Chapter Text
Love, something that kills a heart and rips it open, eating the blood and veins. It makes you so vulnerable, so weak.
That kiss meant everything to Blackbeard, having the warm lips clash with each other while the sunset went down was like a dream for Edward. But now he was sitting alone in a messy captain's quarters. There was a mess all around the room, books that had been burnt, swords and blood splattered on the ground. The only thing that was left in tack was the lighthouse painting that was held in the hands of the feared pirate. It would've been perfect if that wanna-be pirate didn't have to play his heart like a game. It had been a couple of months when he decided to go back to his 'old self,' the one that Izzy wanted to see in action again. The emotion that he was feeling was like the colour Purple, a mix of sadness, blue, and anger, red - he could write a poem using those simple words.
A door was slammed open as a crewmate slowly, limped around the room. The raspy voice spoke.
"Captain," Izzy said. "I have some news to share." Blackbeard looked at his right-hand man, seeing the content in the other's eyes, he flicked his hand as he signalled to tell him what the other had on his mind. "The dipshit is still alive." How vague was that? Edward thought to himself as his painted black eyes locked onto the shorter man.
"who? Come on you're acting like I can read someone's mind." Edward spoke, his voice was firm.
"The Gentlemen Pirate, Sir."
it was like a wave of anger and relief was going through his mind. Nearly three weeks ago he was informed that the man he once - well who knows if he still has feelings for him - had feelings for had been crushed by a piano back in his fancy hometown, leaving his dear wife and children fatherless again. Who the fuck goes out like that, more embarrassing than having their head stuck into boiling water that could melt skin off - which he had done to someone in the past couple of weeks. It took a moment for Edward to process the words he had been told.
Izzy continued with his sentence. "Should we have our men capture him and torture him?" Even though the man's voice was so raspy you could tell it had a hint of excitement.
Blackbeard glanced at the lighthouse painting that was sitting on the bed.
"Let's have some more fun. Chase him down and we will play a game of mouse and cat, hm?"
"Yes, captain," Izzy said as he limped out of the room, the door shutting quietly. But, he could hear the yelling that was outside of the sectioned area.
Let's see where that bastard is.
Well, the bastard in question is currently on a boat that he stole from some new pirates. It wasn't his finest moment, but, at least he had somewhere to stand instead of sitting in the tiny boat he first had. In the months that have gone past, Stede has now accepted to himself that the ocean is very big. The rich man walked around the deck as members of his crew were having a feast on the food they had.
Stede looked out into the ocean, turning his back to his crewmates, seeing the glory of the water moving and crashing onto the boat. But, he rather see the greatest pirate himself, Blackbeard. From the moment he faked his death, he has been looking around the ocean to find his love, to find the other, and to hope that they could be together once again. He sighed, the sun was setting down.
"oh Ed, I wish we could have a cup of tea together again."
He sighed, his eyes closed for a second to find some peace of mind. Maybe think of something to pass the time as they find the Revenge ship. A hand moved towards the vulnerable captain, was it his time to go already? The touch of the hand startled Stede, letting out a small shout.
"Captain," the voice reached out. "it's just me," Oluwande spoke, his voice having a bit of worry for the other. Stede opened his eyes to see the male.
"Oh," he awkwardly laughed as his body settled down. "sorry, Oluwande." he smiled.
'it's all good." The crewmate said as he looked at the ocean with his captain. He squinted his eyes a little bit to see something in the distance.
"I've just been so startled lately, feeling like someone has been watching me, aha! It's strange how the human mind gets afraid of being watched, isn't it?" Stede ranted on about how he felt more anxious as the days went past. But, those words were going in the left ear and out the other. Oluwande focussed more on the small boat he saw in the distance, two people on it?
"Captain."
"And then I and my daughter split the orange into two."
"Captain... There is a small boat coming in our direction."
"Eh?"
There was a small boat, smaller than the boat they had stolen, and two people on it.
What looks to be a man with curly hair and a woman screaming Spanish.
