Ayato comes home at 12:37 am today, not like Thomas keeping track or anything.
His eyes look a little redder today and his head a little heavier.
Today he went to a big important meeting, all the head commissioners were there, him being the youngest.
For that reason, they always ignored him and he was just.. there.
Today he went in with a minor headache and left with his head spinning.
He walked to the kitchen, not having eaten and saw Thoma, sitting on his computer doing archons know what.
This time though, instead of being emmersed in his laptop, he greeted Ayato.
“Welcome back, Lord Kamisato! How was your meeting?”
He groaned in response, he was getting sick of all this work.
He went and sat next to Thoma, his head on his shoulder peering at the screen.
Thoma was looking a cat video compelations, probably (definitely) waiting for his master to come back safely.
Ayato forced himself up and went through the fridge until he found a bowl of Thomas cooking with a note that said “For Lord Kamisato on arrival”.
Thoma always did this and Ayato loved it.
He sat next to Thoma again, slowly eating the food and watching the cat videos.
“Rough day, my Lord?”
“You could say, under all this pressure i might just break haha”
He wasn’t joking, not this time.
“With all due respect, why can’t Lady Ayaka do any work with you, My Lord?”
“I wouldn’t dare put my sister under this sorts of pressure, also when we are alone like this Thoma, would you please call me Ayato?”
“O-of course M- Ayato” Thoma said, a bit caught off guard.
“Thoma, can we please..” the last part hushed.
“Sorry, My L- Ayato, i didn’t catch that?”
“Thoma, can you accompany me to my room?” cheeks flushed, Ayato couldn’t believe what he was about to ask his retainer.
“of course, My Lord!”
“Please stop the formalities when we are alone, it remindes me of my responsibilities” he… whined?
Lord Ayato just whined?
“We should head to bed then, Ayato”
“okay”
They walked up together and changed into night clothes, Thoma in shorts and a hoodie and Ayato in sweatpants and a tee-shirt.
Ayato summoned Thoma once they were done.
“Yes, Ayato?”
“Come”
Ayato was sitting in bed, his fatigue painfully apparent.
As thoma came up to him, Ayato pulled him into his bed and hugged him.
“Is this okay?”
“Yes, of course Ayato.”
He wiggled into a more comfortable position.
“Are you okay?”
Ayato had tears fall down his face, he was so stressed this week but being with Thoma made him feel better.
“Mhm”
“I love you, Thoma…”
“I-I do too”
Fatigue finally hit him as he dozed off, Thoma following suite.
