It was a great morning as the sun starts to rise from the bottomless ground. The moon was starting to fade away and the sky gradually turns into a light baby blue. Lizzie wakes up from her bed and arises up to stretch out her arms with a small yawn at the end. She gets up from her bed but suddenly pauses taking a look around her bedroom. She scans the room with a puzzling face and then suddenly takes a good look at her hands. Small slender fingers with blue scale assets. Her eyes immediately jolted into concern and rushed out to find the closest mirror she could find. From there she was looking at her reflection with her hands cupping against her cheeks. One look and her eyes were shaking in shock.
"AHHHHHHH!!"
Next up was by the Overgrown, Katherine had just awoken and felt a strange feeling within her body. What was even more strange was that her room also felt strange to her as well. She gets up from her bed and felt long luscious of her black hair draping along with her shoulders. She flickered her eyes with grand confusion. She left her bedside and passed by a mirror, from the corner of her eyes she saw something that caught her eyes. She quickly runs up close to the mirror with her hands against the glass and slowly lifts a hand to brush against her face. Her face flushes a little and quickly backs up to the point she falls onto the floor.
"W-What is this?!"
Over by the Rivendell Palace, a knock was heard at the door. Scott was snoozing peacefully upon his bed and didn't seem to hear the noise coming from the door. It knocks again with the person at the door shouting out his name more verbally for him to hear. This time Scott groans slightly out of annoyance and flips over to another side with his pillow covering his face. The door opens up revealing a maid, she comes over to Scott's bedside and shakes the King awake.
"Your majesty it's time to wake up"
"Just...five more minutes..."
The maid raises her eyebrows in confusion. "Your majesty. The sun has already risen please wake up" She grabs the pillow softly away from Scott's face.
Scott groans a little and yawns out. "...why are you referring to me as your majesty?" Scott was still half asleep not able to comprehend his surroundings.
"What a strange question your majesty. That's because you are the King of Rivendell"
Scott yawns more and stretches out his arms, although his body then froze. He jolted from his bed and grabs hold of the maid's shoulder. "W-W-What did you just say?!"
"I-I said you are the Kind of Rivendell..."
Scott then takes his hands off and then saw a mirror along the wall. His eyes widened once he takes a good look at his reflection.
"Your majesty...are you alright? You seem a bit pale."
"W-Why am I, Scott?!"
At the Crystal Cliffs Gem was restocking on a few potions in her apothecary building. Once she place them neatly inside the shelves she left them outside with an uninvited guest that flew over to her area. It was Katherine, she was flying from the sky and landed gracefully in front of her.
"Oh! Katherine! It's great to see you, how are you this morning?" Gem greeted her with a smile only to realize she slightly made an unknown mistake.
"Gem! I think something has happened to me!" Katherine grabs onto her shoulders in a panic. Gem blinks her eyes shuddered by her grasp. "Uh okay...calm down Katherine. What happened?"
"I'm not Katherine! I'm fWhip! Somehow I got trapped inside her body!"
Gem blinks her eyes again. Her expression completely went blank with a puzzling confusion. "Wait...hold on a second here. You're fWhip...? Like...my little brother fWhip? Crazy childish charming fWhip?"
"You can leave the crazy childish part out." fWhip (Katherine) crosses her arms together.
"Oh...my Aeor..." Gem slightly covers her mouth in disbelief. "H-How did this happen?"
"I-I don't know! I woke up this morning and then all of a sudden I realized I was in Katherine's bedroom..." fWhip (Katherine) stares at his hands. "Then I noticed the long hair and-and these things" He referred to her chest. "J-Just what are these?!" He spouted in a panic.
Gem want to laugh realizing how innocent her brother was. She slightly cleared her throat keeping it together. "Okay. Um...this is certainly a very complex situation. It's also a little hard to take you seriously since you're in a girl's body..."
"Gem this is serious! You have to fix this! How do I get back to my original body" fWhip (Katherine) was starting to get desperate.
"Okay calm down Ka—Er uh fWhip. I'm not exactly sure how you got into this position, but if you're here in Katherine's body then..." Gem's eyes suddenly darted into the sky noticing another unexpected guest. "It's...possible Katherine might be in yours."
fWhip (Katherine) raises an eyebrow. "How do you know that?"
"Um watch out!"
fWhip (Katherine) couldn't get an immediate reaction and fell onto the ground by an unknown person laid on top of him.
Katherine (fWhip) gasped out and then gets up. "Oh, my Aeor! I'm so sorry these wings are so hard—W-Wait is that me?!"
fWhip (Katherine) was holding onto his head from the attack and lifted his head glancing at himself. Literally himself. He quickly gets up and gazes at him in confusion. "Katherine...? Is that...you?"
"S-Sort of yeah. At least on the inside maybe?" Katherine (fWhip) responded sounding unsure.
"Okay...I guess my assumptions were correct then." Gem said out loud. "You two have swapped bodies."
They both blinked their eyes. "W-We switched bodies?!"
"It's quite obvious. Your souls swapped from your bodies, and it can exchange your minds which in this case you both ended up in each other's bodies." Gem easily explained it in the best way she can.
"Is there a way you can fix it?" Katherine (fWhip) asked.
Gem was going to speak but then two more guests shows up.
"Gem. We have a serious crisis we're dealing with" Lizzie (Joel) confronted Gem.
"Um...well I'm currently in the middle of something do you both mind waiting for a few minutes?" Gem awkwardly responded to her.
"No can do! Both me and Joel switched bodies and we need you to fix it!" Lizzie (Joel) immediately declined to tell her situation.
Gem and the others all stirred their eyes into them with disbelief in their eyes.
"S-So does that mean...Joel is Lizzie and Lizzie is Joel?! Oh my, Aeor this is so confusing!" Katherine (fWhip) cupped her cheeks in shock having trouble processing everything in her mind.
"Why are you acting like that fWhip? You act like a girl?" Joel (Lizzie) almost snickered.
"That's because I am a girl Joel!" fWhip (Katherine) shouted out with an annoyed tone.
"Wait! You and Katherine also both swapped bodies?!" Joel (Lizzie) widened his eyes in disbelief.
"Seems like all four of you swapped bodies." Gem corrected with the following statement.
"Yeah, and they aren't going to be the only ones either."
From behind, Jimmy and Scott were flying from the sky and landed in between amongst the group.
"W-Wait! Jimmy?! Scott?! You both swapped bodies too?!" Katherine (fWhip) was surprised to see them.
"Yeah I was sleeping peacefully on my bed and then I was referred to as a "King" and then boom! I became Scott! King of Rivendell! Isn't that crazy?!" Jimmy (Scott) explained his situation.
"Even as Scott, I can tell you're Jimmy with the way you're speaking" fWhip (Katherine) snickered.
"Wait what? Katherine that's a little rude—WAIT for a second! Is that fWhip?! You swapped bodies with a girl?!" Jimmy (Scott) was completely shocked but he ended up laughing in the end.
"Stop laughing! It's not funny! Even if I am a girl that doesn't stop me from poking fun at you Cod boy!" fWhip (Katherine) stand up against him, but then he realized how tall Scott's body was compared to him since he's in Katherine's body.
Scott: 5'10
Katherine: 5'4
(I know these heights probably aren’t canon, I don’t pay attention to the small details)
Scott (Jimmy) went in between them breaking up their feud. "Settle down you both. It's already weird enough to see myself bickering with Katherine's body, let's not stretch this any further"
"It is a little weird...that's the first time I've seen myself arguing with Scott do fiercely" Katherine (fWhip) tilted her head to the side.
"It's also weird watching Jimmy acting as the mature man in the group breaking up an argument. I wouldn't believe it" Joel (Lizzie) crosses his arms together snickering.
"Hey! What is that supposed to mean?" Jimmy (Scott) turned his head. Joel (Lizzie) shrugs his arms up.
"Look we can continue this another time when we're all back in our original bodies. Gem do you mind if you can solve this?" Lizzie (Joel) desperately asks for Gem's insistence.
"W-Well...the thing is though. How did this happen from the beginning? All of you stated you woke up in each other's bodies right? Did anything...unusual happened last night?" Gem firstly asks the main part of the situation that had started this. They all started to think and then one of them began to speak.
"Actually! All six of us were exploring a cave we found during our adventures!" Scott (Jimmy) thought out.
"That's right!" Joel (Lizzie) hastily agreed
"There were three separate tunnels we thought could lead to secret passageways. So we all split into three groups of two" He then added.
"Did the cave have anything unusual?" Gem raises an eyebrow.
"Well...the cave was really beautiful. There were lots of crystals and the walls gave off an illuminating effect. I didn't see to notice anything strange, right fWhip?" Katherine (fWhip) shifted her eyes over to him. All he did was nodded.
Gem was pondering in her mind processing all of the information given to her. "I've heard about this cave." The group darted their eyes towards her as a book appeared in her hands. She explored the pages and stopped on a page where a blue crystal image was shown. "This is a mirage crystal. Which is also a mana stone, It's a power source for that specific cave. They radiate an illuminating effect much as Katherine describes as a way to distract everybody. Their main ability is to sense a human's soul and use that as a way to connect its source lock onto you. That's probably how you all got into this situation" Gem thoroughly explains it afterward. The book in her hands then disappears.
"Next time remind me not to go near any unusually looking caves after again" Lizzie (Joel) stated with a facepalm in the end. Everybody else also agreed.
"Okay now that you know what happens, surely you know how to solve this right Gem?" fWhip (Katherine) hastily asks her.
"Well...the catch is. You guys are going to be stuck like this for 24 hours..." Gem's voice then trails off averting her eyes to the side. Everybody immediately raised their voice with shock.
"What?!"
"What do you mean 24 hours?! I can't stay in Scott's body for that long!" Jimmy (Scott) said.
"I also have things to do over by the Grimlands as well!" fWhip (Katherine) backed Jimmy's statement.
"L-Listen it's just how it is alright? Maybe I can try to find a spell to reverse it, but until then you guys are going to have to wait" Gem concludes reassuring everybody.
"I guess... it's not that bad." Scott (Jimmy) speaks up after Gem was done. "I could get used to the life of a Cod man for a day" He chuckles.
"Are you kidding me? I mean don't get me wrong it's nice to see myself fused within my wife's body but I miss my handsome face!" Joel (Lizzie) started to whine.
"Joel first off I don't ever wanna hear myself speak those words out from my mouth and second of all. It's going to be fine. It's not like we're stuck like this for all eternity" Lizzie (Joel) calms her husband down.
"Then what do you propose we do then? We can't let anybody else know about this or else things will start to get complicated" Joel (Lizzie) crosses his arms together.
Suddenly an idea came to Katherine's mind. "How about this? Why don't we continue our lives normally just in each other's bodies?"
"Just as I elaborated on earlier. Getting used to our bodies for a little while until the 24-hour mark hits" Scott (Jimmy) added to Katherine's (fWhip's) suggestion.
"It's probably wise if you go with that idea. We all rule over an empire after all...it'll be hectic if people start to suspect something." Gem speaks ups. "I'll let you guys figure out the rest of your planning while I'll check to see if there's a way to reverse the spell" Gem runs off leaving the rest of the group standing there.
"I can't believe I'm stuck like this for 24 hours..." fWhip (Katherine) looks at his slender fingers. "This dress is also way too long..." He twirls the skirt of the dress to the side a little.
"It's not so bad compared to these huge wings...I had a lot of trouble navigating through the sky with them on" Katherine (fWhip) tried to flutter them together.
"I don't think we should worry about handling what is what. Jimmy, it's time to make our way to Rivendell. As King...your Elvin people need you" Scott (Jimmy) smirks as he stares at Jimmy (Scott.
Jimmy (Scott) blinked his eyes in confusion. "W-Wait what? B-But I'm not a King! I'm Jimmy! The Codfather!" He hastily backs up a little.
"Correction. I'm the Codfather. You're Scott" Scott (Jimmy) then grabs him by the wrist and started dragging him away. "See you guys later" He waves a farewell to everybody else.
"W-Wait! But Scott!" Jimmy's (Scott) voice suddenly softens as they walked farther away.
"If they're going to go be productive then I'm going to do the exact opposite" Joel (Lizzie) started yawning and stretches his arms out starting to walk away as well. "Might as well take a nap until the next morning"
"Oh no, you don't! Just because you're in my body doesn't mean I'm gonna let you do as you please!" Lizzie (Joel) stops him from walking any further grabbing onto his forearm. Joel (Lizzie) tried to yank his arm away but apparently, he was overwhelmed by his strength. Literally. "Geez, why are you—er I mean I am so strong?!"
"You can blame yourself for working out so much. Now come along...ugh I can't believe this is all happening." Joel (Lizzie) let out an annoyed tone at the end while they flew into the air with their elytra.
"Are you also going to drag me as well?" fWhip (Katherine) darted his eyes to Katherine a little sketched out after watching everybody leave.
"W-What? Of course not! I wouldn't do that to you!" Katherine (fWhip) immediately waves her hands around denying it.
fWhip (Katherine) then let out an annoyed sigh. "This is annoying...I guess standing around here won't do us any good."
"I agree! I assume you have some busy things happening by the Grimlands right? What is my first task?" Katherine (fWhip) sweetly smiles pumped up handling Grimland duties. fWhip (Katherine) stares at her and then grins slightly with an amusing expression.
fWhip (Katherine) landed gracefully onto the ground. "Having these light fairy wings makes things so much easier...though this dress is still problematic..." He pinches the side of the skirt of the dress a little.
"Woah! WOAH!" Katherine (fWhip) was shouting from the sky having trouble stirring through the sky with the large wings.
"Katherine calm down! If you panic those wings will go crazy. You have to stay calm since they get too influenced by emotion" fWhip (Katherine) shouted from the ground helping her land safely. Katherine (fWhip) considered his words. She breaths in and out and calmed down her composure. Her wings stopped going sporadically and she was able to glide against the air gracefully she landed on the ground with no issues.
"See? What did I tell ya? Simple. Now just close those wings up and we can get inside" fWhip (Katherine) said while smiling. Her wings closed behind her, it started twitching a little after a few seconds. Once she was able to get them maintained. They were shortly closed and she let out a sigh of relief. Although they instantly broke open forcing her to gasp out in surprise, she was about to fall forward, but fWhip (Katherine) was there to hold her for support. In the end, they ended up having a little accident.
fWhip (Katherine) was fallen onto the ground while Katherine (fWhip) was on top of him with her hands pressed against the ground beside him. They were staring into each other eyes with silence. Although that silence was shortly interrupted as soon as a guard came rushing by.
"Count fWhip! You finally came back, I was worried—"
He immediately pauses at his place staring at the two and swiftly turns around apologizing. "I-I am so sorry for interrupting you both!"
They both fluttered their eyes together with confusion. Katherine's (fWhip) face then started flushing up red, she immediately gets up away from fWhip (Katherine) realizing what she caused. "I-I-Its not what it looks like—! I-I didn't mean—fW—er I mean!" She started stumbling over her words out of confusion and embarrassment. fWhip (Katherine) almost let a small laugh escape from his mouth. He quickly clears his throat and stood up dusking part of the dress. "It's alright... let's go. They're waiting for you...Mi-lord~" He winks with a cheeky smile at the end.
Katherine (fWhip) blinks her eyes still with a flustered face and confusion. "R-Right...)
