The 3rd Year UA Sports Festival has finished. And right now the No1 Pro Hero Endeavor is handing out the medals for the first 3 places. Todoroki Shoto, winner of the first place, and Katsuki Bakugo winner of the third place. Only one person was missing the second-place winner, Izuku Midoriya. Right now he was being treated by his girlfriend Ochako Uraraka for the "serious" injuries that he caused himself during the fight.
"Ahh-ahh," Izuku complained about the pain in his arms. Ochako was treating his injuries, and she wasn't being very gentle.
"Oh, shut it, this is all your fault," she said angrily. She still didn't understand why Izuku had done this again. He hadn't hurt himself in so long, but for some reason, he decided to do it again during a simple fight with Todoroki.
"Well, at least this time they weren't so bad," Izuku replied, looking down. In his defense, he was right. The injuries weren't that bad, at least they weren't like the first years. A few simple bandages and two visits to Recovery Girl and Izuku would be completely healed. But that was not Ochako's problem. She understood that Izuku had difficulties controlling his power and that there would be times when he would get hurt. What bothered Ochako was that it was in a simple match for a tournament.
Ochako grabbed Izuku's cheeks and lifted his face so he was staring at her. "Izuku, that's not the problem. I understand that you're going to get hurt yourself. After all, we are heroes and our lives are always at risk. What bothers me is that you don't have self-control. You don't need to try so hard for a fight in a simple tournament," Ochako said softly.
Izuku sighed. "You're right, please forgive me. There are times when I get carried away and lose control and when I realize it, it's already too late. I promise I'll get better." Ochako let go of his cheeks and took his hands in hers.
"I know, you haven't hurt yourself in almost a year and I'm relieved to know that you're trying to change for the better," Ochako told him with a smile on her face. Izuku smiled back. He really was lucky to have such a patient girlfriend.
Izuku's gaze was slightly distracted from Ochako's eyes to see the bandage on her right arm. "How is your wound?" Izuku asked.
Ochako let go of Izuku's hands and looked down at her wound. An injury that was sustained during the match against Mina during the Sports Festival. Ochako knew she would always have the disadvantage when it came to long-range quirk users. She had upgraded her suit to deal with those problems, but during the Sports Festival, she was not allowed to wear her suit, so she always felt disadvantaged. His best plan was to run towards Mina as soon as possible to close the distance between them and when she was close enough, use her jacket to block her vision and knock her out. The plan worked, but during the attack, some of Mina's acid fell on her right arm, leaving a slight wound, nothing serious, but she would still have to wear a bandage for a while. "Ah, if it's nothing serious, it will heal in a few days," Ochako said while stroking her right arm.
"Yes, I know" Izuku remembers that he ran to look for Ochako after the match and when he found her, he wasn't surprised at all. Ochako is trying to heal her wound by herself. Izuku, being Izuku, offered his help, which Ochako obviously refused, but Izuku didn't give up easily and, after a while, she accepted his help, so he began to treat her wound. Once he finished, he gave her a kiss on the cheek while telling her that she should stop being so stubborn and let herself be helped. That was one of Ochako's biggest problems. She doesn't like to feel like a burden, but the last thing she was for Izuku was that. "Ochako" was all he said to get his girlfriend's attention.
Ochako looked Izuku straight in the eye. While Izuku told her "Ochako I understand what you're feeling right now because I feel the same way when I saw your injuries, I'm not excusing myself I still have many problems to overcome but I'll be happy to know that every time I get hurt, either because of my hero work or by my own stupidity you will be there healing my wounds and helping me get up once more. I love you Ochako."
Seeing how Izuku spoke from his heart, Ochako decided to tell him something too "Izuku I am grateful to have you by my side I have always been stubbornly wanting to do everything by myself without the help of others because I have never wanted to be a burden but for some reason every time that you try to help me I can't stop admiring you more. The way you're willing to go one step further, even when it comes to someone as stubborn as me, fills me with happiness. I have problems to solve too, but I'll be glad to know that you are willing to be by my side regardless of them. I love you Izuku"
They both look directly into each other's eyes, with big smiles on their faces. And without realizing it, they close the gap between them and share a kiss. Yes, they both have problems that they have to solve, but if they have each other they can always overcome adversity.
