Baekhyun was pretty sure he’d been napping.
He’d gone straight to the apartment right after his two pm class. Right after changing and drawing the blinds (which were blackout curtains he’d bought specifically for afternoon naps,) he’d settled into bed to sleep. He’d closed his eyes and dreamed, he was sure. So why he was able to feel movement in the bed when he was supposed to be knocked out, he didn’t know. All he knew was that he wanted to sleep again.
Scrunching his face, he curled up and let out a tiny sound of protest at having been woken. It was his boyfriend who was climbing in behind him. Kyungsoo shouldn’t have gotten home until five, at least. No way Baekhyun napped for that long.
Kyungsoo pressed against his back and leaned over him to kiss his head softly. Baekhyun burrowed further beneath the covers.
“Baby.”
“Mm.”
“You’ve been sleeping for so long now. You’re still sleepy?”
“Mm.”
A breath of a laugh and Kyungsoo evidently gave up, though he rubbed Baekhyun’s side for a moment more, not expecting to have to move to avoid getting hit by Baekhyun stretching.
“Big stretch,” Kyungsoo praised softly as Baekhyun finished and turned to cuddle into his chest. Baekhyun liked how Kyungsoo automatically held him. It felt cosy and warm in his arms. He sighed. “Were you tired today?”
“Mhm. Really tired. I wanna nap more.”
He expected his boyfriend to convince him to get up. Instead, Kyungsoo kissed his hair and said, “Then let’s nap more.”
They settled into a comfortable silence.
After a beat, Baekhyun shifted. “I kind of don’t wanna nap anymore.”
Kyungsoo laughed. “What do you wanna do then?” he asked dotingly.
“Just cuddle. I don’t want to leave bed either.”
“Alright. Let’s cuddle, then.”
“I thought you would fight me more on this.”
“No.” Kyungsoo held him tighter and said, “I missed you. I want to cuddle with you.”
“Is that why you woke me up?”
“I’m sorry.”
Baekhyun smiled and shook his head. He struggled to keep his voice stern. “I won’t forgive you next time.”
“I’ll keep that in mind.”
It didn’t sound like Kyungsoo was taking him seriously. Oh, well. If it did happen again, it wouldn’t be too much of a bother. After all, waking up to his boyfriend’s cuddles wasn’t a bad way to wake up at all.
With that satisfied thought, Baekhyun settled in, content.
