Haruki wasn’t someone who enjoys Valentine's Day, but this year, with the help of Tachibana, he still made some chocolate for his superiors in the Toy Gun Gun team. Haruki was so happy inside but still he kept his face icy cold. After gifting the chocolates to Matsuoka, Yukimura and Tachibana, he was going to return to his apartment when Tachibana asked:
“HaruHaruki! Are you going to Hoshishiro hospital? I would stop there for a while to give some chocolates.”
“W-What? I don’t know who to give them to even if I come along!”
“Umm… I don’t know either … Ah! That’s it, how about Haruka-san?”
“Why the fuck should I give that bastard chocolates?”
Seeing Haruki’s exaggerated reaction, Tachibana guessed the twins’ relationship was just as bad as before, even if Haruki was going to graduate while receiving his medical degree. It might mean that he would work together with Hoshishiro’s little brother… Saying goodbye to Haruki, Tachibana decided to walk to the hospital alone, but he unintentionally overheard Haruki’s grumbles as he was on his way to leave:
“I don’t even have spare chocolate to give him…”
Stopping by the combini and buying a random decent choco bar, Haruki was determined that he would visit his brother today. He had never visited his brother on his free will, so he decided to go to Haruka’s workplace in person this time.
Haruki had come to Hoshishiro hospital several times for internship, so the guys in the survival game team and some nursing staff would recognize him, but today he just wanted to arrive as fast as he could, left the chocolate bar carelessly on Haruka’s working desk and retreated. Mission completed.
The plan was thought to be so, but when Haruki arrived, he saw Haruka working in the endoscopy clinic. Haruka looked so busy that he couldn’t bear to just silently leave the chocolate there and go home. Haruki asked the nurses for Haruki’s restroom, he went there and put the choco bar on his bed.
“Phew…” - Haruki clucked his tongue, satisfied like he just completed a huge challenge in life. But...
“But… how the hell can I know that he has received it?”
Despite his unexplainable frustration, Haruki stormed back to the endoscopy clinic and hid in a corner, deciding to see when Haruka would receive his gift. Today is Monday, and his little brother replaced his black turtleneck with a light blue shirt with a carefully tied cravat. He always looked so serious and sophisticated when working, and Haruki was envious of that. Haruka was really talented, he became a doctor before Haruki did, even being 1cm taller than him - that bastard was better than him in every aspect. Haruka was totally going to receive lots of chocolate from girls, why did he have to give him some? Stopping his thoughts, Haruki’s anger bubbled up again and he almost turned back to retrieve his intended-for-Haruka choco bar, only to find Haruka finishing his work and looking at the door. Haruki was surprised, he nudged closer to the wall, heart beating anxiously.
“Ah… Seems like someone really, really special has come to visit me today.”
In contrast to his emotionless expression at the workplace, Haruka chuckles, reaching for his phone to call Haruki. As Haruki’s phone rang right after, he quickly fumbled to shut it off, his heart beating wildly as if it was going to drop out of his chest, and ran away as far as possible.
“Stupid Nii-san, I know you are here. ~”
Not wanting to expose him yet, Haruka satisfiedly left the clinic and went to his resting room to put his stuff away. Haruki left out a sigh of relief and decided to follow his brother. When he saw Haruka entering the room, he stood outside and looked through the door. Haruki scowled while watching Haruka, he would leave immediately when he saw that bastard touch the chocolate bar. Haruka saw the Valentine gift that his brother spent the effort to give to him directly, and his heart thumped in unrelenting excitement. His brother was the best person in the world. He just wanted to come to the door and pull Haruki into a hug right there, but this chocolate bar was precious enough.
“Haruki, one bar of chocolate isn’t enough, I wouldn’t dare to eat it...”
“FUCKING EAT IT AND LET ME BUY ANOTHER ONE?!”
In his uncontrollable anger, Haruki shouted, accidentally revealing to Haruka that he’s here. His brother turned back to face him and smiled, his face bearing the creepy expression of a brother-obsessive person. Oh no, this is not going well, Haruki…
Haruki ran as fast as he could, right behind him was Haruka, and the sound of some nurse trying to stop their chase.
“Dr.Hosokawa, young man! Please keep silent in the hospital hallways!!”
