Wish I could turn back time

Summary:

Glamrock freddy remembers his past, back when he was Michael at the birthday party. And of course, he remembers his younger brother Gregory, and what happened all because of himself.

Work Text:

"A Mr HIPPO magent!!" The brunette huffed, shaking his head as he rolled his eyes. "Lame!!" His voice dropping a bit at the end.

Gregory's tone of voice brought Freddy back. Back to when he wasn't possessing an animatronic. Back when Gregory was a... human. Back when he was 15, and Gregory was 8. It was Gregory's 8th birthday party, and Michael and his at the time friends were talking to eachother about how they'd prank Gregory.

Michael, being a stupid impulsive teen suggested to grab Gregory and make the animatronic Fredbear 'give him a kiss'. They all whistled and hollered as they thought it would be hilarious. They knew Gregory was a bit afraid of the animatronics; atleast getting close to them is what he didn't like.

So, the group of the teens put on animatronic masks to help scare him, and they all then approached little Gregory; well... they snuck up on him. Michael poked him, a grin on his face as he exclaimed, "BOO!".

Gregory turned around and saw the foxy mask, and he screamed, his heart thumping as he jumped back, startled. The whole group laughed, and Michael giggled, "Hey bro! Since it's your birthday, don't you want a *special* gift from your favvvorite animatronic, Fredbear?"

His other friends glanced down at Gregory, smiles hidden under their animal masks. Gregory sniffled, shaking his head as he mumbled, "no!". He knew his brother and his friends were up to no good.

Michael just exclaimed, "Oh cmon, Greg! You knoww you want to! Cmon; fredbear wants to give you a kissss!!" He nudged Gregory towards the main stage.

On it were two animatronics, the closer one being Fredbear, the other being Spring Bonnie.

"NonoNO!" Gregory started screeching as he felt Michael then pick him up. He tried kicking away, but Michael was stronger than him.

The whole world seemed like a blur to the poor kid. He heard the unison of laughter erupting from his brother and his friends. He felt his upper body going numb from the way Michael was picking him up and lifting him up. He saw the blur of a yellow bear, mouth agape as the other bunny animatronic was singing something he couldn't make out. Michael put his head up to Fredbear's mouth, making kissy noises as one of his friends exclaimed, "awwh he looooves you!", breaking out into giggles.

Michael shoved him a little more upwards, Gregory wincing in slight pain as his head hit the top of fredbears teeth. Michael hummed, "he's saying happy birthday to you, greg!!" Then suddenly, springbonnie stopped singing. And everything. Everything moved in slow motion.

Fredbear opened his mouth more, and with a sickening crunch, his jaw slammed down, a cheerful tune playing out of his chest speaker, muffled. The smiles on the teens' faces soon got wiped off, and they all gasped, their stomachs twisting. After a couple of seconds when all came to realization, all of his friends shouted at the top of their lungs, running the opposite direction, one of them quickly pulling their phone out of their pocket, calling emergency services. Their masks fell to the floor, and they hid in an empty party room.

Michael let out a blood curdling scream, twacking the side of fredbears face, trying to push its jaw up. It soon lifted, and he quickly tugged Gregory free. And then he realized part of his damn head had been bitten off, left inside the animatronic's mouth. He screamed once again, ripping his shirt off to tie around Gregory's head. As he dug around his pockets for his phone, two employees ran into the room hearing the screams.

One of them shouted, "what's going on in h-" and yelled as they noticed what happened.

The other realized, and let out a gasp, covering their mouth. "Holy shit!" The first one yelled. The other one grabbed her phone out of her pocket, panicking as she exclaimed nervously, "I'm calling an ambulence!" She did so, and while she did, the other ran over to Michael and Gregory.

He crouched down, quickly feeling for a heartbeat. There was a faint one. He told Michael to move, and he started to do chest compressions to keep his heart beat steady. Michael watched in horror, glancing down at his hands that were stained red from when he put his shirt on his head. Gosh, he felt sick. He quickly ran over to the nearest trashcan, vomiting into it. He staggered up, trying to ignore the heavy smell of blood and fresh brain. This couldn't be real. What the fuck has he done??

-"eddy.. Freddy, are you ok?" A voice droned in.

From that day on, he had nonstop nightmares about the birthday party. He had nightmares where he thought he was awake, in his room on his bed when suddenly he would see his younger brother across from him, just standing there, half his head gone. Brains hanging out. Tears endlessly streaming: black tears, inky tears. Him asking in a sad voice, "why did you do that, brother? Why? I thought you loved me. This is all your fault." And he'd wake up sobbing, having nobody nomore. No sister. No brother. No mom. And a manipulative father. Life was a nightmare.

He knew he had to make it up to him. He had to. He also had to make up for his fathers horrible doings. So, once he was old enough, he decided to work at Freddy's to try to redeem himself. He never truly could though. Until Henry helped set multiple souls free; including his younger sister Elizabeth and him himself. And then he somehow found himself possessing an animatronic. No, he wasn't always very dormant in this new Body. But once Gregory came in to the pizza plex, well... he almost woke up. His soul sensed somebody. He had an error and blacked out. He was sensing.. family? He didn't know. But then he realized. It was Gregory. Gregory Gregory Gregory.

-"seriously, are you ok?? Hello?"

He then snapped out of it. His voice was a bit fragile now as he muttered "Yes, I am okay." To gregory. "Sorry about that..."

"It's ok!" Gregory sighed with relief. "I'm just glad you're alright! I thought you kinda broke there for a second--"

Freddy smiled to himself sadly, closing his eyes momentarily. If only Gregory knew who he was. Although his soul was now inhabiting the robot him, he wasn't aware of his true past. And that: well, that was for the best. Gregory could now just *live*, being free from the trauma that he himself caused him.
