   Summary

   The end of the war is nigh and Gideon Potter, an American Corporal writes home to his brother Arlo after his arrival at the burned and abandoned SS Headquarters at Wewelsburg Castle. Having liberated the fifty or so prisoners of the nearby camp who served as its maintenance staff, he is informed by one that all of the Schutzstaffel's meddling in the occult has awoken something deep under the castle's catacombs. Monsters? Legends? Myth? Gideon's curiosity prickles. What, after all, could be more monstrous than man?
