And for the first time hawkmoth got it. Getting Ladybug to break took a lot but somehow every time she would get back up. There was always someone who helped put her back together.
Chat Noir.
It was Chat Noir who encouraged her to keep trying when all seemed lost. It was Chat Noir who comforted her. It was Chat Noir who stayed by her side no matter what.
Taking down Ladybug was hard and it was even harder because she always managed to get back up. But now he gets it.
Taking down the head is only a part of the solution. Get her to crack, get her to break, get her to crumble but the heart needs the head and the head needs the heart.
Chat Noir needs Ladybug, everyone can see that. But everyone forgets, including Hawkmoth himself, about just how much Ladybug needs Chat Noir.
Ladybug fails, Chat Noir helps her set things right. Ladybug gives up, Chat Noir convinces her to stay. Ladybug cries, Chat Noir wipes her tears away.
Chat Noir was the common denominator. But the answer is clear now: to take down the head he needs to take down the heart.
