Work Text:
In comparison to Denki, Hanta and Eijirou, Mina was the cleanest. She was messy at times sure and she wasn't the neatest person alive but she was overall a clean and hygienic person, which was why Katsuki let her and only her from his friend group come in contact with his bed.
"I'm 1023 words in," Mina said, rubbing the top of her head and yawning. She was on Katsukis bed, leaning against its headboard with her laptop on her lap. She turned to Katsuki who was sitting at his desk hunched over his laptop. "You?"
"Fuck," he muttered with a disappointed look. "878."
Triumph beamed on Mina's face. "Aw, don't beat yourself up about it Bakugo, we're supposed to be partners after all."
"Shut up. I'm tired."
Mina would usually retaliate with her smart ass comebacks but she too was tired. It was late in the afternoon and it was the end of a tiring week. She could sleep but wanted to stay up seeing as it was Friday, plus Katsuki was a strict assignment partner, dragging the girl away from whatever she was doing to complete their task.
"How you doing with yours? You covering everything you need to cover?" Katsuki asked.
"Yeah," she answered, looking back to her screen, "It's 2000 words right? I think 900 words is more than enough to cover part C and part D so I'm good. Do you need any of my notes?"
"Lemme have a look."
Mina passed her his notebook just as he passed her his and she got the message to check his in case she needed it too.
They sat in silence as they read each other's notes, Katsuki taking a picture of a certain area of Minas book. Mina found nothing she needed from Katsuki, already covering an efficient amount of the work herself.
"All good?" She asked when they returned each other's things.
"Tch, yeah." He muttered and Mina rolled her eyes with a knowing smile. As she did, her eyes clicked back to Katsukis chest where a nice gleaming silver chain sat, hanging around his neck. It looked clean and neat, shimmering from the sun that peaked through the Katsuki window.
Mina was a bitch for jewelry, and she was around Katsuki almost every day so she should've noticed this before, but since she hadn't, she concluded that he had just gotten it.
"That's a nice chain." She said, staring at it.
Katsuki looked at her then down to it. "Oh, yeah."
"It looks like real silver."
"Yeah it is."
Mina's eyes went wide. "Shit, really?"
Katsuki nodded as he reached behind him and unhooked the chain, taking it off and holding it out. It clinked silently as he did, screaming wealth. Mina observed it, reaching out and touching it. It was real alright, cold and thick with weight. And it was pretty.
"I always forget your parents are loaded." She said to herself and Katsuki scoffed, making her frown at him.
"They didn't get for me, Ten did."
Mina smirked. "Oh?"
Katsuki rolled his eyes. He and Tenya Iida had been dating for almost 4 months now. The class found out 2 months ago, and it shook them to their cores. It was unexpected and completely out of the blue but as time went on the class began to see how much sense the two made.
They were sweet and had their own pace and were both private and loud about their relationship. On countless occasions they'd hold hands as they walked but then there were times where all they needed was to just sit in each other's presence.
"A birthday present?" Mina asked, "Wait, your birthday is in April. We're in August right now.."
"Nah."
"So he just got it for you as a gift? Aw, that's so sweet."
"Fuck you, I don't need to be pampered." Katsuki said childishly. "I got this chain anyway, not him."
Mina frowned. "Then why did you say..?
Katsuki looked away. "Well, I mean I got the chain myself, just with his money."
Mina blinked and raised her eyebrows, leaning forward. " His money?"
"It's his fault. He's the one who gave me the card."
"A card ? Bakugo."
"Yeah," Katsuki shrugged, "he just gave me a card to by shit with."
Minas' jaw was now dropped. Katsuki grabbed his wallet from behind his laptop and opened it, pulling out a dark blue very shiny card with the word 'platinum' on it. Mina gawked at it as he held it out for her to see. He took it back quickly and Mina frowned.
"Thats fucking platinum Bakugo," Mina breathed out. "Holy shit. This is husband shit."
Katsukis eyes went wide as his cheeks turned red. "Shut up. What the fuck? Shut up."
Mina was too in awe to tease his blush. "Have you gotten anything else with it? Though to be honest I don't peg you to be a materialistic person."
"Hey I can be materialistic. My parents are fashion designers for fucks sake."
Minas eyes went wide instantly with a gleaming smile. "Oh my God," she squealed, "clothes! Bakugo please tell me you've bought clothes!"
At that he stood up and made his way to his closet, Mina jumping off his bed in excitement to follow him. He opened the closet door and pulled out a dark brown leather jacket.
"Holy fucking shit!" Mina shouted. She grabbed the sleeve and rubbed it against her thumb and fingers. "This looks so cool!"
"I got these too," Katsuki said and shoved the jacket into Minas arms, bending over to grab something at the bottom of his closet.
Mina impatiently peeked over his shoulder and stepped back when he pulled out a pair of shoes. They were clean and looked unused, black and white, sporting a popular logo on the side.
"Oh my God they would look so good together." Mina looks in between the shoes and jacket.
"I know, why do you think I bought them?" Katsuki said with a smirk. He then gives Mina a serious look. "Don't tell the others about this, they're gonna bother me about it. This is just me and Tenya."
"Oh yeah," Mina nods, "my lips are sealed. Just promise to show me whatever you buy." She holds the jacket and admires it. "Maybe I should date Iida.."
"No." Katsuki immediately says, taking the jacket and putting it back into his closet. "Plus he's gay so I don't see how that would work."
"Is Tensei gay?"
"I dunno. Plus he's an adult so what the fuck?"
Mina sighs. "Oh, to be dating a rich person. I wonder if Momo does this for Jirou."
