Summary
When Sam opened the card and saw “James” scrawled on the left side, the corner of his mouth ticked up into a smile.
But as soon as he read the note on the right half of the card, his smile immediately dropped.
“Honey, meet me at our spot tonight at eight. And you better not be late again either. Last time we almost got caught, and that’s the last thing we need. See you soon! XOXO”
Three things: If Sam and Bucky had a spot, it was definitely Sam’s bedroom. As far as he knew, he hadn’t been late to any of their hookups, because, again, they were in his own room. And, they didn’t need to worry about getting caught, because everyone in the compound already knew they were sleeping together, even if they didn’t acknowledge it.
So, yeah, Sam realized pretty quickly that the card wasn’t to him from Bucky. It was for Bucky, from God only knew who.
Or: Sam and Bucky each suspect the worst, and chaos ensues.
