Work Text:
"You are lying, aren't you?" Jimin throws a questioning look at Taehyung while icing a cupcake.
"Huh?" he frowns. "Why would I? I mean- okay! You need to see to believe. And I bet, he's definitely coming here in a few days. Definitely!" he bubbles.
"Oh", Jimin rolls his eyes, "I'll see. But you Tae? You seem to have a long ass crush on him?" he smirks.
"Yeah, I do, and I'm sure you-"
"Uh Tae! We have to be done with these within this weekend", he whines.
It's weekend and Strawberries and Chocolates cafe is thriving with customers. Being owners of this pretty yet small cafe, Taehyung and Jimin are more than happy. According to Jimin, he feels the happiest when he sees contended customers leaving their small heaven with smiles on their faces. They have two more helper boys with them, but that doesn't stop them from working overtime and with neat dedication even in the weekends. Taehyung has a different opinion about this though. He feels that weekends are for recharging themselves, and though Jimin has none of that, this time, on the younger's request, Jimin is taking Sunday as a Sunday. A particular someone, who used to be Taehyung's senior in his high-school is in town, and according to him, he's so breathtaking that both girls and boys were ready to risk it all for him. Jimin finds these kind of stories quite amusing, and when his best friend suggested that he should also meet the pistachio-chio man, (Jimin calls him so since the time he's heard that the man's favourite flavour is pistachio, which Tae had learnt from a certain girl who was his ex-girlfriend) he was not so amused. The reason being known to no one, but him.
Jimin had lost his parents when he's barely started forming sentences-his maternal uncle took his responsibility afterwards. No tears were wasted until the day he understood what mother and father really means. He cried buckets of tears that day, and a few years after, when he came to know that he liked boys and not the pretty girls in his school, the environment around him changed within the wink of an eye-he was told to leave. He had to start packing his things and think of a way to survive on his own. So, soon after he received his school-passing results, he left his only home. Fortunately, the little amount of money he had led him to a temporary shelter for at least two months, and his overwhelmingly good academic reports led him a seat at a college with a scholarship. And if more fortune was waiting for him, he met Taehyung, in his college, and when they became friends forever, he had dragged him by his hands and legs to stay with him, and considering Jimin was penniless that time, he happily agreed. And now, they run a sweet cafe, alongside their academics. Life is not so hard for him except the special place in his mind which is reserved for thinking of love-or relationships in particular-he is a gay, that is not a thing he was or is worried about-it's just-these kind of things terrify him in a way probably a deadly spider can't. And so, when Tae talks non-stop about his crush and all, he always keeps mum-as if he has accepted this that love isn't for him. There being enough facts to justify it-neither did he get the love of his parents-nor any family members-not anyone. Just his friend, Taetae. And he's glad to have him-he doesn't want anyone more, he is happy this way...he knows that one day his best friend will also fall in love and settle, but...he will think of a way then. For now, let him focus on his mango ice-cream, which is melting slowly.
They are on their way back home, Taehyung's paternal house, where they are the only souls who dwell.
"I guess next week's gonna be a relatively lighter one-most of the locals are going to attend the Seoul year-end fair", Jimin licks a drop of ice-cream which has melted and landed on his knuckles.
Taehyung nods.
The week goes by pretty fast, and as Jimin had predicted, the people are relatively less than the rest of the year, giving the two best friends to chit-chat over coffees and cakes more. And it's almost the weekend when Taehyung rushes with phone in his hands to Jimin's room, repeatedly calling by his name to wake him up. Taehyung never wants to mess with a sleeping Jimin-moreover, he says that Jimin looks like an angel while he sleeps-but the thing which he has come to know just now is so much exciting-
"Hmm?" Jimin rubs his eyes, still in a haze, "What's the matter?" He sits up.
"I told you about my senior-you remember? Jung Hoseok-ssi?"
Jimin recollects for a second-"yes, so?"
"He's visiting us tomorrow!"
Jimin rolls his eyes. "This? Seriously Taetae, you have gone crazyyy!" He finds it very gross of his best friend to wake him up for this pistachio-chio man-if he comes, what is Jimin supposed to do? But he can't deny that he is secretly interested to meet this new man (thanks to his friend who has fueled this!)
Jimin looks upon the orders once more as he hands them over to Cruz, one of the boys they have as help. He turns around to find Taehyung busy in his phone's selfie camera-he shakes his head and concentrates once more on his work. Honestly, he feels a bit weird today-of course all of it has not to do with the more than enough way they have dressed up today, but an unknown feeling. He though, doesn't care. He have never been insecure about his looks-he knows he is not typically handsome-like Taehyung is, his features aren't sharp for anyone to look back at him, but overall, he has something which can be called cute. He looks over the internet over some unique recipes for cakes when he squeaked in pain- "ah Tae are you mad?"-but seeing those doe eyes turn even bigger, he can't help but look at the entrance-
A tall figure walks in, his eyes strikingly beautiful. Pale blue shirt, neatly tucked in, paired with a leather brown pant, chocolate brown hairs covering the better part of his forehead. He seems to eye Taehyung and raise his eyebrows. Jimin does not realize when the man came to Taehyung and started talking, and when he does, he blushes furiously red, and tries his best to hide it. But he doesn't get that opportunity. Taehyung the brat is already introducing him to the pistachio-chiooo-?
"This-is my best buddy-Jimin. Jimin, this is Hoseok-ssi."
Jimin shakily extends his hands. He feels a bit small when Hoseok's hands totally engulf his pretty small one.
A small smile appears at the corner of the man's heart-shaped lips, "Hey! Nice to meet you Jimin-ssi."
Jimin smiles back. "Same here."
"So-" Taehyung fakes a cough, and it's when Jimin fears he will blush once more-his hands are still in Hoseok's-but when Jimin pulls his hands away, dangerously fighting a blush, Hoseok seems totally unbothered. He just smiles and adds, "Your hands are pretty small, they're cute. Well, it's a pleasure to meet you two-I'll just have some pistachio cake and a soda." He smiles at Taehyung who instantly nods, "Sure."
Jimin stands there, still analyzing over the thing-or compliment-or insult he'd call-which the pistachi- no, Hoseok has just said. The words pretty and cute are something he knows fits quite well with him, he's been told these words plenty of times, but hearing from Hoseok feels something annoyingly good-
"Jimin-ah! Lost?" He is broken from his string of thoughts and sees Taehyung already at the counter, where they are supposed to be-not in the middle of the cafe like a lost puppy. He hurries towards him and immediately ducks his head down to the papers lying on the table. He is surprised he's behaving like this and shakes his head violently. Taehyung watches him curiously. "Jimin, I feel your pistachio-chio man is likeable to you, isn't he?" Jimin glares at him but speaks nothing. He normally lashes out at Tae for this kind of teasing, but he does neither of it. He simply looks at his phone screen. A few minutes pass and he sees Taehyung heading over to the main area, "I'm coming" he speaks and walks towards Hoseok's table. He looks from there-Hoseok talking with Tae, his face lighting up with a serene smile now and then. He neatly eats his cake while listening to Tae. He remembers Tae saying yesterday night, "I always lose my words in front of him..." but once he is comfortable with someone, he starts talking-really too much, and Hoseok seems like someone too friendly. And maybe cheerful. His aura is affecting him so much that he gets lost in eyeing him, yet again. A voice at the back of his mind reminds him of something, and as if a clap of thunder strikes him, he snaps his head down. He doesn't have to eye a random stranger who is Taehyung's crush. Not his.
At night, they plan to watch a movie. They have nestled themselves within many pillows and blankets, coffee and popcorn to keep their mouths busy. They are watching a romantic comedy. To be honest, Jimin hates this genre, his deep-rooted insecurities being the sole reason because whatever he sees his subconscious starts to relate to his real-life (which isn't a fairytale). Taehyung also likes action movies the most, so when Jimin asked him why he's chosen this cheesy one, he replied, "to have the feels (of romance and Hoseok?!" wtf! And now, he's not able to concentrate. The first thirty minutes went more or less fine, with the main characters meeting for the first time and all, but gradually, things are turning not-so-decent and here he is, shifting uncomfortably in his place. He watches his friend getting lost in the movie (probably imagining him and pistachio-chio in their place, so gross!)
"Tae, I'm going to bed." He gets up when he's stopped by Tae's grip on his thighs. "Uhh, no, you have to watch till the end-I feel something very good is going to happen", and Jimin pouts, but his friend seems not to notice it. He bears with the rest of the movie, though he can't deny that he almost smiled at many scenes-and when he finally throws himself on his bed and closes his eyes, the picture of a man appears in his mind-pista-shut up Jimin.
They spend the better part of the next day planning about the yearly contest that takes place in Seoul-the best Cafe contest, where five cafes in their area take part. They are only a year old, have participated last year, and secured the third position-not so bad according to Taehyung-but "we will come first next year you see!"-Jimin had said. And it's nearing-only two weeks to go for the event, it's more like a celebration now, and people enjoy it too-who won't? If they organize free desserts for all who give an entry fee of just two dollars?
A week passes by, and when it's almost Saturday (11:55 pm to be approx), Jimin realizes his friend is behaving strangely. A lot.
In the whole week, there'd been two three times when Jimin felt so, but all the time a suitable distraction got his way and he ended up forgetting to pinch his soulmate for his extra-strange behaviour. But not today. He sees the clock and it's officially Sunday now (though this has nothing to do with this), he shouts,
"Taehyung-ah!"
A weird muffled sound comes from the kitchen, "Coming."
Taehyung appears after a minute, his hands full of nuts. "What?" he drops on the couch beside Jimin.
"May you do the honours to tell what's bothering you?" he raises his brows. Expectantly. He knows this can not be nothing.
Tae's face drops for a second, a nut falls from his mouth which he was trying to shove in "W-what could it be?" "I mean, why?"
"Cuz you are being strange."
"Oh, it's-nothing." He shrugs, but nervously.
"So you think you can escape me? Your soulmate?" he pokes him from beside. "Taehyung-ah. Tell me. Though I can't believe you keep secrets from me?!" he sighs dramatically.
"I was about to tell-but after the contest-you know, it's not that important, neither anything's gonna happen to this." He sighs, and he is sad.
"Nothing's more important than you Tae. Who is it?" "Is it not H-Hoseok-ssi?"
Taehyung chuckles. "No, uh, it's...Jungkook-ah."
Jimin's brows furrow for a second, as he remembers. Jungkook is a junior in their college, but how could Tae?-then he remembers fully. They met Jungkook approximately two months before.
"But Tae? How did-?"
"I started liking him-it's almost four weeks from now." He sighs again.
"And the thing you always kept on rambling about Hoseok-ssi? I thought he's your crush or something!"
"I did, to distract myself Min-ah. And just on Monday, he posted something on his pictagram with a girl."
Jimin feels bad for his friend, the initial annoyance that he didn't care to share this with him faded away long ago. He pets Tae's hair as he rests his head on his lap, the nuts still in his hand. "Let's not discuss that now. We'll sort something out. But later. For now, know that I love you."
Taehyung smiles faintly, "I know."
It's Thursday, and it's 11 now. It's freaking cold everywhere, and Jimin is lucky enough that his small frame is saved from being frost-bitten. He is out in this odd hour to finish shopping with the supplies they are going to need for the contest, and also, the market remains closed on Fridays, so. Tae is at the cafe, discussing things with Cruz and Adame. Jimin sees his watch-11:49 pm as he is done picking the last thing on his list, and as a small smile creeps its way to his mouth, he jolts at the sudden tap on his shoulder.
"-who!?" his breath halts when he sees a familiar figure.
"Jimin-ssi? You, at this hour?"
Jimin feels weird, how does he remember his face when he'd just seen him only once? Hoseok-ssi.
"Fo-for the c-contest." he stammers.
"Are you nervous?"
Jimin raises his brows. The pain in his hands from carrying all the heavy bags, and the chilling cold adding to that has somehow vanished for him, and as they say, he is in the moment. He collects himself quickly, "Wh-why?"
"Never mind," he smiles, gorgeously. (from when did Jimin start to use these adjectives for...leave it.)
Jimin smiles back, "Umm...sorry but I've to leave. Taehyung-ah must be waiting."
"Sure. Oh," he takes out something from the pocket of his jacket, "here, take this. If you need it." He flashes a big smile, and leaves while saying, "Meet you on Sunday."
Jimin examines the thing in his hand, though his right hand is screaming in pain, having to carry the double load, as his left counterpart is holding a piece of cardboard-like paper with something written on it. A number. He gave his number. Wait, does Taetae doesn't have his number? He surely has. So? He doesn't know from where this sudden burst of agitation is coming but his brows furrow in slight anger, "What does he think of himself? Like we aren't so rich as him so we need his help? No, we don't. We've done this before and now too, we have the potential to pull this through. We don't need this." He attempts to throw away the paper, but the place in his heart which he has unknowingly reserved for this man stops him from doing so, and Jimin is too tired to think more, and he's not angry anymore and so he heads towards home. The paper in his front pocket. Though he doesn't need it.
As they planned, he directly reaches home but stops for a moment at the entrance. Two pairs of shoes? The extra pair isn't of Taehyung's so? He hears some muffled noises of talking coming probably from the kitchen and is surprised to see Tae gossiping with a familiar figure. Is he-?
"Jungkook." The man introduces himself with a wide yet cute smile, and Jimin thinks how can a man resemble a cute bunny so much. Tae is baking something, maybe practising the special item they have planned this year, and Jungkook is helping him with that.
"Oh, hello. I'm Jimin. Nice to meet you." He smiles.
"Min-ah, you go and freshen up. Coffee is in the flask on the table, have it." Jimin leaves both of them there, he is too tired to join them. He freshens up, the cold water cutting through his skin, making his pale skin even paler. He thinks of Taehyung and smiles, but is confused about how he confessed to Jungkook...did he even do that? He puts aside those thoughts as his hands go to the card in his pocket. He runs his eyes over the number again and types it on his phone keypad. He saves the number and keeps his phone aside. He needs to rest.
The next morning, he wakes up to a delicious smell of coffees and pastries and assumes that work is in full swing, the day after being the contest. He rubs his eyes and as he walks into the hall-cum-kitchen, he freezes. He makes a squeak and both Taehyung and Jungkook fly apart in a second, cheeks flushed, eyes hazed but wide enough, lips swollen-uhh...
"Ji-uh-we..."
"I-sorry to interrupt." He smiles at them, much to his shock. His scrunching of the nose here could have hurt his bestie. He reasons to himself.
After Jungkook left, Jimin catches hold of Tae's hand and drags him inside.
"Yeah, tell me. All-of-it." He fakes annoyance, but it's so tough wtf!?
"I...he confessed."
"What?"
"Yes, and when he did, there was no reason for me to say no, so we..."
"so you kissed? But you two look...happy. That's what matters." He sounds a little philosophical, but he doesn't care. He is happy that his best friend is happy. It's usually a surprise to him not scrunching his nose at what his best friend has been doing, when Tae would talk endlessly about Hoseok, he thought it was just...just nothing. He had seen Tae having a head-over-heels crush over the class beauty-Miss Yeva, and aside from anything, he assumed him to be straight...he...it's just too much to digest. And he knows Tae knows he is thinking about this...
"You are probably thinking since when I started...liking boys?"
Jimin turns pale. He is a bit too sensitive about these things, considering this as the reason why he had to leave his home. From childhood, he has seen his aunt scrunch her nose whenever such news came in the daily newspaper, how his uncle one night proudly narrated the story of his office colleague, throwing his only daughter out because she happened to catch feelings for her female friend. On one of those occasions, he also had the sweet opportunity to witness a horrific scene of his neighbour, disowning his son due to the same, after which the son ran away. One way or the other, all those things have affected young Jimin's mind. And when he came to know about his own sexuality, he did fear. But he knows that love is love, whether a boy loves a boy or a girl, whether Taehyung had a crush on Miss Yeva or he loves Jungkook now, whether he had a crush on his cousin sister's friend or he loves Ho-excuse me, what?!
"Jimin-ah?"
"I,...I need some time." He walks back towards his room and shuts the door. He has to do some explaining to himself.
The contest begins at 5 pm. The competing teams and Team Vmin is well prepared and ready to be judged. Honestly, Jimin and Teahyung have tried their best and worked their asses off to win this contest. They are nervous, this being their second time here. As they wait expectantly for the judge's panel to arrive, Jimin feels his pulse quicken. He feels Tae grip his hand and squeezes them. "We will win, Min-ah. We will."
And the host announces, "The judges are here!"
The guests shuffle a bit, the heavy commotion morphing into hushed tones, as one by one, three aged men appear from the entrance. The middle man must be the judge this year, Jimin assumes, as the judges keep changing. But to his and Taehyung's utter surprise, a very familiar man enters the scene. Hoseok. And a beautiful lady comes and stands beside him, linking her arms with his. Tae's mouth widens in shock, as Hoseok gives his best smile to them.
"Ladies and gentlemen, may I steal your attention a bit?" He speaks in his honey voice, "Me Mr Jung Hoseok, and Miss Jiwoo are this year's judges. Would you enjoy this party and let us do the required. We are utterly pleased to have you all here today. Thank you!"
Jimin feels himself floating in the air, the voice of Hoseok barely reaching his ears. He is dazed in his thoughts, so much lost that he squeaks a bit when Tae pinches him in his elbow. "Min-ah! pay attention. We have to win. Forget that who is the judge. Just focus on winning." The next few moments pass in a blur, though this is not what they have expected-at least not near enough of Jimin's expectations. He becomes dumb when Hoseok and the lady-means the judges approach them, and partly in shock and partly in annoyance, Tae handles the whole thing, while Jimin stands there like a lost puppy, not even uttering a good evening or thankyou! It's when the judges are gone that he breaks from his daze. By a sharp pull.
"Min-ah!" the annoyance in Tae's voice is not hidden. Jimin knows he deserves this. "What's got into you? You didn't even look at them. What the hell-where the hell is your mind, Min-ah? Have we not worked our asses off to see this day? To see this? How can you-well? Leave it. It seems you don't even care. I just-can't think-" he rests his elbow on the counter and runs his fingers through his hair, eyes closed, fuming in anger. Jimin silently watches him. He is still at a loss for words. He doesn't even bother to explain himself because he can't explain it to himself either. What did he do? He slowly walks out of the hall, face down, and once he's out of the hall, he runs fast, clutching his heart, maybe some tears in his eyes.
The weather outside is horrible, rain and thunderstorms even in the chilling weather. Luckily, Jimin is without a proper jacket, only with a thin sweater on, no umbrella. They have certainly not thought that either of them will have to come out of the warm venue like this. He sees a shade nearby and walks towards it as if some invisible thing is drawing him there. He sits on the floor, the sound of rain quite deafening, as he hugs himself, feeling impossibly cold against the wet clothes and chilly surroundings. He hasn't felt so much pain in years. He feels fresh tears streaming his already wet cheeks, and he covers his mouth as he submits himself to loud sobs. He chokes on his throat, and sobs loudly. "Why...why did I develop feelings for that man! Just why! And why did I let my stupid feelings come in the way of something like this! Why...Just why?" his sobs become louder, as he knows nobody will hear them out in the deafening noise of the rain. "And Tae? I annoyed my best friend...I deserve this...deserve this..." he sobs uncontrollably and curls into a small figure. He lies down on the floor, still clutching his heart. "I'll probably leave Tae's house...find some other place...how long will I live in his house...and Hoseok? I should just...never think of him...never thought loving someone genuinely for the first time in life will hurt so much...so much!" he falls asleep.
"He'll be fine in a few hours, do remember to give him the medications", the faint noise creeps in his ears, as Jimin slowly opens his eyes. To see a familiar environment. And familiar people. The girl from the event. Jimin remembers her and a silent sob escapes him. The girl comes closer to him, and kneels by the side of his bed-
"Are you feeling okay, Jimin-ssi?"
Jimin nods. "How does she know my name?"
As if she reads his thoughts, "I am Jung Jiwoo. Your friend Taehyung-ssi had to leave due to some urgency, just ten minutes back, and the doctor prescribed some medicines for you. I, meanwhile, am here for you. If you need any help." She smiles sweetly.
"Oh", Jimin sits up and coughs. "I may have caught a cold."
Jiwoo's expression saddens. "You ought to be. The condition you were in last night! But no worries, you will be all healthy if you take these medicines. And I know you will", she hands him a tablet and a glass of water. "Have this."
Jimin gulps down the tablet, while his mind wanders to where...Hoseok is. He knows that there's no use thinking about him, after all, this beautiful and caring lady by his side (who oddly resembles a lot to Hoseok) why would he bother to even like him? He's not gay, is he? But he needs some time.
A car horn is heard, and Jiwoo gets up. "Brother and Taehyung-ssi must be here."
"Brother?" Jimin asks confused. His mind is still a bit feverish to understand.
"Yes, Hoseokie. My younger brother." She smiles.
Jimin smiles wide. A warm feeling spreads all over him, and he chuckles a bit. A weird relief fills his senses as he watches Jiwoo walk towards the door out of the room.
But even if this is it, Hoseok has no idea that he loves him.
A minute later, Taehyung and Jungkook enter the room, Jiwoo behind. Jimin looks at Tae, with a blank face, unable to think what to-how to-
"Are you feeling okay now?" Jungkook asks.
Jimin nods, and smiles. He again looks at Tae. Tae sits beside Jimin. "How could you think you could leave me all alone? I may have...I am sorry for that...but you Min-ah? You know my love for you! I could never think of you like that! I can never be annoyed by you my soulmate." His eyes tear up.
"Ah, now don't be so cheesy." Jimin's voice choke. "But-how did you know what I felt?"
"You were muttering while you were unconscious. All about Taehyung-ssi and how you thought that you annoyed him, etc." Jungkook replies.
Jimin leans forward and encloses Taehyung in an soft embrace. "I understand. Now I am okay. All fine." He smiles wide.
"And so, we have a good news." Taehyung smiles as he unlocks his phone and shows Jimin something. Jimin's eyes widen in shock. "Wha-what? How? I-Tae, how did? Is this real? We won for real?"
Jiwoo laughs sweetly. "Yes Jimin-ssi, this is real. Brother told me how hard you two worked, and your presentation along with your preparation was way too perfect. You deserve it."
Jimin smiles, and smiles wider. He is too happy over this. He hugs Tae again, beaming with happiness. He feels thirsty, and grabs a bottle from the nightstand. He gulps down some water, thinking to ask the question he has been thinking of asking ever since he has opened his eyes. Where is Hoseok? And now since the subject of the contest came, he feels he would not sound otherwise.
"Umm, I can't see H-Hoseok hyung? Is he busy?"
"He is. He is off to his office, but he'll be here soon. Maybe we should leave now."
"Now?"
"Yes Min-ah." Tae points towards a packet of food on the nightstand. "There's food in there. And water too. Have it when you feel like. Meanwhile we three have to tend to some urgent matters."
Jimin gets confused. "You too?"
The three of them nod. "Yes Jimin-ssi. Well, don't worry, my brother will be here soon. If you need anything, just call us."
Before Jimin can say anything, the three of them disappear. Jimin sees the door close behind them. He is a bit weak to stand and walk so he grabs the jar of cookies and puts one in his mouth, thinking of Hoseok. Why will he come in such a time when he will be present alone? He doesn't even know him properly. What will he say? How will he react? What should Jimin do? As he gets lost in anticipating, he hears some noise from far, and starts sweating. Even in the cold. He grabs his blanket and wipes the small beads of sweat on his forehead, as he waits to see who comes. The door opens. Hoseok.
"Jimin-ssi! How are you now?" He walks straight and sits beside Jimin, face concerned.
Jimin nods his head and hums, "Okay. I am better." His choice of words is not great.
"So, I will come straight to the point?"
"Point?" He raises his eyebrows, confused.
"Yes. Actually, I like to speak cut clear and direct. Shall I?"
"Of course." He wonders what is he referring to, but gets slightly tensed as he sees Hoseok's cheeks redden. Is he blushing?
"Do you normally? Or you-?"
"Hmm?"
"You speak while you are asleep?"
Jimin freezes. Has he spoken something about Hoseok? Colour drains off his face. "N-no?"
"Yesterday, you were mumbling something about Taehyung-about annoying and friendships and all."
"Yeah, Tae told me about that."
"So fortunately or unfortunately, this morning, there was a time when I was the only one sitting beside you. Only me. You mumbled something. About me."
Jimin closes his eyes, praying in his mind, "Oh Jesus, it must not be my feelings-or anything relating to that...please..."
"You said that you love me."
Jimin's eyes open wide. "What?" His cheeks flush deep red, and it doesn't go unnoticed by Hoseok.
"Yes. Now tell me, is it true?"
Jimin nods, even before his brain can give him instructions. Park Jimin!
"So, you say you love me. Will you not hear my side?"
Jimin feels a little courageous. Now that Hoseok knows about his feelings, he no more is hesitating, or nervous. But somewhere in his heart, he is getting ready for a negative response from Hoseok. What if he says no? What if he doesn't even like Jimin? Jimin is prepared for that too. For his heart breaking into pieces when faced with rejection. He hopes not.
"Yeah."
Hoseok clears his throat. "Well Park Jimin. I feel the same as you. Love. You."
Jimin feels he is in heaven. Unable to believe what he just heard, "Say that again?"
Hoseok's cheeks flush. "I said I love you too Jimin-ah."
"Then kiss me."
Hoseok raises his eyebrows. He shifts closer to Jimin, and lean forward, gently capturing his lips in his. He sucks on his bottom lip gently, earning a gasp and a moan from Jimin. After a few seconds, they pull apart, smile plastered on both of their lips. Jimin gets teary-eyed, as Hoseok cups his face.
"From when did you know that you love me?"
"From the time I saw you first. In the church."
Jimin remembers why his face looked so familiar to him when he first saw him at the cafe. He remembers seeing Hoseok every weekend when he used to visit the church, almost two years back.
"Really? You remembered me?"
"Yes. And when I saw you at the cafe, you can't imagine how happy I was, I also said you cute. You remember, I guess?"
"The expression of yours didn't tell so."
"Oh, I am a bit bad at expressions though." He chuckles. "But I promise, I am so good at loving my sweet boyfriend."
Jimin turns red again, as he rests his head on Hoseok's chest. "I thought you would reject me."
"Never."
