Work Text:

The ticking of the clock, some cars outside and some sounds far away that you could not identifty.
It was a slow process of waking up.
Your nose was a little bit runny and your head felt kinda dizzy.

Pulling the blanked down, you tried to test if it was just the warmth that caused you to feel ill, but the second the cold air of the room came in contact with your face properly, you shivered.
Actually, Lee Know was supposed to be laying next to you, but beside the messy blanket and scrunched pillow the mattress was empty.
It was still early, even for you two, both considered a morning person, so you did not think he would be out already.

Slowly you got out of bed, putting on the coziest socks and a random jacket that was on the chair in your room.

The cold made your body feel uncomfortable, therefore you did not expect to fall asleep anyway.
You still felt tired, really exhausted to be honest.
So you arrived in the kitchen, however you could not bring yourself to actually do anything.
'What would he like to have for breakfast?', you thought.
'Maybe he just wants to grab something outside, he mentioned that one bakery that just opened down the street.', you considered.

Two arms wrapped around your waist, his head lowered, resting on your shoulder.
Automatically your hands were placed on his where you could feel the sweater paws that he usually had when he felt cuddly.

You held onto the soft fabric, playing with it between your fingers when he asked:''Why are you awake, baby? It's only 6...''
He muffled the last part in your shoulder where his face snuggles into.
The fabric of your jacket as well as your shirt were pulled down a bit by his action, so that his face was touching your bare skin.
''Why you're cold?'', he asked confused and pulled away, signaling you to turn around by placing his hands now on your hips.
You just too a step forward, leaning onto his body, circling your arms around his torso.
He felt warm.
You felt his hands on your back, slowly starting to give your shoulders a soft massage.
''You're muscles are so tense. Are you still stressing out, because of that stupid dream? You know I won't leave you.'', he stated.
''I know. It's not the dream, I just feel a bit unwell, I don't know.'', you mumbled.
''Hmm. Let's go back to bed then.'', he suggested.

*

He lied down, opening the blanket for you, expecting you to come and hug him.
When you plopped onto the bed, sitting in front of him, not doing anything, he furred his eyebrows in confusion.

He sat up, looking at you and asked:''Something wrong?''
You shook your head slowly to not make your headache feel worse and to signal him a 'no'.
'What is it then?', he asked, completely confused due to your lack of explanation.
You took a deep breath, your eyes teary from feeling sick.
'My head hurts.', you managed to whisper.
His look of confusion switched to worry.
He knew how you behaved when being sick, when every touch was too much and every move made the room spin.

'You really don't feel well.', he said, not implying that he did not believe you earlier, but in realization of your state.
He leaned forward giving you a forehead kiss and got up from the bed, now standing next to you with the blanket in his hand.
'Lie down.', he instructed and so you did.
He immediately placed the blanket on top of you, tucking in the sides, unwrapping the fluffy blanked he used at night and placed it on top of the first thicker blanked, because you liked to hold onto something.

You rolled over on your side and groaned quietly, being almost half asleep again, not having the energy to do or say anything, while your head was throbbing.

'Sleep for a bit, baby.', he said with a low voice before he walked to the door for leaving to the living room, so that you could rest comfortably.
'Thank you.', you whispered, appreciating how understanding he was.
