Shouto’s POV:

I am nervous.

Valentine’s day is right around the corner and I have absolutely no idea what to do. I’ve asked a few friends and they’ve told me to get chocolates, roses, plushies, and other goodies for my lover. I also needed to make a card of some sort. Perhaps breakfast and take them to dinner. Oh, and I needed to remind them I love them, preferably with sex.

Izuku and I have never had sex.

I don’t know how to tell him I am prepared to show him my love. How does one instigate that? This query lives in my mind for days leading up to Valentine as I prepare the needed goods. Izuku would be staying over the night before so I could make him breakfast, check. I plan to present the gifts around lunch. Then dinner. Then sex? I sigh softly as I pull the door open. Izuku stands there with a broad smile and a huge backpack. I welcome him in silently, my interest peaked by the bag. Usually, Izuku just brings clothes and bathroom stuff. Perhaps he was gearing up for valentines day as well? I hum as Izuku drags me into a tight hug. He laughs when I have trouble wrapping my arms around him in return. I love that sound. Such a pretty sound. Izuku takes my hand and leads me up to my room. He sets the bag on the floor and plops into my bed, something he’s only started doing recently. I gently sit down beside the green-haired beauty and touch his knee. He swivels his head to the side to smile up at me.

“How was your day, Izuku?” I question in a soft voice.

“It was really good. I had a bit of trouble focusing in class because I was so excited to spend the night with you-”

“Oh no, should I have waited until after class to ask you over? I apologize for hindering your work,” I deep frown settles on my lips and Izuku sits up.

“No, Sho, it’s fine. I don’t mind. We weren’t even doing much today,” I nod, even though I still felt bad for distracting the other. I didn’t want him to fail out of college for me. That would make it seem like I’m not supportive of his dreams. I am very much supportive of his dreams.

“Sho,” Izuku calls gently, his warm palm on my cheek. He gently rubs my scar and I lean into the touch. “It’s okay, I promise,” I nod and relax a bit. “Would you like to watch a movie and cuddle?” he questions, making me blush. Izuku nods. “I’m going to put on my pajamas, you pick the movie,” he kisses my cheek and bounces off with his giant bag. I huff as I slide off the bed to change and put on a movie. I decide on something we’ve both seen a dozen times, just in case we doze off. I move to get some snacks and return to find Izuku already lying on what I’ve deemed as his side of the bed. He smiles as he takes the snacks and scoots over a bit to welcome me into the bed. I slide in and pull the blankets over my lap. I set the snacks aside to gently snuggle into Izuku’s side. He presses play on the remote and we sit there together enjoying the touch and movie.

Izuku wakes to the smell of burning everything. Apparently, I did not know how to make breakfast. Izuku still smiles as he helps me get rid of the evidence of the food murder. He then slowly shows me how to properly make breakfast. What would I do without this adorable man? Once breakfast is over we spend the morning just talking. I love when we do this, it makes me feel heard. By noon, Izuku offers to make lunch. While he’s busy with that I gather the cards, plushies, chocolates, comic books, and flowers. Izuku nearly drops the food when he enters the living room to see everything.

“Sho! Oh, my goodness! I’ve - you- Sho,” I smile a bit.

“Happy Valentine’s day?” I offer, nervous he wouldn’t like the items. Izuku gently sets the food down and pulls me into a tight hug.

“Sho, this is so wonderful. No one has ever done something like this for me before. Thank you,” his grip tightens and he presses his nose to my throat. I could feel the tears as they rained down on me. He quickly pulls away and runs up the stairs while wiping his tears. He returns moments later with a large teddy bear and a single card.

“I know it’s not a lot, especially not compared to your gift, but it’s all I could afford. Happy valentines,” I hold the bear tight to my chest and inhale the scent of Izuku that had rubbed off on it.

“It’s perfect, thank you, Izuku,” I pause. “So, are we required to have sex before or after dinner?”
