got these sick skates and everything.” Tubbo explains. “He’s quiet though. We tried talking to him, but…”
“But?”
Tubbo shrugs. "He's quiet. He doesn't talk much. I guess he's busy."
or, Tommy's made it to the Olympics for figure skating- he's the youngest contestant on the ice and he's the favor for the gold. He's supposed to be living the dream. So why is he still so unhappy? And why do all these hockey players and snowboarders care so much about him?

Summary
((This was posted to my oneshots, but given it was one of my favorite long ontshots, I decided to clean it up and post it as a stand alone.))
Tommy was climbing with his friends when he slips and falls down. He's for sure dead, his friends won't get to him in time, he's going to die on this mountain.
But something saves him, and he wakes up in a bird man's nest. Finding this creature to be taking care of him.But the longer he stays to heal, the stranger things get.

Right in the centre of the grass, stood a small ring of pale mushroom, their creamy flesh circling a patch of grass that looked slightly greener than the rest.
A Faerie ring.
Tommy grinned, taking a deep breath to steady himself before moving to stand within the ring. It felt wrong, bone numbingly, absolutely and deeply wrong to stand in the middle of the Faerie ring, but Tommy persevered. He began to shout.

In his bones, the ache of loneliness has set in. Worse than that, the seatbelt digs into his ribs and one of his arms is twisted uncomfortably. Broken, maybe. The ship has realigned, and he can hear the dinging warning of oxygen leaks and damage, flashing red lights, but he lets his head drop to his chest. He closes his eyes.
Tommy is alone.
Floating in the middle of space as his water supply runs out is the last place that Tommy wants to be, but he's resigned to the fact that it might be his fate. That is, until a ship finally picks up on his transmissions...
