Summary
Jeongguk can’t explain it but there’s something about the room that makes him suddenly calmer. Maybe it’s the fresh smell of detergent all around him, or maybe it’s the small potted plants on the desk by the window. Or, maybe it’s Hoseok, who is more than kind to him despite Jeongguk being the worst person alive.

jeon jungkook moves to a beach city for the rest of college — forced to work part time at the local tourist shop.
where he, inevitably, meets hoseok, a paddleboarder who loves the sea more than anything. that is, of course until he meets jungkook, who changes his perspective on everything.

“Good morning, Jungkookah,” murmurs Hoseok above him, his voice pitchy with sleep. He strokes the length of Jungkook’s hair and it’s somehow more intimate than the thousands of times he’s done it before.
“Good morning, hyung,” Jungkook presses another few kisses to Hoseok’s throat and shifts up - Hoseok tangles fingers into the hair at the base of Jungkook’s neck.
Jungkook looks at Hoseok, and something deep in his belly twists and growls. It’s crazymaking to know someone for so long and still be thrown for a loop by them, but it happens all the time - with Hoseok. Jungkook will look at him—at dance practice, before a concert, across from him at dinner, falling asleep in bed—and fuck. Hoseok’s easy, familiar glow pierces him right in his chest.
