    “Don’t come back here, you got it?” The hand Lon’qu has wrapped around the hilt of his sword pales as he tightens his grip. “You can’t ever come back.”

    Inigo hurts as he turns away, pausing with the desire to look back just to see if Lon’qu will be watching him until he can’t anymore. He doesn’t take the chance, keeps his eyes ahead as his nails dig crescents into his palms.

    “Lon’qu... there is magic all around us,” he says after a while. “For what reason must those who command it be condemned?”

    Inigo tries not to look relieved when he hears Lon’qu give out a soft breath.
