Before, all Toni had wanted to do was get good grades and excel in basketball. But, not long into the school year, all Toni wants is Shelby fucking Goodkind. Shelby is not what Toni had expected in a roommate. She's all pink and 'sunshine-and-lollypops'; she's a cheerleader; she's from Texas; she's annoyingly optimistic. But worst of all, she's beautiful and intoxicating and Toni can't understand why she is so attracted to her. But in Toni's mind, Shelby is the kind of person that she NEEDS to hate--but can't--and also the kind of person she can never have.
Shelby is gay. She has known that for a while, but nobody else does. After faking her way through high school, she thought she could finally allow herself to be free. However, that proves to be harder than she thought...at least until she meets Toni, her roommate, who Shelby is almost certain hates her. Toni is fiery and cocky and aggravating and...and yet Shelby wants nothing more than to kiss her. She doesn't know what to do. She's torn between following the rules that her parents had engraved into her brain since she was little or breaking them all to be who she really is.
