   Summary

   With one arm to keep him from moving away, Kavar brought the other hand up to run through Lukas's hair. It was shaggy and unkempt likely from all the traveling and four days recovering.

   At first, there was little reaction from Lukas. His breathing was coming in fast and there were silent hitches.

   Kavar softly said, "I've got you, Lukas. You don't have to be afraid anymore. You don't have to be alone."
