Chapter Text

He could feel the pain rushing through his arms, and tingling up throughout his whole body. Tears rushed down his cheeks, masking in the rain that was pouring down on him, soaking through his clothes. Sobs wrecked the boy's body, shaking and shivering under the cold downpour. A million thoughts rang through his head, a million questions. Why him, out of all people, why did he have to live this life. Why couldn’t he have a normal life. He was only 16 and was living with a mad man that made his entire house reek of terror and death. There was no escape from it. No matter how hard he had tried to avoid getting this horrid mark on his arm, it still made its way onto him, sending constant pain through his body as he continued to flee through the forest surrounding his house. He was done, he couldn’t do it any longer. He wondered if anyone would miss him, he knew he would miss his parents surely. His mother would be devastated when they found his body, but it was either this or live under the reign of that man.

So many thoughts were draining and blocking his vision, along with the rain, that he forgot to watch his steps, his foot catching onto a rock, tripping him and making his body slam into the ground. He cried out, seeing his vision blur as black spots began to dance around his vision. No. No. They will find him alive when they begin to look harder in the morning, this isn’t what he wanted. He didn’t get to where he wanted to be, he failed once again. Like a coward. Before he fully lost consciousness, he heard leaves crinkling and a stick break around him, and he closed his eyes, dreading when he would wake up.

Harry felt shivers go up his spine, as they all sat around the table in Grimmauld, eating dinner. The rain poured loudly outside, lightning flashing across the sky every once in a while, thunder crashing around them. Harry had been feeling this nagging, tugging feeling, pulling him to certain places for two months now. He would think it was weird if he hadn’t come into his creature inheritance a month before that. After he came into his creature inheritance, Moony and Padfoot had quickly whisked him to Grimmauld and began helping him learn how to deal with this transformation. Apparently they had helped his dad with it, which would’ve been nice to at least know that he would be going through this in the first place.

He jerks out of his thoughts, as Moony clears his throat, both of them staring at him with raised eyebrows, giving him a concerned look. To be fair Harry had been spacing out more and more lately, seeming to have more than he could handle on his mind. Harry looks at Moony sheepishly and rubs the back of his neck before Sirius bumps him softly. “Alright, spill, what’s going on in that empty mind of yours?” He smirks, leaning forward. “Oh? Maybe you are thinking of a certain someone? But I don’t know, maybe it’s not, hmm?” He laughs and leans back into his chair again, quickly getting cut off as he yelps, Remus having kicked him harshly in the shin.

“Harry, you know we are just concerned with you, especially since you just recently came into your creature inheritance.” he says softly, motioning for me to speak. He pauses before sighing softly, nodding his head in response. “Yeah, I mean you aren’t wrong, it does have to do with my inheritance, I think it does at least.” After this being said Remus prompts him to continue speaking, slightly confused. “Well, I get this nagging and tugging feeling to go to certain spots around, and lately, especially tonight, my chest has been having excruciating pains, as if it is trying to get my attention.” Harry watches as Remus’s face lights up before his eyes widen slightly.
“Harry, just how bad are these pains, this is important. That tugging feeling is trying to bring you closer and closer to your meant to be, but if you’re having pains, then that means they are in some sort of trouble. And as the dominant this means that your submissive is calling out for help in the only way they know how.” he says quietly, as if to keep the other calm.

Harry feels his hands sweat slightly, dragging them against his pants to dry them off. “Is there any way for me to find out directly where they are?” he questions, feeling his stomach begin to clench, worry beginning to eat away at him. Harry looks up into the faces of Remus and Sirius and watches their reactions. Remus clears his throat before continuing “Well, yes. But you don’t know what state they will be in when you find them exactly.” he responds. Harry stands up quickly, the chair scraping across the floor, making the other two flinch slightly. They both begin to sit up as he quickly leaves the dining room, grabbing his muddy shoes and messily putting them on.

“Harry you can’t just leave, you don’t know what you could be getting yourself into, especially with Voldemort still out there.” Remus mutters worriedly, shaking his head. Harry continues to grab his things, before slinging the door open and turning to look at the other two dead in the eyes. “I know, I have dealt with that ugly piece of shit my whole life, I'll be cautious I swear.” before he turns around, closing the door behind him. The sounds of feet hitting the pavement slowly getting quieter and quieter.

Sirius laughs as Remus responds with a groan “Just like his father huh Moony.” before leaning against the other, a fond smile on his face. “Don’t be so worried Remus, he will be fine, when has he ever not come back? Except hopefully it’s with his soulmate this time.” he pauses before turning to Remus with a shit eating grin. “Wanna bet on who it is?” He barely gets the words out before he’s scuffed across the head with Remus’s hands.
