As the last doors of consciousness begin to close, the drowning jiaoren can’t help but wonder why he chose that memory to be his last. He wonders what ever happened to that child, and who he had grown up to become.
POTENTIAL NOVEL SPOILERS
This has probably been done before, but an au inspired by Starember's mermaid au art and jiaoren mythology.
Basically, pirate Hua Cheng must protect mermaid Xie Lian from those attempting to steal his tears while racing against the clock to find an antidote for a cruel poison stealing Xie Lian's life away.
