Summary
A virginal sacrifice to the dragon.
In order to save her family’s magic, Hermione must kiss the Drakestone, an ancient statue of a winged, half-naked man as gorgeous as sin.
He wasn’t supposed to kiss her back.
Hermione and the Drakestone, Draco, are now trapped in a half-formed bond neither of them wants, but their magic insists they complete. Even a magically enhanced attraction is not enough to make Draco forget how Hermione’s ancestors enslaved him or make her see past his infuriating arrogance.
She and the irritating prat will have to figure out how to break the bond without giving into the mounting temptation to complete it. Assuming they don’t kill each other first.-
“I have waited long for this day.” His voice was low, graveled. The way a mountain would speak. Reverberations thrummed into her veins, vibrating across her skin, singing to her bones. A storm roaring through a granite canyon, echoing in a call she knew. Or ought to know.
Hermione leaned into the touch until his hand, warm and alive, cupped the side of her face. She wanted to know where the tempest would take her, follow his path of destruction wherever it led.
Hungry eyes flashed in understanding. “Mine.”
