Hi prompter, I hope you enjoy this story.

Chapter 1: Hoseok hate's Jungkook.

Chapter Text

Hoseok hated Jungkook’s guts. He was an annoying self-centered prick who would play with people’s feelings with no remorse, even as they cried in front of him. His favorite thing to do apparently is piss Hoseok off. It all started in elementary when Jungkook stole his favorite pencil. Safe to say, Hoseok never got it back, thus a war began in vengeance for his beloved pencil. From then on, Hoseok deemed Jungkook his mortal enemy. Call him dramatic, but that was one hell of a pencil.

“Hey, red!” Hoseok stopped at the god-awfully infuriating nickname, turning on his heel. There, in all his glory, stood an infuriatingly handsome jock. His varsity jacket hugged his biceps perfectly, a silly grin plastered on his stupidly handsome features. Hoseok believes he looks like an idiot.

“What do you want, Jeon?” Hoseok snapped, pout already settling on his features. Jungkook smirked, throwing his head back in laughter. What was so funny? Hoseok thought as he crossed his arms. Jungkook only called him red because everytime he gets angry, his face glows crimson.

“Saying my last name isn’t an insult, red.” He said before leaning against Hoseok’s locker. “I’m actually here to ask for a favor.”

“No! I will not sleep with you.” Hoseok grimaced, already walking away. Jungkook shook his head, following after the older.

“Not that kind of favor! As if, you aren’t even my type.” Hoseok rolled his eyes at the jock’s remark.

“I don’t need to help you with anything.”

“I’ll score you a date with my brother.” Jungkook bit his lip softly when Hoseok stopped in his tracks. Hoseok must admit, he had been crushing on the jock’s older brother for a while now.

He was a dream come true compared to Jungkook. His name was SeokJin, the most handsome senior of their school. Seokjin was everything that Jungkook was not. Kind to his admirers, helps people who need it and is the class representative.

“What makes you think he would like someone like me?”

“I’ll turn you into his type!” Jungkook said.

“What's in it for you?”

“I need you to tutor me for english, professor said that I only got four percent.” Jungkook covered his embarrassment with a cough, turning his head to the side. Hoseok couldn't hold back his laughter.

“Literally? F-four percent?” He belted out another rack of laughs, gaining a bit of attention from the passing students. “How are you so sutpid?”

“Hey!”

“I’m kidding, I’m kidding. Kinda…” Hoseok calmed himself down, speaking between giggles. Jungkook let out his own chuckles. “Okay, deal. If you can get me a date with your brother, I’ll get you at least fifty percent on the next exam.”

“Seventy-five.”

“That's a hard bargain you're pushing Jeon.” Hoseok smacked his lips, deadpanning at the jock. Jungkook didn’t seem to be backing down so he clicked his tongue. “Fine, throw in your watch and we have a deal.”

“Not my baby! Anything but her.” Jungkook held his wrist, shaking his head at the older male.

Hoseok checked the time on his new watch, wondering what was taking Jungkook so long. He should have been at the library by three thirty, yet he wasn’t in sight. Soon three thirty turned into four, then to four thirty, then six.

Hoseok calmly placed his books in his bag, feeling quite irritated at the time wasted. He held his bottle of juice in his hand, walking out with his head down before bumping into a broad chest. He stumbled back, about to let out a flurry of insults until he saw a familiar handsome face.

“Close your mouth before a bug flies in.” Terrible joke. But Hoseok let out soft giggles anyways. “My name is-

“Seokjin.”

“Oh, you know me?” Hoseok nodded softly, still dazed by his handsome face. Did I mention he was handsome? “May I ask your name? I have to put a name to a pretty face.” Seokjin didn’t miss the chance to flirt. Hoseok is cute, what can he say?

“I- Uh, Hoseok My name is Hoseok.”

“Pretty.” Seokjin pursed his lips into a flirtatious smile. “Well Hoseok, I have some errands to run. I’ll see you around?” Hoseok could only nod in response, mouth too dry to muster up a response. Seokjin chuckled softly, waving goodbye.

On his way back to the dorms, Hoseok couldn’t stop thinking about their little encounter. By the time he reached the building, he saw the jock rushing in, hickies scattered over his neck as his clothes were ruffled up.

“That punk…” Hoseok sprinted towards the younger. He wrapped an arm around his neck and pulled his head into a lock, ruffling his hair with his knuckles. “So you missed our session for some ass?” Jungkook winced, waving his arms everywhere.

“I’m sorry, I won't do it again!” Jungkook said between ragged breaths. Hoseok released him after some thinking.

“You’re the one that asked for my help, you’re lucky I even accepted your deal. You either take this seriously or leave me the fuck alone because I’m the one taking time out of my day to help you.”

“Sorry, red. I’ll come next time.” Jungkook hung his head low.

And next time he did. Jungkook showed up to the library, shocking everyone because he never really studies. Hoseok noticed the latter bumping into chairs and tables before he finally reached their table.

“You look out of it.” Hoseok said, eyes scanning the jock’s features. His eye bags were heavy and his hair was all over the place. “You look like you’ve been hit by a damn car.”

“I can’t see without my contacts.” Jungkook admitted.

“You don’t have specs?”

“I do.”

“Why don’t you wear them then?”

“Because they make me look like a dork.” Jungkook gritted through clenched teeth. Hoseok just about had it, slapping his forehead in plain annoyance. “What is it?”

“I’m looking at you like you're the biggest idiot on the planet.” Hoseok deadpanned, mouth turned into one of distaste. “You literally choose style over your fucking health.”

“I’m a jock, what can I say?”

“No, you’re a stereotypical idiot. Pack up, we’re going to your dorm.” Hoseok sighed, once again putting stuff into his bag.

“What, Why?”

“I can’t tutor you if you can’t see. Hurry.”

“Wow, It’s so clean.” Hoseok took his shoes off and placed the extra pair of slippers on. Jungkook did the same, placing his shoes in the cupboard. “No way, you have your own room?”

“Welcome to the room of the privileged.” Jungkook said sarcastically, walking towards his bedside drawer. Hoseok made himself comfortable in front of Jungkook’s couch, placing all of his materials on the coffee table. “It’s part of my sport’s scholarship.”

“Let me just get my- Wow.” Hoseok’s words died in his throat at the sight of Jungkook. Specs on hot guys was Hoseok’s weakness. Except he now hates his brain for even thinking Jungkook was even close to being hot. Okay he can admit, the jock was really sexy behind that big fat ego and lame jokes.

“Take a picture, it’ll last longer.” Ah there he is. Specs do not change the person, get a damn grip Hoseok. As the jock sat down, Hoseok quickly wiped the drool on his chin. “Your face is red. Did I piss you off already? Great! A new record.”

“S-stop being childish and start taking notes.” Hoseok spluttered, fanning his cheeks as Jungkook pulled out his notebook. “We will start with pronunciation.”

Time went by fast, and soon Four turned into eight. Jungkook had already gotten past the pronunciation stage since he was a quick learner. Hoseok was fairly impressed at the jock’s efforts.

“Okay, I’m going to test you.”

“Do I get a reward?”

“Yeah, you get to pass your next exam thanks to me.” Hoseok teased the younger. Jungkook pouted, putting up a front. He kept nudging Hoseok’s hand,  annoying the elder to his breaking point. “Fine! If you can score the highest in your lecture, I’ll treat you to dinner and the arcade.”

“Deal! I’m going to ace the hell out of the exam! Watch me, red. I’ll have my name on the top of the list!” Jungkook beamed, revealing his bunny-like teeth. Hoseok rolled his eyes.

“Please, it’ll take a miracle  to get you in the top 10.” Hoseok said, making Jungkook frown.

“I will get in the top 10.” Jungkook puffed out his chest. Hoseok had to bite back a laugh at the jock’s confidence. Instead of laughing, Hoseok’s stomach growled. He hid his face in embarrassment as Jungkook smirked at him. “Do you want to eat ramyeon?”

“In your dreams, perv!” Hoseok shouted, folding his arms over his chest. Jungkook let out a series of giggles, walking towards a small kitchenette. It could fit two built in stoves and a small bench, along with a mini fridge. It wasn’t much, but it was enough.

Hoseok watched over his shoulder as the jock made them a pot of ramyeon. He offered to cut the veggies but Jungkook refused, saying something along the lines of “Don’t want you to accidentally cut your pretty hands.” Yeah, it left Hoseok in a blushing mess as he replied with: “Stop being weird.” Leaving Jungkook to chuckle once more.

Hoseok hated him. His stupid chuckles, his stupid big humongous muscles- okay that’s a bit of a stretch. He hates the way his silly heart flutters in his chest every time he smiles, but let's just blame it on the allergies. And lord did he hate those specs. Those cursed specs that almost gave him cardiac arrest. He hates Jungkook.

“You finish having a silent tantrum or are you ready to eat, red?” Jungkook placed the pot of ramen on top of a piece of paper from his notes. Hoseok was simply handed over a bowl and chopsticks. “Eat, you need energy to walk back to your dorm.”

“Thanks.”

“Ooo is the big bad Hoseok warming up to little ol’ me.” Jungkook teased, earning a quick whack on his forehead. He was shocked at how fast Hoseok was, but what shocked him the most was Hoseok’s small smile. “IS THAT A– A SMILE?!”

“No, shut up. Eat your food before it goes cold.”

“But-

“Jeon.”

“Okay…” Jungkook sat silent for a few seconds longer. “You look pretty when you smile.”

Yeah. Hoseok hates Jungkook.

Hoseok met up with Jungkook a couple of days after their tutor session. He stood silently outside the dorm room, hesitating on knocking. Before his knuckles tapped on the wooden door, it swung open revealing a half naked Jungkook, abs on display. His hair was fluffy, eyes baggy as he yawned.

“Red, it’s seven in the damn morning and you’re making a ruckus. On a saturday.” Jungkook’s morning voice was hoarse, doing all sorts of things to Hoseok’s already fragile heart. The abs, the voice, the cute fluffy hair. Hoseok was an absolute goner.

“It’s midday, we’re supposed to meet up so you could turn me into Seokjin-ssi’s type.” Hoseok said after he cleared his throat, swallowing hard as he kept his gaze above Jungkook’s pecs. Jungkook leaned against the door, scanning Hoseok’s attire.

“He hates the color green so get rid of anything with that in your closet.” Jungkook said, eyes going past his green sweater and down towards his ripped jeans. “He thinks ripped jeans are overrated and tacky.” His eyes then landed on Hoseok’s ripped converses and widened. “Red, are you trying to get Jin-hyung to avoid you?”

“I like green though, and these jeans are my favorite pair. I can’t afford a pair of sneakers right now.” Hoseok fiddled with the hems of his green sweater. Pleasing Seokjin is going to be hard. “Maybe this is a bad idea, Seokjin would never like me the way I like him.”

“Confidence, Red. C’mere.” Jungkook dragged him inside the dorm, closing the door behind them. They stood in front of Jungkook’s body mirror, the jock behind Hoseok as he ran his fingertips along the outskirts of his body.

“Keep your posture straight. You’re a dancer, you should already know this.” Jungkook ran his fingers up along Hoseok’s spine, making the older shiver under his touch. “You’ve already got a great facial structure, very pretty.”

“Stop teasing me!” Hoseok pouted, turning into Jungkook's soft hold. Jungkook could only smile cheekily. Hoseok didn’t even realize the position they were in, and quite frankly, he didn’t mind.

“I’m not, Red. You’re pretty.” Jungkook slyly wrapped his hands around the dancer’s waist. “Flaunt it, make it known. Because your beauty should be shown off in museums.” Hoseok noted that both brothers are huge flirts.

“You are a bad flirt, Jeon.” Hoseok said, tapping lightly on the jock’s chest.

“We should probably get going now.” Jungkook cleared his throat, pulling away from Hoseok and leaving the latter confused. Usually Jungkook would come up with a snarky remark, piss Hoseok off more then go back to their game of bickering. Weird.

They drove to the mall in Hoseok's Mother’s car that he had borrowed for the weekend. Jungkook was silent  the entire ride, only giving one word answers to everything Hoseok said.

“Jeon, get the gum out of my pouch.”

“Here.”

“Thanks.”

“Do you mind getting my CD out of the glove compartment?”

“Kay.”

“Thanks.”

“Your outfit looks stupid today.”

“Cool.”

Hoseok pulled the car over, stopping right next to a convenience store. Jungkook shot him a confused glance, silently asking what they were doing there.

“You’re really pissing me off with these one word answers. What’s the matter?” Hoseok said,  turning in his seat. Jungkook sighed softly, leaning on the side of the door. “We can sit here all day if you’d like.”

“Promise you won’t tell anyone.” Jungkook spoke up. Hoseok was now the one giving him a confused glance, about to protest. “Promise.” Jungkook said once again.

“Fine, now spill.”

“My dad called me last night. Told me how worthless I was.” Jungkook let out a dry chuckle.”Well, not in those exact words, but he did tell me to drop baseball and pursue something else.”, “What he doesn’t know is that I already got scouted for The Jets.”

“Woah! That’s like, big!”

“I know, they’re coming to watch me play next saturday.”

“Wait, then why is he angry?”

“You know how parents are, Red.”Jungkook said with a sigh. Hoseok knew all too well, his father is the exact same. It was weird, bonding over something that aches their hearts. “I just want him to be proud of me, is that too much to ask for, Red?”

“It’ll never be too much.”Hoseok said softly. Jungkook hummed, his gaze falling from Red’s eyes towards his lips. “Mm, let’s stop being sappy now, Jeon. As much as I hate it, I miss the annoying version of you.”

“Well, in that case. Get me some banana milk.”

“Tch, brat.”

“Mmm, try the next outfit.” They were currently in one of the many clothing stores. Jungkook was icking out many outfits for Red, trying to find a perfect style that suits his brother’s taste.

“Can we take a break? We’ve been at it for two entire hours and my tummy is rumbling.” Hoseok whined as he pulled at the itchy turtle-neck. Jungkook shook his head, motioning the older to go back to the changing room.

Ten minutes passed, and Jungkook was waiting on one of the chairs. Hoseok finally stepped out, making the jock sigh in relief as he scanned his figure. His breath hitched as his eyes traveled up and down the dancer’s body. The turtle-neck was swapped for a white one, creating an innocent atmosphere alongside his eyes. A beige coat was draped around his shoulders, just over the yellow and black flannel. His eyes then traveled down towards Hoseok’s tight fitted jeans, black is the color.

He had to hold back the urge to stare as he cleared his throat and turned away. Those thighs are a sin, yet Jungkook wouldn’t mind committing. The pants hugged his figure perfectly, and all Jungkook could think about were”Thighs,Thighs,Thighs.”

“Can we go eat now?”

“After we do your hair up.” Hoseok groaned loudly, following Jungkook to the counter.

Two more long hours later…

“Sir, your boyfriend’s hair is ready.” An old hairdresser said politely towards Jungkook who dozed off.  “Red suits him pretty well.”

“He hates it when I call him Red.” Jungkook chuckled. The older woman smiled back, walking towards one of the hairdressing stations. Jungkook couldn’t see the dancer yet because another person was covering him.

“Okay, time to reveal.” The elder said as she removed the Sanex strip, helping Hoseok stand up from the seat. Hoseok spun around and the jock’s world felt like it had stopped. “So, how is it?”

“He looks beautiful ma’am, thank you.” Jungkook said, bowing to the women. Hoseok did the debby ryan movement as he bit his lip. (Lmaoooo hobi wild’n). “Come on, babe.” Jungkook teased as he led Hoseok out of the shop.

“Babe? That’s new.”

“They gave me a discount since I said it was for our anniversary.”

“You’re a menace.” Hoseok shook his head. As they kept walking he caught a glimpse of his reflection in one of the windows. He’s different. Conflicted, he ruffled his hair, not believing his eyes. “I look… Attractive?”

“Hmm? Did you say something, Red?” Jungkook asked as he stopped next to a fried chicken joint.

“Nothing. Let's eat,I’m starving.” Hoseok mumbled, rushing inside. Jungkook shrugged as he walked in after Red.

“Order as much as you want, it’s on me.” Jungkook says with the utter-most confidence. Hoseok beamed, searching the menu. He was definitely going to make Jungkook regret saying that.Going to make him regret stealing his favorite pencil.

Three bowls of marinated, crispy, and original chicken later.

“You literally only had two sips of soju and your piss-drunk!” Jungkook sighed, walking around the table to help Hoseok up. The red head slumped against Jungkook’s chest, a whine escaping his lips when his head hit the latter’s left boob.

Jungkook thanked the owner for the food before dragging the drunk-Hobi out  of the restaurant. Curse him for being a light-weight. Jungkook managed to get the dancer on his back so he could carry him to the carpark.

“Jungkookie~” Hoseok giggled lightly, burping in Jungkook’s ear. “I hate you so much.”

“Is that so?”

“Yeah. You’re the biggest jerk on the whole, entire planet.” Another burp. Jungkook laughed a little, hoisting the older one up as he slowly slid down. “You stole my pencil you- you THIEF! Oh my life, I'm With a criminal!”

“I’m not a criminal, Red.”

“Yes! You’re the big bad evil sexy *burp* Wolf! That’s why you call me Red.” Hoseok said, adding in some dramatic gasping. Jungkook let his head tip back softly as he let out an airy laugh.

“You think I’m sexy?”

“The sexiest boy ever. Unless you’re Jiminie because nobody is as sexy as Jiminie.”Hoseok slurred. Jungkook hummed in agreement. Nobody could ever top Jimin’s sexiness.

“Anything else you want to confess before the night ends?” Jungkook Jokes, expecting Hoseok to giggle along. Hoseok tilted his head backwards before knocking it against Jungkook’s. “Argh! What the heck, Red?”

“You’re trying to get secrets out of me!” Hoseok pouted, eyebrows furrowed as he gave a little evil glare at Jungkook’s head. “You will never find out that I had the biggest crush on you in 2nd grade!”

“Crush? You liked me?”

“Yeah! Then you stole  my precious pencil. Oh my life I’m with a criminal!” Hoseok gasped as Jungkook groaned. It was like a rollercoaster.

“Morning, Sunshine.” Yoongi, Hoseok’s lovely roommate, said from the couch. Hoseok gave him a small glare, flipping him off as he searched the fridge for something to calm his hangover down. “I made you some noodles, eat up.”

“Argh, what happened last night?” Hoseok asked as he sat on the floor with his warm noodles. He hummed in delight when the flavors melted on his tongue. Yoongi chuckled a bit, catching Hoseok off guard.

“Oh wouldn’t you like to know?”

“Hyung… How did I get home last night?”

“Our precious Jungkookie brought you back.” Yoongi smirked, placing the book he was reading on the nearby counter. Hoseok groaned, his mood already ruined at the mention of his name. “You might want to apologize for giving him a hard time. Especially with all of those love confessions.”

“WHAT!?” Hoseok spat some of the food in his mouth out onto the table. Yoongi grimaced as he passed the dancer some tissues to wipe his mess up. “You’re joking!”

“I wish I were.” Yoongi shrugged. Hoseok groaned loudly, drowning in his misery.

“Jeon.” Hoseok stood in the center of the diamond where the baseball team was training. Jungkook was training on his base-steals, running back and forth from the bases. “We need to talk.”

“Miss me already, Red?” Jungkook smirked, raking back the loose strands of hair dangling in his face. His sweat dripped down the side of his neck as he placed his cap on. Hoseok averted his eyes towards the bleachers. Curse you horny brain.”Boys, take five.”

“Okay well, I’m just going to say it.” Hoseok breathed in deeply before his eyes landed on Jungkook’s own. “I didn’t mean anything I said last night, they were just drunk words.” And Hoseok swore he could see the jock’s eyes lose a bit of color.

“Yeah, right.”

“Aha, we hate each other. That’ll just be weird.” Hoseok let out a humorless chuckle, lightly slapping Jungkook’s shoulder. “Besides, I like your brother.”

“Yeah, whatever. I’ll see you around, Jung.” The name rolled cooly between Jungkook’s pierced lip. Hoseok didn’t know how long he stood there for but he knew that he fucked up. Whatever, he must be having a bad day.

Hoseok hates Jungkook. He hates his every move, how he flirts with people that aren't him-  wait no! He hates his flirtatious comments. And lord does he despise the name Red. Hoseok hates Jungkook. Hoseok hates jungkook. Hoseok hates Jungko-

“Hoseok-ah!” A voice snapped him out of his silent dilemma. Seokjin, in all his glory. As always, he looked breath-takingly beautiful, maybe he’s god’s favorite. “It’s so hard to find you around campus.”

“Why don’t you just ask your brother?”

“He’s always brushing me off, so I never get the chance.” Jin said,  adjusting the books in his hold. “Anyways, I was wondering if you’d like to go to the game on saturday. With me.”

“With you?”

“As in like, a date?” Seokjin bit his lip, eyes focusing on the tip of his shoes. Hoseok was nearly astonished at the way the usually confident Senior is a blushing mess right now.  Except,he can’t seem to get Jungkook’s flat look out of his head. “Y-you can say no! I don’t mind”

“No- wait yes! I would love to go to the game with you.” Hoseok said, watching Jin’s frown turn into his usual bright grin. He  liked Jin. He was kind to everyone. He loves to study and he's handsome. He's everything Jungkook isn't. He doesn’t make Hoseok go crazy. He doesn’t call Hoseok Infuriating nicknames. And best of all, He is the student body president. He's the whole package.

Then why did it feel wrong to openly tell Jungkook that he wasn’t the least attracted to him because he “hates” The jock. Why did he feel hesitant to accept Jin’s offer though he had been waiting for the handsome male to ask him out. Why did he feel broken when Jungkook called him by his surname instead of Red.

“Great, I’ll see you then.”

“See you.”

Hoseok’s week had been quiet ever since he told Jungkook that he didn’t like him. They had both come to an agreement to cancel anything prior to the game since it was very important to the jock. And Hoseok, he wouldn’t miss the game for the world.

“Did you see who Jungkook gave his jacket to?” Hoseok’s ears picked up on the conversation, A bit curious on what the two students were talking about. “I heard that he gave it to Somi!”

“Lucky!”The student groaned. Hoseok was about to leave until the student said another thing  that piqued his interest. “I heard that if he  gives you his varsity Jacket, you’re next on his list!”

Hoseok felt physically sick as he slammed his locker and left. No fucking way. Jungkook would never. He locked himself in his dorm and cried silently. He didn’t  know why, but he knew the cause of his tears.

Nightfall rolled around quickly, and Hoseok was dressed up from head to toe. He was wearing red and white, the colors of their school team.

“You sure you don’t want to come, hyung?” He called out from his and Yoongi’s shared bathroom. “It’ll be a really authentic experience.”

“I’m fine, Hoba. Joonie is coming over later.”

“Okay, text me if you need anything!” Hoseok  smiled, walking out of his dorm. The night-breeze brushed against his back as  he walked towards the school stadium. The crowd was full of laughter and joy, the cheerleaders doing some routines. Then finally the baseball team was out.

“Here, I brought us some hotdogs.” Jin handed Hoseok the food before seating himself down on the bench. Hoseok thanked  him before sitting down as well. “Jungkookie will be so happy that appa came!

Hoseok stopped what he was doing, watching Jungkook jog into  his direction. As he was about to open his mouth to greet him, Jungkook walked right past him and towards the girl that wore his jacket.Hoseok felt something crack inside his chest as he stood up and walked away, ignoring Seokjin’s calls.

Stupid Jungkook. Stupid fucking feelings. And most of all, stupid, idiotic fucking heart. He swayed across the bleachers, trying his best not to trip over and cause a scene.

Half an hour before the game…

“Kook, you aren’t focused! You can’t go out on the pitch like this.” Yugyeom said as he watched the captain shove his belongings into one locker. Jungkook slammed the locker shut, causing a loud echo ring throughout the changing rooms.

“I’ll meet you all out there for our quick warm-ups.” Jungkook shoved his  way out of the locker rooms. Yugyeom merely sighed, following the captain’s actions.

Jungkook did some quick jogs around the diamond, trying his best to stay focused. It was an important day for him, the scouts were right there. Hoseok invaded his thoughts with his stupid comments, his stupid face, his stupid smile hat makes Jungkooks heart skip many beats. Maybe he should get that checked.

Speaking of the devil, he saw the newly red-head sitting in the second row. Next to Seokjin. He didn’t know what possessed him to start walking, he needed to focus! Jungkook watched the older male's eyes go wide before he walked past him. Somi stood up off her chair, about to embrace Jungkook before the jock pushed her hand away.

“I’m sorry, but I need the jacket back.”

“W-what?”

“I want to give it to someone who is important to me.” Jungkook said. Somi, though disappointed, nodded nonetheless. Jungkook thanked her before apologizing once again.

“Don’t worry dude, I hope you get your red riding hood.” She said, nudging his shoulder. Jungkook smiled before turning back towards the red-head. Confusion bubbles up when he can only see his brother.

“Hyung, where’d red go?”

“He just ran off, I’m not sure where though but i know that he headed towards the art classes.” Jin said. “Is everything okay? Why do you look so worried?”

“Can you stall the coach for a bit, I need to do something important.” Jungkook didn’t give Jin time to answer before he went sprinting towards the art block.

Hoseok whimpered quietly, curled up against the corner of one of the many classrooms in the school. He was frustrated, rocking back and forth lightly. The paint on his cheeks was fading, running down his face as it mixed with his falling tears.

Everything hurts. Get a grip Hoseok, you’re the sunshine of the group. Stop crying .  The pressure was getting to him as he sobbed loudly into his arms. Jungkook had managed to pull every single heart-string in Hoseok’s body.

“Red! C’mon please be in there.” The door handle jiggled a bit before it was swung open. Hoseok jumped back in shock, seeing the jock’s face laced over with panic. “Red, are you in here?”

Hoseok couldn’t hold it back as he let out a string of whimpers before belting out a loud cry. Jungkook squinted his eyes before feeling around the dark, occasionally bumping into some  desks. Once he felt a bob of hair, he grinned, crouching down.

“C’mere.” Jungkook pulled the older’s head into his chest, rubbing the top as he cried his heart out. Jungkook took his varsity jacket off his shoulders before throwing it over Hoseok’s own. “Aw, I didn’t know my Red was a cry-baby.” Jungkook chuckled lightly when Hoseok hit his chest.

“You jerk. I hate you so much.” Hoseok mumbled into his shoulder, wrapping his arms around the jock. Jungkook shook his head, getting into a more comfortable position beside the Red. Hoseok lifted his  head, face full of red paint and tear streaked cheeks. “Why are you here? Don’t you have a game to play?”

“The games are not worth winning unless your heart is on the line.”

“Oh you’re so bad.” Hoseok giggled, pulling the jacket back over his shoulders once it started to slip off. Jungkook smiled, making Hoseok gulp before turning away. “I-I think I have some feelings for you.” Jungkook was about to speak up before Hoseok cut him off.

“D-don’t say anything until I’ve finished talking.” Hoseok whispered as the jock did a zip-locking motion against his mouth. “You annoy me to no end. You make me angry every time you flirt with someone, adding them to some non-existent list. You make me want to rip my fucking hair out, and worst of all, YOU STOLE MY PENCIL!”

“You’re never going to let that go are you?”

“Nope, that was one heck of a pencil.” Hoseok grinned, now fiddling with the hems of the jacket. It was warm. “I tried to convince myself that I hated you. But your dumbass seemed to sneak back into my heart.”

“Hey!”

“Anyways.  You took my heart and gave it a home. Or whatever Madison Ryan Ward said.” Hoseok stopped playing with the jacket sleeve once Jungkook intertwined his fingers with Hoseok’s. “If I’m being honest, I never stopped liking you.”

“Five years.” Jungkook said, confusing Hoseok. “Five years I’ve waited for you to say those words to me. Five years of trying to get your attention and all I had to do was stop calling you Red?” Jungkook shook his head as Hoseok pouted deeper than before. “Maybe I should stop calling you Red from now on.”

“No.”

“No, what?”

“Call me Red.”

“On one condition.”

“Anything.”

“Call me yours.”

“I’d like that.” Hoseok smiled, leaning in for a kiss. Jungkook impatiently tugged  the red-head closer, connecting their lips. The kiss started out awkward, both trying to find a rhythm before they eased in and let themselves go. Hoseok tilted his head, letting the jacket fall from his shoulders as he pushed forward.

The end.

Go to the next chapter for Jk’s POV.
