Work Text:
t was almost like watching your own child grow up, at the ripe of age of just ten, Pim was handed a huge responsibility, his baby sister Amy. He watched her from the time she was born to the time she was throwing a vase at his head and screaming for him to get out of her room, when all he was asking if she wanted to eat dinner. He took care of her fuss free, his parents were either working or too hungover to watch her and that's where he stepped in. It felt like raising her on his own, he fed her, made sure she got up for school, made sure she got home from the parties she'd sneak out too, plastered drunk and stumbling he'd help her into the house sneaking her past their parents room and into hers, she'd fight with him ever step of the way, smacking him and cursing him but he chose to ignore the harsh curses after all she was just intoxicated.
He was maybe 17 at the time when he met his first crush. Scared of how his parents would react he kept it to himself, until his crush begged and begged him , wanting to met "the love of his lifes" parents. So. He caved.
Sat his parents down and told them but it seemed they were either way to drunk or tired to care. So... pim took it and ran with it. His parents didn't care, that was a good thing right?
What he didn't realize was that a certain set of eyes watched from around the corner , watching as the boys hands slipped underneath the table.
That was the past. Things never truly got better , they actually only ended up getting worse ,his parents drinking only worsened and his sister behavior grew worse, worsening when she met her future husband.
He was ecstatic when she brought the good news that she was getting married , flashing the Shiney rock on her finger towards the drunk couple their cheers slurred and hollow but pim jumped happily clasping his fingers together as he clapped
"Amy I'm so h-"
His cheery tone was interrupted by a harsh curse
"Shut the fuck up , your so fucking jealous" she laughed as she clung to the arm of her new fiancé. Pim only smiled and nodded knowing he shouldn't have interrupted her big announcement.
His sister looked beautiful, he watched from across the room as she slammed back shots, one after one, she was stumbling, her platform's kicked off to the side as she swayed on her bare feet holding onto the taller mans arm. Pim found himself smiling at her. He felt so proud.
He was soon snapped out of the flashing memories as the sound of the feedback from a microphone filled his ears, he turned his head to see the the newly married couple standing hand in hand as she was slurring most of her words she was thanking their mom and dad and her friends and everyone in her life for being there for her, pim found himself patting himself on the back knowing that he'd done such a good job at being such a good brother, his celebration was lived short , the single word slipped out of her mouth
"Faggot" he felt his heart drop as he could feel eyes on him
"Such a whiney fucking faggot, you fucking weirdo" her harsh laugh cut through him as he stared at the faces a burst of laughter filled the room , he found himself backing out of the room, as the insults kept coming slinging left and right as she howled with laughter along with the guests. He was grabbing at his shirt collar trying to pull it down, he ran from the tiny building, his breathing ragged as he slumped over holding his knees as he felt the contents in his stomach come up in his throat.
Where did he go wrong?
He ran his slim fingers over his face as he stared at his blood shot eyes in the mirror the deep creases under his eyes becoming more and more visible as the days past him. He didn't eat, he couldn't hold anything down,he didn't sleep and when he did he dreamt of the fire pits of hell, the burning fire melting his skin. He wanted to avoid it at all costs even though he knew it was coming. It was going to catch up to him one day.
He laid against the couch staring at his reflection in the TV. The continuous knock on his door was growing annoying but he couldn't find the strength to get up until it stopped and he could feel relief for the first time in what felt like years
That was until he was staring at a pair of faded ripped Levi jeans and a orange baggy hoodie, he followed the trail up to a almost pissed looking scruffy blonde man with his arms crossed
"You haven't been to work in a week... dude you gotta talk to me"
Pim didn't say anything as he buried his face into the pillow groaning softly
"Please Charlie.. I-
"I, what... I don't wanna talk about it cause I think I can fix it even though what have I been saying for years "
"It's my fa-
"It's my family " he mocked
"It's the people who've made me the most miserablest person on the face of the planet, but I don't listen to Charlie because I'm scared of the truth"!
Pim didn't say anything as he sat up allowing Charlie to sit beside of him
"C'mon man...they... she called you a faggot and laughed at you... if she really cared about you-"
Pim suddenly turned ripping at Charlie's shirt, his tiny hands ripping at the bigger man throwing tiny punches as they became more weak as the racking sobs took over his body
"She was all I had" he sobbed as he fell into the bigger man's arms pushing his face into the soft orange fabric
"She was all I had growing up, she's... why does she hate me, what did I do" he was almost screaming into Charlie's hoodie as he gripped harshly pulling at the fabric
Charlie ran his hand over his face rubbing circles into his back
"Just let it out man, it'll be okay" Charlie frowned when all he got was another harsh sob. Eventually he tired himself out and was slumped over drooling onto the scruffy man's shoulders
