Summary
Hanahaki disease inflicts itself upon those who are in a one sided or unrequited love. It grows flowers in the victim's lungs, causing them to cough or vomit flower petals, until the flowers make breathing impossible, or until the flowers are removed. If the flowers are removed surgically, the victim will loose their feelings towards the one they love. The only other way for the flowers to be removed, is if the victim's love is no longer one-sided. When their lover returns their feelings.
