A warm summer’s day. That was more than enough of a reason for Daisy to invite Byleth outside the Manor for a lovely picnic in the fields. With a blanket spread out beneath them, the two helped themselves to the lovely spread of fruits and finger foods Daisy grabbed from the kitchen.
“Hey B, you mind givin’ me some of those strawberries and chocolate?”
“Not at all,” Taking the princess’ plate, Byleth cherry-picks a few strawberries from their picnic basket with his napkin, placing them on her plate. Then with a butter knife, scoops a fair amount of melted milk chocolate from a mason jar, slathering a portion onto each berry. After piercing a toothpick into a berry, Byleth returns her plate. “Here you are,” he says, a smile crossing his lips.
Daisy retrieves it from the professor, “Thank you cutie,”
The tail of her words caught Byleth off guard. “Cutie…?” he repeats.
She nods. “Mhm! I think you're a cutie, so I call you cutie,” The brunette pops a chocolate covered strawberry in her mouth, followed by a good-natured smile. “Just a little pet name I thought fit you,”
Byleth blushed. He’d been thought to be a lot of things; a demon, a ghost …but a cutie was certainly a first.
