“Keep in mind when I tell you this,” Akira preambles, “I tried to argue with them, and I know you had a rough day so I don’t want you to—”
“Akira,” Goro interrupts, her curiosity only growing stronger throughout Akira’s buildup. “Just tell me.”
Akira takes in a slow breath.
“They suggested—more like ordered, actually—that… the maids could start picking up more work in the kitchen…”
“They what?!”
Goro’s back on her feet in a flash, and Akira cowers backward from the sudden movement as the pad of Goro’s socked footsteps approach him, an expression of pure terror on his face as though a shoeless maid in his personal space is the most threatening thing he’s ever seen in his life.
“Are you telling me I have to cook?!”

or goro works at a maid cafe and the job is a nightmare. now she has to learn how to cook on top of that. at least she has a good teacher to guide her; she might as well use him to entertain herself while this lesson lasts.
