Chapter Text
One day while Sykkuno was playing on Nopixel offline, a strange noise was happening outside the door of his apartment. After a while, Sy made the shape of a reflection of a man on his computer screen. Before he could turn around, he heard someone panic behind him before knocking him out. While being consumed by darkness, Sykkuno wished to see the CleanBois for the last time. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a flash of light from the computer lit the room and both the burglar and he were sucked into the game. Sy opened his eyes again to see he’s now standing on the ocean side of Los Santos. He checked his phone and the year said 202*?? He looked down to see the reflection of an unshaved and unkempt Yuno Sykk staring right back at him in the water. How was he in Nopixel? How long has it been in Los Santos since he was last here?
He ran his hand through his dirty clothes with unbelief. Yuno's face lit up with an idea and pinched his arm, hoping it would confirm his theory but ended up feeling pain. He stood there for half an hour just staring at the ocean, wishing this was just a dream. His phone wasn't working so he couldn't call or use the GPS until he could buy a new one. Yuno missed everyone and knew he was definitely far away from town. He knew he couldn't just stand there looking at the ocean forever so he walked alongside the road ahead till he could recognize where he was. After an hour of walking along the Great Ocean Highway, he finally made it into Paleto Bay. Yuno was pretty mad because no one wanted to drive him up here because he looked homeless and dirty.
Yuno walked along the streets, passing by houses along the seaside, finally making it in front of his stash house. Luckily, he had Yuno's stamina because, compared to Yuno, he was always at home playing video games so walking a few hours was no problem. He might even be able to practice Muay Thai like he used to a long time ago. If he is going to live in Los Santos, he needs to learn self-defense on the side. Don't want to test if you can respawn from death, which is probably unlikely. He walked up, searched his pockets, and found his keys. Opening the door to take a peek inside, he saw that it looked exactly like how it was left. Did Dreah keep the stash house the same for that long? He walked up towards the fridge and took out some food to eat. After finishing his food, he made his way to the bathroom to shower and freshen up. He stared at his tattoo on his hip, which he just remembered he had and his eyes started to water almost out of nowhere.
The situation he was in didn't fully set in till now. He was away from home, family, and friends, stuck in some sort of alternate universe that looks like Los Santos. Am I ever going to make it home? The only thing Yuno could do was cry in the shower, feeling his world fall apart without control over it. He promised himself he wouldn't cry again but this was beyond anything he's ever experienced. This feeling of hopelessness was the worst thing in the world. After showering for what felt like forever, he wiped his tears with new resolve. Nothing is ever hopeless, nothing is set in stone; he will relearn everything and use what he knows to survive in this city. If he lives in fear for the rest of his life, he will regret not standing up to fate's door. He walked out of the shower, wrapping a towel around himself. After shaving his face and with one last look in the mirror at his unrecognizable body, he headed towards his room to change into some clothes.
Yuno didn't want to look recognizable right now because he is in a dangerous place filled with gangs. He looked at some clothes, wondering what he should wear. He picked a random dark shirt and his usual black pants with the chain on the side. Lastly, some black gloves, non-glowing shoes, and a black helmet. Yuno looked in the mirror, satisfied with his clothes. Maybe I should ask someone for a lock pick. He walked out of the stash house and wandered around till he ran into a person.
"Hey! Can I get a ride in your car, please?!" Yuno continued to wave his hands towards the person that was driving past him. The car suddenly came to a halt with the screeching noise of his tires. The driver's side door opened to reveal a man in a suit and mask. He looked really important, not just because of what he was wearing but his car looked really expensive. It looked like an overseas car from the tuner shop.
"Need a ride?" The man smiled while leaning against the door. Yuno responded with a delay, surprised at his sudden politeness. "..oh, oh yes, I'm kind of stranded up here without a phone so I was wondering if I could get a ride back to town to buy a new phone if you don't mind." The man smiled again and said it was not a problem at all. They both went into the car and drove their way to town.
"I never said thank you but thank you very much, sir...?" Yuno paused as if to ask the name he should call him for future reference. "Oh, you can just call me Alastor." He smiled unusually wide. Well, he isn't creepy at all... shirrrly i won't die on this ride.. shirrrly. "Well, thank you for the ride... I can be dropped off right here. This is already far enough. I can make it the rest of the way." Yuno smiled hurriedly. "Are you sure? I don't mind riding further." Alastor looked at Yuno with a closed-eyed smile. Yuno noticed the speed of the car was picking up and he started to get a bad feeling. He couldn't really point at why but Alastor, if that's his real name, was giving him bad vibes.
"No really. I need to do something before I go into town nearby. You can just drop me off." Yuno knew he was being unnecessarily paranoid but he knew he could trust his gut. "Okay, okay. I'll drop you off right here. Hope you make the rest of the way safely" Alastor stoped the car on the side of the road. "Thank you for the ride Alastor!" Yuno quickly made his way out the car walking fast across the street to not look too panicked. He watched the strange man ride off making sure he wouldn't follow. Yuno finally smiled feeling his adrenaline settle. He pulled out a lock pick from his back pocket. How did he get his hands on one? well he might have "borrowed" it from the scary man.. HEE
Yuno made his way to a parking lot to steal a car that would be good enough to make his way back in town to buy a phone at Digital Den. The only car available is the three wheeled car?? You got to be kidding me.. Yuno lock picked the car twice and carefully drove it into town with both doors open for balance when taking turns. Ever so often he'd flip accidentally so it took longer than expected to get there. He made his way inside Digital Den and looked around with excitement. He still couldn't believe he was actually in THE Los Santos. An employee thought he was lost so he asked the customer what he was looking for.
"Oh, Im looking for a phone to buy. How much does it cost?" Yuno pulled out some cash from his pockets and gave the employee 200 dollars. The man came back from the counter with a fresh phone in hand. "Thank you!" Yuno headed out the store with his new phone and into his beat up three wheeled car. He looked at his contacts and all the contacts were still there surprisingly. Mmnh, I could call Mister lang... but what would he say? Is everything in this city the same way as the one I played in? Am I still in the Cleanbois here?? Yuno started to worry and over think. Am I even ready to do crime? Doing things in person is way harder than in game. I don't have a controller or keyboard to control the character for me.
Yuno drove to the apartments to pick up his Sultan to drive back up to Paleto Bay. He was second guessing how ready he was to meet up with them. While driving his Sultan out the parking space he heard a person shouting his name. "YUNO!! IS THAT YOU MATE??" Yuno was freaking out because he knew that voice from anywhere.. It was Dundee. Yuno pulled out fast and drove away hoping he wouldn't be seen by anyone yet. Yuno had a feeling that his presence being surprising was more of a tell of what was going on. I must have been missing for a long time because Dundee doesn't ever sound that desperate to know where I am. Wouldn't be too surprising, the year here is 2023. If Dundee sees me now he'll for sure tell Lang and the bois where I am.
Yuno took a few quick turns before Dundee made it into his own car and lost him. After a few seconds to reassure he wasn't seen, Yuno let go a breath he didn't know he was still holding. He quickly drove out of town up to Paleto Bay hoping no one else would recognize his car on the way. As days passed, he settled more and more up in Paleto Bay growing scared to go back into town. To pass time, Yuno exercised at a nearby small gym and often played a few songs he knew on a Guitar he bought. The more time passed the more he tried to occupy himself with learning how to play the guitar better or to hone self defense better with Muay Thai. Maybe I'll feel more confident about being relied on by the bois for crime again.
Months past by of him staying low and one day he just couldn't take it anymore. He made small talk with people in the Farmers Market ever so often when buying food. He played the Guitar till his fingers got calluses. He exercised and learned till he could jumping high kick in the air till it was a piece of cake but nothing was doing it. He can knock most people with just a punch. His aim with a gun is very very good. He even picked up some things on the side like getting way better at hacking till the 11 x 11 thermite was a cake walk.
My skills improved so much, so why am I still so scared to go back into town?
